Culiacán, Sinaloa: Cartel de Sinaloa Warns All Uber and Taxi Drivers

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

The Cartel de Sinaloa has just released an announcement for local Uber and taxi drivers within Culiacán.  A recently captured and released Uber employee warns all the city’s drivers not to sell merchandise that doesn’t pertain to the CDS plaza.

His message also mentions an upcoming purge for the city.

Video translation is as follows:

Sicario: Go ahead you fuck, let them know.

Captive Uber Driver: Listen up everyone, this is Cristian aka C-4 and I have a serious message for all the Uber drivers. I just want everyone to know that you’re not supposed to buy any bags of cocaine that don’t belong to the Cartel de Sinaloa. Whatever merchandise that you buy better belong to the right enterprise.

If you’re caught with something different things will go bad for you. Don’t be doing dumb shit. Because you’re not going to be forgiven for your mistake. As Uber drivers don’t deliver drugs to individuals that haven’t bought from CDS.

Sicario: We trusted you and you took a risk doing what you did.

Captive Uber Driver: Guys, I’m being told to let everyone know that we’re not supposed to be selling merchandise other than what’s been approved by them. Please don’t get involved with problems. Our only function here is just to be Uber drivers. And not to be delivering drugs for them. If your clients want to buy any drugs. It can only be purchased from the right enterprise. Guys avoid these problems.

Sicario: Let them know that with an advance warning there is no betrayal...

Captive Uber Driver: With an advance warning there is no betrayal here. Guys, the truth is that these matters are dangerous. Heed this warning for your own good.

Ok, this is Cristian aka C-4 once more. They just released me. I’m out on the street once again. And they wanted me to give this message to everyone: Don’t sell blow that doesn’t belong to this plaza. They trusted me only because someone that knows me vouched in my favor.

I should’ve got that beat down with that board they use for their hazing. As well as that scare that comes with it. But everything worked out in my favor. And now it’s all good. I’ve been released. But they wanted me to let you guys know. And in turn you also need to let your buddies within your groups know that with their advance warning there is no betrayal concerning these matters.

These guys are going to begin a purge with all the Uber drivers who are selling powder that isn’t a part of this plaza. This was the message I was told to let everyone know.

    2. I’ve heard that more than once in recent years. The 100 percent pure powder is no longer sold in Culiacán, or like it use to at least. People are getting their stuff from Mazatlán and El dorado, basically all Mayo plazas.

    6. J every market/region in the USA is different as is the preference of the method of consumption, for crack the users want it to hit and leave residue, nasal consumers for the most part want it to not burn or taste like gasoline as it goes down the nasal passages so the preferred quality should be sent to each region. In Culiacán they snort, maybe the Chapitos don't partake in using the product so they don't care and I'm very sure no trafficker who buys from a source country is ordering bunk material and will be vigilant to not receive inferior bricks

  7. These fools money is running out. This is a tactic only lower level people would use. Culiacan is gonna burn to the ground with these rats running it. Seems like Caro Quintero will take over via Chapo Isidro. Cause this is weak on their end. Chapo Guzman gonna die from a brain aneurysm.

    4. Getting paid in species forces the pusher grameros in mexico to sell or eat their pay, their bosses need all the money they can get for themselves and their government sponsors, politicos, police, military, businessmen, but mainly the governing governor, state budgets are just nor right enough and the steal needs some enhancing.

  15. What is with all the bitch-titted chubsters in these cartels’ ranks? Hard to believe some of these gorditos can handle themselves in a situation gone lopsided fast.

Even Lazcano Lazcano ballooned like the Hindenburg towards the end. Seems based on personal observation that Cartel life is like weightlifting: there are ZERO off days.

    1. Cartel life 24/7 or you get corpse. I don't think I've ever heard of a weightlifting program that you don't rest at least one day regardless on your workout split but I guess somebody advocates it🤔
