Transnational Criminal Organization's Smugglers Employ Dangerous Tactics:

February 1, 2021

Marfa, Texas: Smugglers are elevating dangers faced by illegal immigrants by transporting their human cargo in dangerous ways throughout Big Bend Sector.

Three major smuggling events have been thwarted by Big Bend Sector Border Patrol agents and local law-enforcement partners in recent days. The events show the dangerous and potentially deadly risks transnational criminal organizations will take with their human cargo as they exploit those seeking to enter the United States illegally.

Beginning on January 24, there has been a notable increase in illegal immigrants found in sealed cargo trailers, moving trailers, and even livestock trailers. These trailers were not equipped with proper ventilation, food, water, or protection from the elements. Agents made apprehensions of over 80 people in three separate events on January 24, 29, and 30. The number of smuggling attempts and the lengths taken to evade detection has increased throughout Big Bend Sector.

Smugglers were apprehended with active warrants, weapons in the vehicles, and previous criminal histories. Prosecution is on-going for multiple individuals under the appropriate statutes along with seizure of their vehicles, weapons, and trailers. Illegal aliens apprehended are citizens of Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala.

All subjects were processed according to Big Bend Sector protocols for immediate removal or further criminal prosecution. U.S. Customs and Border Protection continues to implement the legal authorities, Title 42, held by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to ensure that COVID-19 is not further introduced into the United States.

  1. Big bend is a very dry area. I can’t imagine going all day without water. That is some serious dehydration shit right there. It not only fucks up your organs but also your skin and mobility. Poor people. These situations are never black or white... we are humans who want a better living.

  2. Not all these migrants are noble salt-of-the-earth types. Just as in any group there will be a few ne'er-do-wells, criminals on the lam, deadbeat dads, refugees from gang justice. God bless the good migrants who make it to the US.

    1. God bless them for successfully invading the US, why? Its comments like this that cause me to believe that many of our viewers are mere cheerleaders for the criminals. Cheering for those who have the balls to put it all on the line for the greenbacks.

  3. The bad thing is why cant the countries they come from do better for their own citizens. US gives them millions every year for this purpose. US takes them in and its just another revenue stream for those countries with money they send back. So no incentive to stop. I say let them in but dont allow them to send money back.

  4. Fifty + (50+) years of drug war is how we got to this point. Immigration issues are solved via good policy, not with ongoing & proven unwinnable drug war and or walls. The drug war is nearly 100% responsible for the problems these countries are collectively facing. In conjunction with impunity and widespread corruption, these places are unliveable for most who live there. As Einstein once said, paraphrased, the definition of insanity is repeating the same action, while expecting a different result.

Despite all of the above, I don't think letting them into the US is OK. If we do, even just a little, the floodgates will open and we'll be overrun. I'm no Trumper, but let's be real...the caravans rebooted once Biden was voted in. The US is in no position to absorb thousands of welfare recipients, not now, not ever. To those who say they are hardworking people...jobs are a tough nut to find for our citizens these days, much less non-English speaking, uneducated masses from elsewhere.

    Off soapbox.

    Hasta luego,
