Note: Carlos Gómez Arrieta, the former head of the Federal Ministerial Police, was arrested for his link to the disappearance of 43 normalistas from Ayotzinapa, surrendered on Friday morning to the Attorney General's Office (FGR)

Gómez Arrieta resigned from his post a day after an interrogation video he made of a detainee, Carlos Canto Salgado,  in the Ayotzinapa case, who was tortured by police officers, was uploaded to social media. Canto was released.

Most of those arrested in the case have been released, even those who evidence proved likely culpability.  They were released largely because of ‘human rights violations’.  Use this link to view video

Carlos Gómez Arrieta, former command of the Federal Ministerial Police, linked to the Ayotzinapa case, voluntarily surrendered to the authorities in Mexico City, reported the Undersecretary of the Interior, Alejandro Encinas.

"This morning in Mexico City, Carlos Gómez Arrieta, former head of the Federal Ministerial Police, voluntarily surrendered to @FGRMexico authorities for his link to the  events that occurred in Ayotzinapa [43 normalistas/students]and for whom there had been an arrest warrant since March", he tweeted.

The former command surrendered this Friday at 10:20 am in the Plaza Morelia Park of Colonia Roma Norte, between the streets of Morelia and Guaymas, at the foot of a building that housed the missing Federal Security Directorate.

According to Federal Government reports, once Gómez Arrieta notified him of his location, agents of the Federal Ministerial Police arrived and executed his pending arrest warrant, immediately transferring him to the Altiplano Federal Prison.

Gómez Arrieta was General Director of Special Services for Security and Protection of People of the PFM from July 2013 to May 2015. His assignment to the Criminal Investigation Agency led him to be involved in the investigation of the Iguala case for a few months.

In 2015, the commander left the Federal Ministerial and later was appointed as Undersecretary of Public Security of Michoacán in the Government of Silvano Aureoles.

In June last year, through social networks, a video was released that recorded alleged acts of torture to the detriment of Carlos Canto Salgado, detained during the investigations into the whereabouts of the normalistas from the Isidro Burgos Rural Normal School.

In the video, Gómez Arrieta appeared, who then commanded the PFM, which cost him his position. On June 22, he resigned as Undersecretary of Public Safety in Michoacán and has not been seen in public since.

Additional Note:

The parents of the missing normalistas have asked the authorities for the extradition of Thomas Zerón, former director of the Criminal Investigation Agency, and the investigation of Jesús Murillo Karam, former Attorney General of the Republic.

They also asked President Andrés Manuel López Obrador that on September 26, the day that marks the 6th anniversary of the disappearance of the students, give a message about the progress of the work of said commission. The President accepted the request and indicated that he would give a preview of the work they have done on the investigation.

  1. The plastic bags, madrizas, chicharras and cattle rods up the ass failed at producing other than forced confessions without proof, but even the Abarcas "the Imperial Couple of Iguala" seem to be innocent of the accusations agaknst them regarding the 43, they were not even able to kill and disappear 5 people comptently before Ayotzinapa.
Omar "El Trucutú" Hamid Garcia Harfuch was director of policoa federal in Chilpancingo Guerrero nearby since before the 43 were kidnapped and disapprared, while Arrieta and Zerón arrived later to do their tortures and cover-ups...
Of course, after the crime, Garcia Harfuch "El Trucutú" turned into a Ghost, "the Ghost of Ayotzinapa", the Students were going to protest his grampas massacre of Tlatelolco in MEXICO 68.
El Trucutú's grampas was General secretary of defense marcelino garcia barragán "El Carnicero de Tlatelolco" doing his crime of state for diaz ordaz and luis echeverria alvarez, "El Halcón Presidencial", (the presidential hawk) then secretary of the interior already working with the Guadalajara Cartel of his father in law Zuno Famiglia Godfather and former governor from Jalisko.
El Trucutú sure tried to clean his grampas memory and good name, bit even his daddy was a corrupt boss of the DFS political police turned nest of Drug Traffickers that helped kill Kiki Camarena...

  2. Why not take this P.O.S. and torture him in a town square in front of the public and then blow his 2 brain cells out. Gotta be more effective then moving him in the front and out the back of some prison.

    1. 9:34 well, that should help the defense get the real criminals of Ayotzinapa out of trouble...
Killing all witnesses to his crimes is helping keep Alvaro Uribe Velez out of prison in colombia and the US and La Hague
