LYNNWOOD, Wash. — Officials with the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force on Saturday seized 1,400 grams of fentanyl, the largest amount ever seized in county history.

A 38-year-old Lynnwood man and a 36-year-old Lynnwood woman were taken into custody during a traffic stop in Arlington.
Detectives received a search warrant for the car and said they found 13 grams of heroin in the center console and a pistol under the passenger seat floorboard.

A search warrant was then served on the suspect’s house located in the 15900 block of 35th Place West in Lynnwood.

Inside the home, detectives said they found:
Approximately 1,400 grams of fentanyl powder.Approximately 808 grams of heroin.Approximately 12 grams of methamphetamine.Several blenders with copious amounts of suspected drug residue in them.Several digital scales with suspected drug residue on the weigh plates.Copious amounts of various types of drug packaging materials, including vacuum-sealable bags and a vacuum sealer.Copious amounts of cutting agents for the manufacturing of illicit narcotics for sale.
Binding agents for the express purpose of producing counterfeit pills.A 9 mm handgun.A pistol grip 12-gauge shotgun with a sawed-off barrel and an obliterated serial number.Various calibers of ammunition.Approximately $14,000 in cash.
Officials said the street value of the fentanyl seized is from $14 million to $23 million. KIRO 7 is using the $19 million estimate as summarized by the investigator in the Snohomish County Superform for the suspects’ arrests.

“From this supply, about 1.4 million counterfeit pills could be produced and the amount of fentanyl the suspects possessed at their residence has the capability to cause the death of approximately 700,000 people,” a spokesperson for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Both suspects were booked into the Snohomish County Jail.

  2. Good. The streets up here have been looking like zombie land for awhile now. Seattle, Portland, Tacoma, Yakima, Spokane....awash in fent, H, and meth. Prices have went up, but demand still high. Word is come is very hard to come by, the last CPL months. But this bust was at least a ding in the supply for the weekend maybe.

    1. No wonder some want to "defund the police"- to get their drug plug. The stupidity of some knows no bounds. I call it felony stupid.

    2. @1104 the war on drugs will FOREVER be a failure. How about you take that right wing bullshit somewhere else. Defunding the largest gang in the world has nothing to do with drugs and having easier access. Drugs are everywhere and even in your blonde haired and blue eyed “Christian” communities. Since the beginning of man it is known that we love to alter our state of being. So just accept it and move on grandpa.

  5. The math doesn’t really work out. That’s 10k a gram. Fent was like 15k a kilo 5 years ago and it has only become more widespread. I never messed with it personally but was incarcerated with someone who had federal distribution charges and was selling it for 15 a gram wholesale. I understand it could be broken down into pill form and repressed but .001 of a gram for $10 seems ridiculous. There may come a time when we have to let another wave of people out of prison for out of date drug sentencing laws
