CJNG: Who are "El 03" and "El Doble R"? The leaders of Mencho's "Grupo Élite" whose "power" video went viral

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat  TY Gus  El Debate

The Sedena confirmed that the videos in which the CJNG presume their weapons are real and that it is the "Elite Group", an armed group led by Juan Carlos González, "El 03", and Ricardo Ruiz Velasco, "El Doble R", under the orders of "El Mencho", maximum leader of the group

During the morning conference on Monday, the head of the Sedena, Luis Crescencio Sandoval, pointed out that  the two videos  broadcast are authentic and that it is about the so-called "Elite Group", an armed wing of CJNG enforcers that has been involved in various violent acts, including the murder of three municipal police officers from Villagrán, in Guanajuato.

The groups that appear in the video and claim to be “Pura Gente del Sr. Mencho”.

The so-called "Elite Group" currently operates in the states of Michoacán, Guanajuato and Zacatecas and is under the command of the maximum leader of the criminal group, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, "El Mencho".

History of the Grupo Elite/Elite Group

Grupo Elite was founded in 2018 by Juan Carlos González , alias " El 03 ", who boasts being the leader of the armed wing, while Ricardo Ruiz Velazco, alias " El Doble R " and/or " Tripa", is the leader of the cell in Michoacán, this is according to data from the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena).
                                                                    Tony Montana

In May 2018, Luis Carlos Nájera, a former prosecutor from Jalisco and at that time the Secretary of State Labor, suffered an attack that he survived. Within days, authorities detained six people linked to the attack.

The six detainees were identified as belonging to the "Elite Group" of the CJNG, according to state attorney general Raúl Sánchez Jiménez, who detailed that they confessed that they dedicated themselves to "cleaning the plaza and killing members of opposing criminal cells."
That was the first time the "Elite Group" had been heard of in the spring 2018 arrests.

One of its leaders at the time was identified by the PGR as Emilio Alexandro Pinedo" El Sobrino", who in turn served as the security chief of Antonio Oseguera Cervantes, "Tony Montana", brother of "El Mencho".

"El Sobrino" was arrested in July 2018.  Revealed on his cell phone, were conversations that had transpired on ‘WhatsApp’, which revealed his involvement in various murders including images of  youtuber Juan Luis Laguna Rosales, known as " El Pirata de Culiacán”. [Below]

He was also identified as the alleged link between the CJNG and federal, state, and municipal authorities, who were on the CJNG payroll, allegedly providing protection to the criminal group by reporting on impending operations.

On August 5, 2019, the "Elite Group" reappeared, threatening José Antonio Yépez, " El Marro". It would be this armed wing that has led the bloody war against the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel that has plunged Michoacán into a spiral of violence.

Another fact to which this CJNG cell was linked, is the murder of Adolfo Mendoza Valencia, "El Michoacano", the alleged head of a rival group's plaza in the Valle de Santiago municipality.

In 2019 the group also participated in an attack against the Villagrán municipal police in Guanajuato, where three deaths, one wounded and four kidnapped were reported.

Sedena analyzes the videos

La Sedena indicated that both videos were recorded in the limits of Michoacán and Jalisco by "El Doble R".

In the first, the members of the "Elite Group" shoot into the air while shouting the name of their leaders:

"El Mencho"; his son Rubén Oseguera González, "El Menchito"; "El 03" and "El Double R".

It was an exhibition of the military power of the armed wing, as well as a sample of support for "El Mencho", who celebrated his birthday on the day the video was released, according to General Luis Crescencio Sandoval."

Sedena clarified that so far there has been no direct confrontation between the Federal Forces and the CJNG's armed wing with the weapons and vehicles that appear in the videos.

The head of the Sedena assured that the presence of elements of Public Security will be strengthened to prevent violence in the areas where the CJNG maintains disputes with "El Marro".

    1. Nope, the minute they turn on them they’ll take them out,Chapo bought the government and in the end they turned him over to the gringos.Don’t think the same won’t happen to Mencho unless he gets surrounded and he tries to run through the rooftops and gets gunned down like a dog but of course his fanboys are gonna say “he went out shooting”

    2. No Mencho has way less men and a huge chunk of the money they make goes to bribes so they can operate smoothly for the most part. That means that the real bosses are the bosses in government. Governors, Generals, Etc those are the people the cartels produce the most money for. Just ask Mayo Zambada, he’s said it multiple times that he feels he works for the government not the other way around.

    3. @8:09am-

Look, the Mexican government has the complete ability to demolish the cartels. Currently, the air force has 3 Northrop F-5's. They are a little old but they can ef some sheeat up. Not to mention that the Mexican air force also operates 20 UH-60 Blackhawks, which are outfitted with miniguns.

The Mexican government also has tons more armored vehicles with mounted .50 cals. They also have a lot that the cartels cannot obtain, such as towed and mobile Howitzer 105mm artillery guns and everything in between that and anti-tank rockets, including a large variety of anti-armor rockets and missiles. Ranging from 84mm to 106mm.

Look, if Mexico REALLY went to WAR against the cartels, then Mexico could win, perhaps easily, but there would be 1000's of innocent civilians killed, if not 10's of thousands.

The Mexican government has the best spying and intelligence capabilities thanks to us, the USA, however, there are too many high ranking corrupt individuals in the Mexican chain-of-command that disrupt everything. I believe that previous admin's have been corrupt, all the way up to the president, himself.

AMLO, though, is a pacifist and I do not see corruption in his plan. The main issue in Mexico is corruption. A solid plan could never come together without being infiltrated. The Mexican Marines are the only mostly loyal force that Mexico has. Notice the word "mostly".

  9. This must be the dumbest shit CJNG has ever done. A lot of people I know IRL have been talking about the video. It was reported on at least all major/mainstream news networks in the US. The general consensus is that the cartels keep growing stronger and the Mexican government has not and will not do anything to shut them down. The nukes are coming; CJNG will be bringing them.

    1. Exactly a multi billion dollar industry that brings in cash to the elite and enough young men join and die in large enough numbers to thin out the numbers of the poorest sections of the country just enough to avoid the constant revolutions and civil wars. This industry has been tool of the state to generate revenue for them and keep those who might rebel into a state of fear and submission.

    2. RR has a song by Grupo Cartel, and they have only made songs exclusively for CDS in the past. Los Alegres Del Barranco also made a song for him. The Alegres song surprised me since 3 members of the group are related to the guzmans, the singers being from San Jose del Barranco and chapos being from La Tuna (neighboring ranchos ). This was a rumor, them being related, but I spoke to a friend from Revolcadero and he said they indeed are.
