    1. That would be awesome but too dangerous. They would be in danger showing there face on a podcast that has millions of subscribers not a good idea unfortunately. Or maybe with a ski mask on idk I don’t see that happening though.

  5. I saw his first appearance on this podcast great insight can't wait to watch this one. Wonder if sicario006 ever feels guilty for cheerleading all the misfortune trash that plagues mexico

  6. Would love for him to invite Anabel Hernandez to his podcast and for you ( Chivis) to also do a podcast or at least a short series. Thank you for all the hard work and passion yall dedicate to this blog.

  8. One thing that I didn't really see them touch on, is the fact that they were so willing to stand up and fight against the government for Chapo's son, but no one stood up and fought back when they went in and got Chapo. Not to mention that, they spent so much money over the course of 30-40 years combating marijuana trafficking. And it got them nowhere. Huge bulky loads of marijuana being smuggled over the Border. It was a lost battle. Now they are sending billions of dollars of heroin and Fentanyl over the border that takes up no space to smuggle. This is a lost War. You could wipe out every cartel in Mexico and it would not curb the problem. One of the big problems in Mexico is, the covert operations that governments are running using covert funds, from things like fentanyl heroin, not to mention Colombian cocaine. This doesn't have anything to do with Mormons or the Mormons being murdered. It has brought attention to a problem that has long existed. But that attention is always been there and everyone know it's going on. As long as it's feeding the US market, no one gives a damn. Everything is smoke and mirrors.

    1. "But no one stood up and fought back when they went in and got Chapo."

They didn't have a chance to. The Chapo raid happened quickly and initially they didn't know he had been captured as he initially escaped the safe house via a tunnel. It also didn't occur in the middle of Culiacán. Completely different situation.

  9. Guy gives absolutely NO advice on how to handle getting stopped by cartel roadblocks.. you just dont know what they'll do.

    1. What advice is he going to give? If you get stopped by a cartel roadblock there is really only one thing to do. Be respectful, give them whatever they ask for (a toll... your truck...) and hope they don't kidnap you or worse. That really is all you can do.

      Delete
    2. He says, "Don't go in those areas"

      Delete
    3. You have to take one of his cla$$es/$eminar$ for that kind of advice.

    4. Maybe is cause he wants you to take his class to learn the tricks of the trade

  10. I guess he's never going back home. Ballsy

  14. I love the attention that Joe gives to Mexico... But he still is only scraping the surface.... Not one mention of a dismemberment or beheading.... Need someone in there can can get into the details. :-)

  17. The entire situation is about Drugs and the Mormon group in Northern Mexico trafficking Drugs into the United States. The Mormon group has long been on the radar of US DEA, They are by no means as innocent group that has dual citizenship.

  18. Chivis,

Ed talks and gives his opinion of the largest Lithium reserve in Mexico, what do you think about the Lithium in Mexico that is the largest reserve in the world? In your opinion, how will this affect and effect Mexico in that region. How will this affect and effect the other players that will be involved?

  19. Joe, your bad language adds nothing to your pod cast. Why do you use it? Makes you sound really uneducated.

  21. After viewing the entire podcast I took it down from our twitter feed. Too many huge errors of fact and speculations were not identified as such. :( mata zetas, los zetas, autodefensas etc etc etc...I wonder if someone checked this guy out? where did he work? how long? what capacity? and so forth. For me it was disappointing.

Are other podcasts from Rogan like this?

    1. Exactly, agreed, Autodefensas working for China? Iron ore? He saw that La Tuta interview from YouTube. Tuta says the Chinese buy iron ore from him. Why would the Autodefensas be working for CHina dude. Joe Rogan credibility is 50/50 on anything outside of California or MMA.

    2. A good interview is that bodybuilder that gets kidnapped and escapes... Not Joe Rogan and some buddy from San Diego. I was trying to read what his shirt says?

      Delete
    3. Joe doesn't know any better. That is why we need some BB personalities to go in the show.

    4. I see your point Chivis babe... But tell me where else the drug problem gets 2-3 hours of coverage with millions of people? :-)

    5. What were the biggest mistakes you to noticed in the podcast Chivis?

I thought armed intervention within 5-years comment was a bit of a stretch.

    6. I’m glad you said this I was thinking the same in my head lol

    7. Chivis..exactly how I felt about his 1st interview. It sounds like he is just explaining Stories he probably read,or seen on TV..i say that because that's how I explain situations to people that never come on these sites,or watch real mexican news.It doesn't sound like he has REAL 1st hand knowledge of any of that.

    8. It was pretty bad. Inaccurate. Incomplete. This is not about Rogan, I have seen one other of his podcasts and it was excellent, his interview with Grillo.

But---Oh Boy, have to keep it real. People can judge for themselves but I feel better giving my dos centavos.

    9. Matazetas for one, it was CJNG who technically worked as enforcers for sinaloa but were not cds they were and always were cjng. In fact when chapo discovered the people in Boca del Rio were innocents that fractured the relationship between cjng and cds.

michoacan AD, it was all about the Chinese? WTF? I almost fell out of my chair. he was confusionismo AD groups.

      his characterization of zetas

      the arrest of ovidio

      etc etc etc

the most outlandish thing he said was a dangerous prediction of "Boots on the ground in 5 years" this gives fodder to the far far right wing nutjobs who think the solution to mexico is to destroy the country. Look I am a conservative. I am talking the fanatical, uncompromising, far-out, extremists, which are found in all political parties. Go to Breitbart and click on a post of Mexican cartels and read the racist comments. I am talking about those people.

I would still like to see this guys vetting. I want to see his background. and check it out as much as possible. I feel I should email Rogan. Grillo can vouch for me if he doesn't know who I am.

  22. For those who read bb regularly or have studied the drug war in Mexico, it is disappointing that the level of insight given in both podcast appearances was pretty surface level. Unless you are fairly unaware and new to the issues, he didn’t even provide the level of insight gleaned from doing your own reading online. What is very interesting is when a sicario or higher member gives an interview. The former cdg guy that was written about on bb fairly recently, and laid out the happenings of the cdg split between metros and the other factions was very good.

    2. 1) What unit was he with in Tijuana or Baja...or was it a Fed group? Hard to say as he offers no details.
      2) When did he do Executive Protection work? Were you a low level cop in TJ that posted perimeter security on a "visiting dignatary"?
      3) He seems to be taking info he learns from others (or online) and repackages it in an attractive way
      4) "Specializes in non-permissive environments" This is total huey unless you are operating in certain parts of Syria or Somalia and other failed states during their period of lawlessness.
      5) His counter escape was taught by other select schools where he learned it and also learned from students of these other schools.
      6) No details of his background = Bull Shit.

He will ride the money train and keep faking people out until he is exposed. Until then...keep teaching other peoples shit Ed....good on ya. Tourist pics of you in Culiacan won't cut it anymore. Yeah and say hi to "Doc" Voodoo....holy crap people are gullible, including Joe Rogan and the others that do zero vetting and fact-checking before making somebody a start and seem legit.

  28. Ewe 😞 this guy is a phony, can we get someone on here that knows how to spot a liar? Like a homicide detective, a criminal psychologist? What is he talking about? He sounds like he’s fascinated with crime in Mexico and this interview is based on the interwebs here say. . . So awkward watching him interview. He doesn’t even speak proper Spanish bro 😒 he must work for Vice 😂

  29. This Ed Calderon guy is a total fraud!!! Look at what he says on this youtube channel named SPOTTER UP ...He is totally lying... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4YIZOrvhtM Ed Calderon says that on the day of the "Culiacanso" the day they arrested Ovidio Guzman and let him go because the government was overpowered by the Sinaloa Cartel...he says @ 26:16 that "he can tell us for sure that the Sinaloa cartel took down a few helicopters but that doesn't, didn't make the news." Ed Calderon is a total fraud!!!
