Agents of the Attorney General of the State (FGE) of Guerrero and Oaxaca arrested Irving "N", alias "El 14", designated as the alleged leader of the Acapulco Independent Cartel.

Through a statement, the agency explained that the accused was arrested on the basis of an arrest warrant for the crime of aggravated kidnapping, as he would be responsible for having deprived a woman of liberty in the municipality of Acapulco, Guerrero.

However, Irving, "El 14" is also investigated for his probable involvement in the crimes of homicide and extortion of businesses in the Guerrero port, as well as drug transfer and arms trafficking, the FGE said.

After his arrest, "El 14" was made available to the Attorney General's Office based in Acapulco, and will be transferred to the Las Cruces prison to be prosecuted.

On December 30, 2019, the Initial Hearing for the formulation and imputation was made for the facts that appear in the judicial file 153/2019 against Irving "N", decreeing the judge preventive detention against the accused.

Likewise, the social representation investigates Irving "N" for his probable participation in the crimes of homicide and extortion to businesses established in the port.

The State Attorney General's Office appreciates the support and coordination of the Oaxaca Public Prosecutor's Office that allowed this important detention.
