Villa Union Coahuila: CDN reportedly enters Five Springs Guerrero, Santa Monica, PN --21 dead

Storming into town in a large convoy, CDN [northeast cartel] members stormed the Coahuila town of Villa Union, population 8000, attacking local government offices and prompting state and federal forces to intervene.

The authorities confronted the suspects when they fled along the well-known road 'The Gas Gap', which leads to the boundaries of the municipality of Anáhuac, Nuevo León. Authorities were tracking CDN by land and air, with the collaboration of two helicopters.

Through its official accounts on social networks, the State Government reported that today they killed another 7 criminals, from the shootouts of yesterday in Villa Unión, Coahuila.

17 criminals killed, four Coahuila police force dead and six injured is the official toll of the confrontation between the Northeast Cartel and security corporations.

Yesterday, Governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís travelled to the municipality of Villa Unión, where the confrontation was recorded.

Villa Union is minutes away from Allende where the 2011 massacre occurred.

Yesterday my friend Lacey told me “Chivis, the Sedena is outside of my suegro house.”

They live in Guerrero a town adjacent to Villa Union.

She further reported; “The CDN came into 5 manantiales [Five Springs] today. I am sure you have seen the videos. They entered between Guerrero and Santa Monica. They entered Santa Monica and when they came thru one of the trucks was wrecked so they placed it sideways on the road and set it afire.

Unconfirmed but hearing now that they are in Piedras also and set afire c4 near the Fuerza Coahuila near Puente 2”

The C4 was attacked. The Secretary of Public Security of the State reported that the corporation responded to the attack with firearms before six in the morning in C4 in the municipality of Cd. Frontera Coahuila near Monclova and apx 3 hours to the border/Piedras Negras.

Through a statement, the state agency announced that there was no loss of human life or injury, and that everything was reduced to property damage.
The C4 command systems, is a new system that is a model in Mexico.

“Command, Control, Computing and Communications Center”, that interconnects metropolitan regions with security.

Located in Coahuila in La Laguna [Durango border with Coahuila] and across Coahuila giving instant data and images to interconnected municipalities. This includes a video surveillance camera program.

The program is supported by federal funding.  It is too early to determine how much of an impact it will have, but clearly CDN thinks it has value as the centers have come under attack.

  1. Interestingly, Fox News is showing most CDN trucks with Texas plates. Are they stolen, legitimate purchase?

    1. stolen
when I first arrived in coahuila over a decade ago, one day my assistant said she wanted to show me something. She took me to the outskirts of town in the dusty border town I was in.

There in the middle of vacant land was what appeared as a car lot. vehicles, watercraft, motorcycles even motor homes. All with Texas lic plates. no one was on this lot, and no one dared stop or mess with the inventory, this was a zetas car lot, staged vehicles ready to be taken where needed.

    2. Alot of those cars and trucks are stolen out of san antonio

      Delete
    3. I recall about 8 years ago, there was a mass car theft operation by los zetas in acuna. 200 vehicles stolen, even off the bridge, just ordered folks out the truck or car and took off into mexico with the vehicle

    4. and this " car lot " is just known and accepted by the cops? oh ya I forgot.. this is Mexico.

    5. Prob out of San Antonio because in the last 20 years it has turned into criminal Mexico with all the illegals. Prob 3/4 of them are just handed over for money. Then they can say it was stolen and collect the insurance. The owners are in on it too. You add the Mexicans you get the " culture " along with it.

    6. Racist piece of shit, add the Mexicans get the culture , your a idiot , how about you Europeans going on back home

I crossed into N.Laredo on thanksgiving day. There was national guard and marina patrolling the city. The state police has even safeguarding US citizens out the city via a convoy.
The locals say CDN went to Coahuila and Nuevo León. I’m sure that’s why shootings increased recently .

    12. Living near the border on the U.S side its very common to see on social media or hear from relatives or friends in the area that someones truck was stolen at gunpoint when they crossed into mexico.

    13. 1:18 that lot was probably owned by corrupt tejas sheriff lupe treviňo,
escorting drug loads through tejas was not profitable enough for him and his son.

    4. Hey Chivis , on that car lot a friend that used to work in CFE in Coahila border Town tell me about seeing a big car lot whit a lot Texas plates he said just because it was a CFE worker was able to see that but he realize that it was CO trucks

      Delete
    5. Maybe it was the same. It was past las cuevas. No one even was on the road or around the cars. I told my assistant "hey no one is here" she laughed and said "yes they are you just can't see them and I am not going to even slow down."

EVERY lic plate i saw was Texas. even had wave runners on trailers. it was mind boggling.

I heard there was another on hwy 2 on the way to the little bridge where the zzeta santa muerte chapel was. But off to the left on a smaller road. I never went hunting for that one. I did get some great shots of the chapel before and after it was demolished. One was on the cover of Dr Bunkers last book.

I always wondered why the US didn't go after the vehicles. they were only 20 min or so to POE bridge.

    1. And I would like to thank all of you simple minded fools that think these problems Mexico has are solved easily, there's no simple answer to any of this , and to those who think killing more people will put an end to this bloodshed , may God bless us all ,let me not forget all the cartel cheerleaders ,poor misguided souls that you are .

    3. But Fox , Calderon and EPN actually pacted with these cartels and with prove.
Your only claim that AMLO supports them is that he is not fighting them head on like Fox , Calderon and EPN did? And what did that do for mexico. Just sunk it more into chaos, and corruption.
Goes to show how the American-mind thinks, bloodshed bloodshed and more bloodshed. The past 3 presidents fighting cartels head on and not even making a dent in the narco enterprise should be enough proof that, that strategy was a failed one.

Any proof that AMLO is in their pay-roll or you just talking out your ass?

Yes hes given you more the the last 3 presidents combined,
transparency, less-corruption and actually is helping out communities in need(the poor) all narco valuables are given back to the community(once sold)
Money is used , for roads for the poor , the elderly etc etc.
Unlike the past presidents pocketed everything they confiscated. From money to drugs to properties.

      VIVA AMLO

    10. AMLO and his tean hasn't changed ANYTHING, they still use the same tactics as the past administrations did, and why? Because it works to use the military on the streets and that strategy was implemented by Calderon, Amlo thought he would be clever to only change the uniforms and name of the Mexican military and of course that didn't changed anything in fact it's getting worse day by day. Murder rates going up, recession is about to hit, etc.
Fuck AMLO and his brainwashed fanboys

  8. Ever since the allende massacre and the murder of the son of the governor, they have been tough on organized crime in that state, the laws dont mess around and will take cdn out immediately, thats why you dont hear of much crime in saltillo and monclova like back in 2010. Only some cdn that hide in piedras & acuna. I think monclova & saltillo are the safest northern big city’s

    1. I agree with what you say about Saltillo. Although we were locked in a hotel all night as an hours long balacera was going on. and the next day 'no pasa nada' as far as the news outlets were concerned in coahuila. notoriously a naco news blackout state like tamps--so the news is greatly filtered.

  27. What is the motivation behind this attack? It doesn't make much sense to me. Of course we never get the full story but its strange. CDN as far as I know is the only cartel in this area. (I live close to here) If they have the area under control why come into a small town and shoot up city hall? Either someone in the city government wasn't playing ball or another cartel is trying to enter the area. Many different possible scenarios. Or maybe it was another cartel trying to heat things up in the area. If anyone has any other info or ideas let's hear them.
