Claudia Ochoa--flower wreaths, star balloons and live ranchera music for her goodbye

Claudia's Burial:

Regardless of how one leads their life, in the end, everyone deserves the right to be buried with dignity and have their friends and family mourn them as they please. In the eyes of those that loved them the most, they see no wrongdoings, or if they accept them, have at least made peace with it. In the complex story of Claudia Ochoa Félix, her life may have been rumored with violence and crime, but for her friends and family, despite her troubled past, they remembered with a lot of love.

The loved ones of Claudia Ochoa Félix gathered in Culiacan in Sinaloa, Mexico, for her burial and funeral services.

As reported two weeks ago, on Sept. 14, Ochoa Félix was found dead in Culiacan of a possible drug overdose. Juan José Ríos Estavillo, the Sinaloa State Attorney, has now confirmed that to be true. He also said, according to Milenio, that there was no suspected foul play.

Estavillo “reported that the substances Ochoa Félix ingested were those that caused her death due to bronchial aspiration asphyxiation, and clarified that it was a death derived from a non-violent cause.” They also report that her body was then turned over to her family on Sunday and then take later to a funeral home.

Her brother also confirmed her death via Facebook saying, “Hi, I’m Sergio Ochoa Félix just to inform you that my sister Claudia Ochoa Félix has passed away. We thank you for everything and thank you very much rest in peace sister see you there in heaven.”

Her family and friends filled the burial site and the funeral home with countless flowers and balloons.

The funeral service area was decorated in such a lively way that it resembled a celebration and not a funeral. People donated large flower wreaths, as well as flowers arranged in massive crosses, which adorned the entire premises. At the burial grounds, friends and family released gold and silver balloons in the shape of stars.

They had also a live band that played traditional ranchera music.

  5. To all the bottom dwellers mocking her death, take a good Luck at the last pic. 3 beautiful children left behind without a mother, losing her during a pinnacle and important time of their lives.

  18. "Regardless of how one leads their life," is the type of sentiment that is killing my country and its children. So it is okay to be involved even indirectly (perhaps directly) in the dark-ages violence that is affecting millions--regardless--I'll do what I want when I want to achieve anything I want toward any purpose that I so choose (to make it sound proper I might even say that it was my right because I was providing for my family), and then when I die some people will idolize me calling me a good mother, darling, doll because I fulfilled some soap-opera fantasy based on my good looks and or talent as a celebrity that meant something in their sheltered minds. That kind of self-absorbed fantasy outside of childhood is at the level of mass psychoses. To be a responsible adult, one must give way to the proper authority of the processes of accepted social life or everything becomes the chaos of many demanding individual needs leading to such as criminality, corruption, and other social decay. My Mexico needs to grow up and stop hiding behind our prideful television-type induced coma. This barbarism just will not do; these types of eulogies are killing by inherently promoting the fantasy, regardless.

Its refreshing to hear a Mexican deploring this kind of worship of these animals who bring untold misery to Mexico. Its sad to see some of the comments lauding her yet they never met her,she herself promoted her connections and lifestyle in pictures and backtracked when it suited her. This adulation of these people is disturbing to say the least..

  20. It's sad that you all can judge someone without even knowing anything about them , judge only by what you percieve to be the truth but most of the time it's not, you don't know if she was a good mom to her children or not.

    2. She lived of the blood and souls of people dying in the drug trade. She posted pictures of herself living the same. She died of an overdose supposedly and left her children alone. And you question whether or not she was a "good" mom? Yeah right. As stated by someone above, the world is a better place without these people.

    3. Your right. The only thing we know for sure is that she overdosed and died getting high and partying all night for a good number of consecutive days while her kids were safe and sound at home with the baby sitter.

  21. @10:29 you really need to stop. I just don't understand how anyone can find joy in someone dying 😢

  27. People judging her because she sinned differently, stfu people acting like they're so perfect. Liars and haters with evil hearts calling her a bitch and what not. It really shows your character, how miserable can you be to comment such hateful things, I get it it's your opinion, but what a piece of shit you must be. So, I guess these people have never sinned. Losers. May she rest in peace. Also people dont know what kind of a mom she was, these people acting like they knew her personally. Smh. May she rest in peace.

    2. Hey 6:13 AM, your comment to whomever "what a piece of shit you must be" as your conclusion destroyed your entire premise; and you judged; and you don't know what kind of person any of these commenters are, so aren't you doing the same that you're against, get a grip. Truth is that we all judge and nothing will ever change that because society needs to judge. A hint, it's why we have judges.
