Empalme, Sonora: Mexico's Violence Does Not Respect Age

Yaqui for Borderland Beat from: Infobae y OpinionSonora

In Mexico, violence does not respect ages.
A new tragedy against minors was lived in the municipality of Empalme, Sonora  where, violently, an armed command entered a house, took a man and then set the building on fire with four people inside.

Inside the house were children, Dayron, 8 years old and Keyla, 2 , as well as their mother Perla Verónica, 31 and their uncle Christian Abel, 25, all who received second and third degree burns in the attack. The father is the man who was kidnapped.

The events occurred at 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday, in the building located on Boulevard September 16 and Calle 20, in the Libertad sector.

Opinion Sonora is now reporting that little Keyla has been stabilized with 90% burns covering her body, but her big brother Dayron has succumbed to his death in the hospital in Guaymas.

According to reports, before the fire, the gunmen detonated several firearms into the house , firing repeatedly then it was entered by a man who kidnapped the man  identified as José de Jesús, alias "El Pelón", 23 years old, father of the children.

They sprayed gasoline to the house and set it on fire. The small victims reported burns of 90 percent in the body , while adults had burn injuries to 60 percent of their body.

The fire was reported to emergency number 911, so elements of the fire department came, who rescued people from the house on fire. Red Cross paramedics transferred them to a hospital in Guaymas, Sonora for treatment.
Relatives and friends of the victims asked through social networks to join in prayer to recover from the unprecedented aggression that they lived through in their home.

The Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System recorded 1,688 homicides from January to July in 2019, with June being the month with the most murders (158).

A similar situation occurred in Chihuahua on August 25, when three girls of four, 13 and 14 years of age, as well as a 25-year-old man, were killed in Ciudad Juárez . The events occurred inside the victims' domicile, where more than 100 percussed caps were located.

The man was killed and the three minors all received bullet wounds to their heads with assault rifles.

    2. Baseless statement -- this is how you prove you know nothing about cartels. RCQ would never do this. He's the last one of the old school. No mujeres no niños. This is not his doing. Check with the dumbass Salazares, that sounds most likely.

    5. @8:20 another news outlet has it as Salazares. They even have a confession from a woman who claims she was forced into trafficking. Anyway, according to this woman it was some sort of "ajuste de cuentas" the kids father was a local sicario that was kidnapped and the house was set on fire shortly after.

  6. Sonora is OWNED by CDS or factions within. There is plenty of infighting between those factions yet they still proudly carry the CDS banner period. CDS kills babies end of story.

    5. CDS was a term coined by the U.S government to identify traffickers from the Sinaloa/pacific region but the reality is it's incorrect. These traffickers are for the most part independent... the best way to describe "CDS" is by comparing it to a Westfield shopping mall. With the mall itself being the region and the stores inside being independent retailers. You're going to have major retailers like Dicks, Nordstrom's, Macy's, Bloomingdale's and the rest of the little mom and pop shops along with the franchises. They're all competitors but because they conduct businesses out of the same mall they try to keep the place clean. In the case of cartels like CJNG they can be compared to a Walmart. They pretty much pop up in different regions under one brand and disrupt the local vendors. Salazares are independent of RCQ. They have way more power in Sonora than Rafa and act independently.

    6. Westfield Malls are Populated by gangbangers, thank you.
Their security forces can barely keep up with the job,
until they decide to close shop.

    7. 8:58 CDS independent contractors or not were always said to be controlled by Chapo and Mayo Zambada hence abided by their so called moral codes where innocents were not to be hurt or killed. This has not been the case lately as evidenced by all these stories.
Then there is the contracting of minors as hitmen/cannon fodder something inexcusable within itself.
Lastly the highly forbidden speaking of narcos in Sinaloa and specially from CDS having sex with many an underage girl and even taking them and marrying them by force if neccesary. Even the mighty RCQ being accused of this many times over the years before being locked up.
CDS mentality is far from just the drug bussiness like they claim.

  7. Damn man, what do the kids have to do with anything their father did. The code of the old guard is long gone. I’m afraid we will never return to a time of peace in Mexico. What do you think has caused this? Maybe no more guidance from the elders?

  11. I'm going to start my own war somehow with those serial killer assholes. Most of Mexican society has grown too complacent, told to accept the inevitable, and they believe the government of appeasement: go back to your televisions, your fantasy, and just continue enjoying getting reamed in the ass. What ever happened to Mexican pride, the pride of the ancestors: they would not have stood for these crimes of infanticide or for our collective Mexican cowardness.

  12. 006....Where were the elite fire fighting forces flown in from California to help battle the flames??? If plane tickets couldn’t be bought....shouldn’t GN special ops have enough training to turn into firemen?

  13. Politicos and huarchilos have destroyed the cash cow PEMEX.
International tourism is finished in Acapilco and many other Mexican destinations. Cancun intl tourism will eventually be destroyed, too.
Without these $$$ generators Mexico will further slip towards 30 pesos to the us$ ravaging Mexico's economy and destroying the countries and corporations ability to repay any debts denominated in US$$$$
If you think Mexico is hell now just wait when 2008 2.0 depression hits!

  14. Got to be the baby killer cartel. Those families and peasants are easily killed, because none of the innocent had weapons at home to protect themselves. Send in the State special force, that took a mayor's brother, but it's noticable they don't do the work, they are supposed to do.

  15. The most powerful message in the Scarface movie was when he refused to kill his target because of children and wife being in the same vehicle. "NO WAY, MATAMOS ESTE TIPO SIN MUJER y SIN HIJOS" Of course it's a scene from a Hollywood movie but these atrocities were less common back in the days. And it's time for people to admit that all modern day cartels kill innocent people including children.

  20. Wow, now a citizen needs to go to college to learn how to defend/kill for their country, is that what you are implying? You know little of Mexican history perhaps, so go read about Villa for instance, just one instance. Pancho Villa was the son of a field labourer and was orphaned at an early age. In revenge for an assault on his sister, he killed one of the owners of the estate. Not sure if he was smoking pot, but he did a good job for a time.
