Videos: A float, band, horses, cerveza, the funeral of “El Napoleón”, jefe de plaza

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat  from Inforbe, Milenio facebook and Twitter

This is how Sergio Alberto D., aka “El Napoleón”, was given a sendoff,  who was murdered when he was eating in a well-known family restaurant in Hermosillo.

El Napoleon a few months ago was arrested along with four subjects, being allegedly involved in the murder of a police officer in Guaymas.

However, the alleged man was released due to “lack of evidence”.

The waste that characterizes how drug lords in Mexico are sent to their graves. In the midst of a procession of luxury cars, dozens of floral crowns, and  arrangements, band music, beer and an ostentatious float, Sergio Alberto del Villar Suárez, aka "El Napoleón" is sent to his final resting place.

But, what most caught the attention about  the funeral of the Jefe de plaza of the Los Salazar criminal group, was the operation of motorcyclists of the Municipal Police that guarded the "solemn" moment.

A video revealed by Milenio Noticias shows the huge number of people who participated in the funeral in Hermosillo, Sonora, where the narco originated.

Last Sunday, "El Napoleón" [below left] was killed by a man, who shot him twice at close range, while having dinner at the famous Ballpark restaurant.

One of the surveillance cameras of the business recorded the moment when a guy in a cap and blue shirt ambushes the hitman, who had dinner with two women, shooting twice and killing him.

As can be seen, there were children at the adjacent table who witnessed the killing.

Los Salazars

Los Salazars announced their arrival in the world of the underworld of Mexico in 2005, when violence and violence escalated throughout Sonora and Chihuahua.

The members of this cell are involved in the planting, production and transfer of drugs to Arizona, , as well as the smuggling of migrants..

The cartel was headed by Adam Salazar Zamorano, aka "Don Adam", who was one of the operators and lieutenants of Joaquí "El Chapo" Guzmán.

The criminal activities of "Don Adam" and that of his son, Jesús Alfredo "Ekl Muñeco" and Adam "El Indio" Salazar, caused the forced displacement of 1,200 people in the municipality of Sonoyta, Sonora, and about 300 families in Las Chinacas, in Chínipa, in 2015.

The Salazars have a dispute with "Los Memos", an organization headed by Adelmo Niebla González, aka "El Señor".

It is presumed, the criminal group of Adam Salazar is behind the murder of the journalist, Miroslava Breach, in Chihuahua.

Breach, a correspondent for La Jornada, uncovered the links between the Sinaloa Cartel, the Salazar criminal group and police authorities.

Also, Alfredo Jiménez,  covered reports for the criminal group for El Imparcial. Jiménez also investigated the links of Los Salazar with the Beltrán Leyva.

Since 2005, the Attorney General's Office of Sonora maintains an investigation against the criminal cell and the Beltrán Leyva brothers and PRI politicians in Sonora.

The Milenio video is pretty bad with all the unnecessary blurring--if you see a better video please send to me

    1. He was let go just a while after. Oddly enough this victim was barely on his third day as acting manager. I am guessing the former manager left his post and they confused this one for him.

    2. He was safely released early Sunday morning by his kidnappers in Hermosillo, Sonora.

  17. 11:15 the Salazares kidnapped by the police and diverted to their killers were not let go, then the Sonoran police officers kidnapped by somebody else were not let go.
It will be a while until people get their belly full of victims to make peace.
