$1 million snatched from CDN, just like that!

Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas - Staff from the Customs Office of Nuevo Laredo and the Tax Administration Service, with the support of the Mexican Army, seized more than one million dollars in cash.

The cash was transported in two boxes that simulated having office furniture in a mini van that was traveling along the Nuevo Laredo border.

Yesterday morning by bridge number 2, elements of the Sedena were performing a routine inspection when they detected the vehicle with the money.

The van was manned by a man and a girl of approximately 10 years of age, which is allegedly his daughter and was later picked up by relatives.

Authorities informed that the bills were distributed in 29 bundles and the total sum is 1 million 70 thousand 400 dollars.

The person in charge was at the disposal of the headquarters of the Attorney General of the Republic of Nuevo Laredo for the corresponding investigation.

  4. Oh dear, someone will pay for that, probably his family. Do cartels have an insurance policy for that type of thing?

  12. Depending on the cell, this could either be a big hit or nothing major. Not every cell in Mexico is booming with money. Some of these rag tag groups don’t make as much as people think.

  15. Since 40 was apprehended with $2,000,000 in cash on him, this doesn’t seem like much.

Also, don’t forget the “bounty” that Grupo Bravo/ViejaZ stole when trying to catch up with Huevo.

Someone correct me but didn’t the photos show bags of $10-20milliln in USD?

  16. CJNG putting pressure on CDN money launderers right before going all in into Laredo plaza.

  18. This is a perfect Opportunity for AMLO to make a statement about how the seized cash will be distributed into various social welfare programs (shelters, orphanages, food shelves, etc) to ease the suffering of the community. Do right by the people and they'll love you for it! A person could do a lot of good things with that money!
