Vicente Zambada Plea Agreement

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat

In case you may have missed my posting of this Plea Agreement a few moths ago, I am re-posting. This plea was entered into in November 2018.  There are some interesting tidbits pertaining to his history and sentencing guidelines.

Although Vicente Zambada received a favorable sentence of 15 years and credit for time served, it could have been much sweeter as the range was 10 years to life.
With a maximum fine of 10M.

In the plea, Zambada agreed to cooperate with the government in locating assets that could be used to pay the fine.

His ability to remain in the U.S. is subject to immigration court and no certainty is given or implied.

The last sentence is interesting, as he and his family will enter the Witness Protection Program, and one would assume he has a solid opportunity to gain status, even asylum. I am also posting the full 27 page hearing transcript of his intent to plead guilty

Below are the documents from my scribd page

  1. Why should it surprise anyone of the questionable agreement made by the US Government?
It's the government they do what they please because they can.

    1. It's disgusting how easily our gov can make such lenient deals to some of these scumbags and not others. IMO most of the CW's in Chapo's trial, were worse criminals than he. It's no wonder most of these guys sing. Just talk, and you'll eventually walk.

    2. @5:49, it just depends on what you know. The lower level people always get it the worse because they have the least to offer.

    3. Well, Vincenzo (and his father and uncles and Co.) earned plenty for the US government before, and I don't mean respect, they had to come out and be counted. This was a man they could not abandon in a prison full of DEA rebel boy scouts.

    4. 5:49 it may be disgusting, to you, but not to others that remember when there were not so many murders and dismemberments before the Mexican government agreed to fight the US so called "war ON drugs"
that became a war of murdering any Mexicans by government's melitary and poolesias.

    5. So compromising death and destruction for tranquility is reasonable?
Despite Free Will to engage or not, still don't make it right. A moral responsibility to its citizens and society far outweighs its true transparency.

  2. Very smart kid, played the system well, will enjoy his life in witness protection programs, Ain't nothing wrong with that. I'm just surprised the Government didnt ask him to give up his dad???

    1. I agree. But then again Don Mayo is too smart to stay in one place. Giving him up is fruitless.

    4. This kid went against his daddy and gave up a lot of key players in cds. Played the system? Sure kid lol
Did you even read the article? or are you like the rest of cds groupies that just post stupid sh!t
More like the system is playing him tonto
He's a government informant since the 90's and the same people that let him operate are the same government that captured him and gave him 17 year in prison.. but according to you idiots he played the system hahahaha

    5. Yea keep asking yourself why and you’ll see how dirty the gov is

    6. They don't really want his Dad, or RCQ....if they really wanted them, they'd have been killed, or caught. Those 2 have paid off more officials than the rest combined.

    8. Like I said Granderojo.
He made that deal after the fact of getting caught by eavesdropping devices while incarcerated. A conspiracy against the twins family members whereabouts from an individual who also was fighting a drug charge in Chicago's federal lockup.
This is where things shifted against him to do cooperate.
Government had his ass along with the other individual who forwarded the information. Funny thing is the individual who tried to gain his trust received a hefty sentence 40+ years.
A dealer of cocaine but not to of Vincentillo's caliber.

    9. 4:58. Try reading the article before posting and making yourself look like a fool. The article clearly states Mayo gave VZ his blessings to cooperate and get his life back on track. Mayo gave him a pass to say what was needed to get out. Pay attention kiddo.

      Delete
    10. 8:32 article might say that but it's just speculation
The fact of the matter is he gave a lot of key cds players to get that plea agreement and still got fuc[<ed
He wanted to retire but got put in the slammer instead, if you read other articles it clearly states the fact that vicentillo was expecting a diferent outcome. He wanted to take the case to trial on the defense that he was working for the government as a "informant " so cds can operate with no arrests. Prosecutors were not impressed and still put his @$$ in prison.
Not 3ven government respects snitches lol

    11. The system played him.

They want to be in that life but when shit hits the fan they sing without being asked to lol.. look at mochomo facing life and he didn't say a word, got sentenced and still didn't say shit..

    1. Chapo has never snitched dummy

    2. But let’s be honest here, most people would snitch. Mochomo is the exception to the rule

      Delete
    3. Except Chapo never ever said a word to help the Dea or US govt when in custody.. what are you talking about? Have another swig of your budlight compa.. They said Chapo was very tight lipped and refused to talk. When did Mayo snitch? You dont know what Mochomo said either..were you there? I doubt it.. Mochomo was a nobody it didnt matter what he said... they cared about Arturo and his connections not his coat tail riding second rate brother.

    7. Chapo has snitched before in Mexico, he has a long history of it.

      Delete
    8. @10:49, but who did Chapo snitch on? I still don’t get that. Or Mayo? Do you mean when they used the military against their enemy? That’s not snitching, that’s called the Art of War. VZ did snitch although, so you are correct on that statement.

    9. Oziel Snitched too.

  4. When all is said and done he’ll have done about 15 years in prison in more misery and stress than most would have in an entire lifetime. He may not have had as much jail time as many of his contemporaries but 15 years is not exactly a blink of the eye. Wouldn’t trade places with him if you offered me all the riches in the world no thanks.

    1. 5kg is the lowest threshold for that sentence. Essentially, getting caught with 100 Kilos or 5 Kilos is the same charge.
