Veracruz: State Secretary Accuses A.G. Winckler Of Providing Protection To "El Largato"

Armadillo For Borderland Beat From Proceso

XALAPA, Ver, -The head of plaza of the Cartel of Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), Jesus "N" "El Lagarto" was moving in official vans of the State Attorney General's Office to carry out their illegal activities in the south of Veracruz, said the Secretary of Government , Eric Cisneros Burgos.

"There are well-founded suspicions that the Prosecutor, Jorge Winckler, is part of organized crime."

The Moreno official said that "El Lagarto" is "protected" by the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) and that its owner, Jorge Winckler Ortiz will have to give an explanation.

"We have very reasonable suspicion that this same man was moving in cars of the State Prosecutor's Office, the evidence is already being integrated by the Attorney General's Office because" El Lagarto "is saying many things that the Prosecutor will not agree to."

Cisneros Burgos stated that "El Lagarto" charges a toll, extorted money from businessmen and kidnapped people with complicity from the FGE.

"You know, despite the fact that" El Lagarto "was arrested in Campeche by federal elements, until now the Attorney General has not requested an arrest warrant against him," said the government secretary of Cuitláhuac García's administration.

"El Lagarto", plaza chief of the Jalisco Cartel Nueva Generación (CJNG) in southern Veracruz and one of the alleged perpetrators of the execution of 14 people in a party hall in Minatitlán, which occurred on April 19 was arrested a few days ago in the municipality of Escarcega in Campeche.

The arrest of "El Lagarto" occurred once his brother, Ernesto "N", "El Mingo" CJNG drug dealer was arrested four days ago in a colony of Minatitlán.

In Veracruz, 70 percent of its territory, from Pánuco to Las Choapas, has a tacit presence of criminal activities of the CJNG, offenses ranging from the transfer, sowing and chemical preparation of narcotics, theft and sale of fuel, as well as the collection of extortion to pirate merchandise/

  1. Why should this surprise anyone!

Everyone seems to be on someone's payroll in Mexico. Criminal organizations have embedded themselves with politicians for decades.
    Like rice and beans.
