Morelos: Kidnappers escorted by police unit

Sol Prendido Borderland Beat from VXT

Escorted by the Policía de Investigación (PDI), a group of four men armed with pistols and a high-powered rifle, dressed in civilian clothes and in a private car, kidnapped a merchant who was outside of his home, on the streets of the Morelos suburbs in the Venustiano Carranza town hall.

After accusing him of being a narcomenudista (dope pusher), they demanded 100 thousand pesos in exchange for not imprisoning him. In the end, his family paid 40 thousand to have him released.

The video shows the moment when men take the merchant aboard a white Vento car. Behind them is the official unit of the Policía de Investigación. It is patrol unit # 03090.

According to data obtained by this newspaper, the kidnapping occurred on the afternoon of last Tuesday, April 23, outside on parcel number 21 on Mineros street.

It was 5:12 pm when the camera caught the kidnapping. A man in a cap and shirt grabs the merchant from behind and around the neck, at the same time he puts a gun to his head. At the exact same moment, other men in a white car approach. A subject with a long weapon gets out of the car.

The men who had already submitted the merchant, open the back door and lift their victim. They place him in the middle and climb in on both sides to flank him. The subject with a long weapon climbs into the passenger seat as well.

Before boarding, the men observe a car behind them. And within seconds a patrol can be seen approaching them. It is a completely identifiable unit. It has a  turret, strobe lights, crash bumper, logos of the PGJ and the identification number 03090.

Authorities revealed that on that day there was no provision made by Investigative Police in the Prosecutor's Office of Venustiano Camama, nor in the Central Prosecutor's Office against the narcomenudeo (dope pusher).

Relatives of the victim revealed that the men in plain clothes claimed to be police officers and demanded the money. In the end they managed to gather much less. That night they released the victim.

  2. Nothing new here just more government involvement in criminal acts. This is how a Narco State operates.

  3. Unacceptable what these public officials do and their involvement against their communities.
Tailing along for the extortion process. Probably just to get a torta out this. Because we all know to well that once on the hook with criminals the slices get smaller and smaller.

  11. Thanks sol. Damn dirty cops! That's what we need more of, the people using security cameras to show the complicity of law enforcement in these crimes! Then again, who would protect you after you came forward with the video? You couldn't seek police protection after you've exposed them because they're all dirty!
