Acuña: 2 civilians die in clash against Fuerza Coahuila

Chivis Martinez  Borderland Beat from SigloTorreon

Note:  North East Coahuila continues to be a hotbed of violence, in the cities north of Saltillo.  In the past week there have been 7 clashes between CDN and Fuerza Coahuila. Fuerza is the so called elite state police force, who replaced GATE.  GATE was created by Humberto Moreira who was governor at the time.  GATE force became as terrorizing as the cartels, according to citizens reports.  Fuerza’s force of 3000 and according to the Governor, their main purpose is to fight Zetas.  CDN has had a hold of  this territory, which is not far from Nuevo Laredo, their most important plaza.

FC clearly is not in the pocket of CDN and appears to have begun an all out effort to challenge their presence.  The uptick of violence began 6 months ago, in places like Saltillo and Monclova and advance north from there.  This clash took place in Acuna which sits on the border across Rio Bravo/Rio Grande to Del Rio Texas.

 Clash of today

This afternoon state elements killed two armed civilians in the municipality of Ciudad Acuña.

There was a military checkpoint which was ignored, and began a chase that ended in a shooting.

According to official information, after ignoring a command to stop two civilians began shooting against the Fuerza [FC] who was on patrol in the breach known as Las Cuevas-Los Novillos.

The Attorney General's Office reported that the occupants of a gray pickup truck, Toyota brand, without license plates, sought to avoid a military checkpoint located on the road, however in that gap were surprised by the FC State  Police, who were performing  a surveillance patrol.

After this, the two men dressed in black, with tactical vests as well as helmets and long weapons, descended from the vehicle, and  began an attack against FC.
In repelling the attack, the two armed civilians were killed.

  1. The question is what has changed in Coahuila that FC is now actively hunting CDN? It’s not like they haven’t been here in Coahuila for a long time.

    1. yes.
I ha predicted mencho would come up through Veracruz first then advance in Coa from La Lacuna across then north to CDN territory. Previously the Coa part was a hard nut to crack because it was a Zeta state meaning the state gov was on the payroll. Zetas owned everything and had to bless all actions incl the press. this was the doing of the Moreiras. Now it appears the state has switched sides. If CJNG is successful in advancement in Coa then the crown jewel is in their grasp---Nuevo Laredo. I believe however that can't be done without some alliances within CDG

    2. Chivis, can you give us some more insight into CJNG’s presence in Coahuila? Where are they and how are they breaking into the state.
      Thanks

  5. when I lived in Tijuana in 2006 I met an officer named Eduardo, great guy! this guy worked under Leyzaola and was a complete badass who would not let corruption get to him, today he is a private security instructor working here in the USA. For years he tried getting Joe Rogans attention since most people talking about the drug war are way off and today his wish came true. Check out the interview its #1302

  8. Puras pinches mentiras, the victims here were ordered to put on the uniforms and to take the truck and run for their lives, Colombia style of Falsos Positivos.
Nobody with two inches of forehead is trying to fight police or melitary, specially not by death squads of two guys BS.
Fuerza Coahuila may not be a friend of CDN, but they need to show work, and innocent people is paying for it so the moreiros can keep doing what they do best, rob the state of cuaguila. Just do the accounting, how much juersa cuaguila is costing the state, and all just to protect the Mother facking moreiros.

    1. You think they were bad guys? LMAO. They were a couple of fools the Fuerza shot to make it look like they are fighting the bad guys. In Mexico the cartels control every level of government and every branch of law enforcement. No one is fighting any bad guys.

    2. You gotta laugh when you see Justicia on the side of the Fuerza truck. They really have a sense of humor. They fight for whatever cartel controls the local government.

    3. The black uniforms barely fit the dead "crooks" that will never come back to testify because that was the idea.
