VERACRUZ, Veracruz - Attacks on the police, 11 deaths, blockades, and armed forces operations is the outcome over the weekend due to the wave of violence that has hit Veracruz since the Jalisco New Generation Cartel has lashed out against authorities of the Ministry of Public Security.

After a violent Thursday and Friday, on Saturday morning, clashes continued, now in Jáltipan, in the south of the state, where an armed commando attacked a command of the Civil Force that at that time was empty.

In the same region, there were reports of blockades by people who burned vehicles to block roads leading to the southeast of the country.

In Tlalixcoyan, the SSP reported on the dismantling of an organized crime camp, in which no arrests were reported.

In the municipality of Textitepec, in the Coatzacoalcos region, two men were found dead inside a truck with a message addressed to the forces of order.

In Soteapan, also in the southern part of Veracruz, the mayor of that city, Crisanto Bautista, was attacked by two shots, injuries that left him hospitalized in a serious state of health.

On Saturday night, police elements responded to a call for help to the city of Cosoleacaque, in the area conurbation with Minatitlán, where they found four people shot dead, one of them was 13 years old.

In Poza Rica, north of Veracruz, a subject with a gun fired on the owner of a grocery store, depriving him of life.

In the municipality of Álamo Temapache, near Tamaulipas, a taxi was attacked by people with long arms, murdering a woman who was five months pregnant, making a total of 50 feminicides since December 1, 2018, when Cuitláhuac García Jiménez took power.

That same day, more narcomensajes appeared in different parts of the territory of Veracruz, all containing threats against rival criminal gangs.

On Sunday the death of a cattle rancher in the municipality of Atzalán, by Martínez de la Torre, was announced. The rancher had been dead for a week.

In Las Choapas, on the border with Tabasco, another rancher was kidnapped and found dead by police authorities.

In Ixtaczoquitlán a young man was attacked with gunshots and died in a sports field in that locality.

    2. Correct. That's why AMLO officially stated he will not be seeking reelection. The lawlessness and corruption has swept up Mexico like wildfire. A no brainer for him. Despite his continuous efforts to bring peace and positive change. Challenges of stupidity are too much to overcome by those such individuals.
Curious to know the true number of good people and families which left Mexico to another country? Safety has been an issue for those residents for some time. Added with the lowest of travelers visiting?

A big cinote is needed for these individuals to be thrown into. Save the shoveling and earth mover equipment money for restoration projects.

    3. 12:08 Our constitución is the reason AMLO will not seek re election

    4. 12:08 reelection is forbidden in the Mexican constitution,
AMLO would be the first to tell you and the first to refuse to change it, even Salinas and epn did not dare go there...
No restoration projects are contemplated either

    5. There is no reelection in Mexico's presidents lmao it's only one term

    6. I always wondered if an amendment having two three year terms is better. 6 and out really has no consequence to bad behavior. 3 years and possible 3 more years is better. at least they most likely would perform with lessor corruption and actually do some good---for 3 years

    7. Keep blaming the war on drugs for your criminal problems. If we legalized all drugs and robbed the cartels of what makes them money, they would just transition to other crime to make money.

The problem in Mexico is WEALTH INEQUALITY. People wouldn't commit crimes if they had a chance at a decent life.

    8. AMLO respect "our constitution"
Others chose to wipe their ass with it and all its pages
for about 100 years already, and the constitution allowed it.
Same as on the US, but in a smaller scale...

  2. CJNG is afraid of their Papi Sinaloa lol.
That’s why when they had The Chapitos, they released them.
And don’t say, it’s cause they paid $$
Because many people in mexico pay for a kidnapping, and they still kill the victim after receiving the money.

    3. You actually believe that? The government must have warned Mencho to let them go to avoid a massive war in Jalisco.

    4. 9:34. Menchos bluff was called immediately by El Senor....Mencho didnt want none and release them LOL.

    5. So you’re saying Mencho can kindapp, humiliate, kick on camera, make menores cry n shit their pants, and still be alive, take more than 3/4 plazas of CDS away. Yes somehow he’s afraid of a 70yr old man who like to rape minor girls n boys? Really!!

  14. 8:46 Zetas change the administración and the ways they do business and for this reason they have many years with no wars.

Wars is very expensive and CJNG has wars everywhere which they can not do without tax and kidnap of the peoples. These activity will align the carteles, AMLO administración and peoples of Mexico against CJNG.

    6. Dear MM
Repubs have those far -far-far right bigots for sure but it is in the minority.
Dems has those far far far left communist/socialists loonies who are prejudice in their own right.
lets be clear-loonies on both radical ends of the spectrum.

I was born a dem-my mother had a portrait of kennedy hanging in our dining room until the day of her death. I remained a dem thru college and most of my twenties. then i hit the real world

Then I took charge of my own ideology. While studying dem vs repub I realized i was not really a dem I was more align with republicans. So in my thirties I switched parties, and remained a conservative centrist since then. I have never voted strict party line. I voted Clinton second term because he deserved it, as he learned to work across party line.

Now lets move to 2016. I could not stand Trump, his bombastic, crude, rude manner turned me off. I left the republican party registration rolls when he became the nominee, and registered NPP or no political party. but at the end of the day, it was between Trump and Vile Hillary,,,so to keep my promise to my Abuelita to never turn my back on the privilege of voting---I voted Trump, while wearing a clothespin on my nose.

Later I realized that Trump is a retaliatory hitter, and I shouldn't care so much how he "acts" or tweets, but how/what he does for me, my family and our country. And he isn't doing badly, in fact he has absolutely surprised me. And for that which I know personally, such as foreign policy in Asia, and trade with certain countries such as China he is SPOT ON. Listen to what he is saying. Me, having an international business head quarters in china for more than 30 years, i KNOW what he says is fact. The tariffs totally lopsided. The tariff breaks were given to china as a developing country...does anyone think China is still developing?

In China, Our Dodge vans cost us 100k each for our business with china duties. and that's for starters. I wish I could go on... but you are a smart guy you get the picture.

I will leave you with this thought. Regarding Those "all talk no action dems"---since I have been in Mexico with our family foundation over a decade, I have met wonderful Philanthropists, founder of amazing charities, some family like mine, others religious based etc. I am stunned that not once has any been a liberal founder, all have been conservative republicans. So they old thinking that conservatives don't care about the downtrodden that only liberals do--i think it is more like all talk and no action.
Now I realize that is a generalization and it is dangerous to think in those terms---which is not unlike you assuming the pinhead above had to be a trump supporter. verdad?

      Stepping off my soapbox---✌

    7. Wow Chivis! You voted for Trump?! I’m shocked! So did I. I even placed $100 bets that he would win and in the first few hours on election night, I was getting messages to pay up yet it was too early and I said it’s not over until one gets to 270.

Sometimes we have to pick the taller midget or the lesser of two evils. I voted for trump because of the Supreme Court, Federal Judges, Trade, ISIS, Border Security and because he has balls.

Are you a practicing Jew or Catholic?

      Queso

    8. I agree. But I am happy with the progress he has made. ISIS, economy, judges. There are some issues whereas I think he is wrong--the handling of the 'opioid crisis' for one. Attacking RX is a losing strategy it is no longer the issue, fent in street drugs is. fighting the drug war is a failed approach, 'catch the capo' also. expensive and does nothing to change anything in a positive way.

As for judges, I understand that each party, when in control, will select judges based on political ideology. BUT i wish they would be centrists. that better levels the playing field. Anyway, those are my thoughts. I am an independent thinker. My parents loved and hated that about me, jaja. but they strongly supported my finding myself and making my own decisions.

I am Christian. baptized and confirmed catholic, but I explore various religions. At the core each are alike in the sense of mandating a set of moral standards and 'laws' to live by....Paz

    9. off topic...BUT so awesome, from VICE just now re: ISIS

“This sprawling organization that stunned the world has crumbled and is close to being defeated. It's been painful, and difficult — from the day ISIS started to this moment,” “But it's ending now.”

  16. I am sure that training camp they dismantled without arrests was the one used by the contras nicaraguenses to traffic drugs, weapons contra-paracos and billions of dollars in the 80`s... Rafael Caro Quintero owned it in cahoots with DFS director Fernando Barrios and Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo where Cuban American Felix Ismael Rodriguez Mendigutia used to impersonate a CIA agent to boss them around... No arrest were ever made there either, ever...

21 people arrested, 8 of them police officers, corpses located about 37 miles away in a mass grave containing hundreds of victims used by gangs and police to dispose of bodies, (rancho El Limon)
(The police used to hand over prisoners to SSPEV CHIEF Arturo Bermudez Zurita's death squads for processing of ransom, torture kill and disappearances, they used to call them "Los Fieles")
--More interesting than how many gun shops are there in mexico, but thanks, I believe you'll get better

  21. Fernando Gutierrez Barrios, director fundador of the DFS and sponsoring patron godfather of the communist groups all over mexico, he would get them fat and ready to market, he was there for the torture and murder of Kiki Camarena with the best of the best, Felix Ismael Rodriguez, Juan Ramon Matta Ballesteros, miguel angel Felix Gallardo, Rafael caro quintero, director Manuel Bartlett, and other police and military, a life long friend of Fidel and Raul Castro and el Che Guevara after he arrested them before the Granma Odisey that took them to power.
