Yaqui for Borderland Beat from: Vanguardia
The Prosecutor's Office reported the finding of skeletal remains of at least seven people.

Guadalajara, Jalisco:  The Attorney General of the State of Jalisco reported that an investigation folder was opened regarding the location of a clandestine grave in the community of El Lindero , in the municipality of Lagos de Moreno.

Through a statement, the agency said that the investigation was begun after the report that  foul odors were emanating from a specific area. They carried out the proceedings which led to the location of human bone remains that apparently correspond to seven people .

The Office of the Prosecutor indicated that personnel from the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences also went to the site to carry out their work.

On Tuesday, another half-buried body was also located on a farm in the town of San Sebastian , after investigations into a person who was arrested on Sunday, who also was holding three people deprived of their liberty. The three people were rescued safely and in good health.

It should be noted that this is in the same vicinity in which 19 bodies were exhumed near the end of Oct 2018.

In total , 19 bodies and two skulls were found in late October, buried in a clandestine manner in an area of the municipality of Lagos de Moreno in the Altos Norte region of Jalisco, according to sources from the Attorney General's Office.

In an estate located near the Camino Real , behind the San Miguel Buenavista subdivision , in Lagos de Moreno, a clandestine grave was located last Monday, Oct 25. There were 16 men and 3 women, once again people in the area reported putrid smells to the authorities leading them to investigate the location.

In Lagos de Moreno, intentional homicides continue their upward trend, in comparison with last year, and until October there were more homicides than in 2017.

At the close of administrations, both federal, state and municipal, and despite the joint operations of the three levels of government, violence flared up in 2018.

Until October of this year, according to figures from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP), in Lagos de Moreno , 46 intentional homicides were committed , while in all of 2017 there were 41.

Lagos de Moreno is the only municipality outside the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara (ZMG) that registered a dozen homicides in the first 10 months of 2018, since it was ranked 7th at the state level.
ZMG the most violent

The most violent municipalities are from the ZMG, until October, Guadalajara registered 497 homicides; Tlaquepaque, 356; Tlajomulco, 242; Zapopan, 212; Tonalá, 149, and El Salto 92.

At the state level, as of October, there were 1,516 investigation folders for homicides.
