Juárez Cártel sicario, extradited to the U.S. facing murder charges for the killing of a drug thief

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat from Milenio

A suspected drug trafficker, a member of the Juárez Cartel arrested in Mexico, was extradited to the United States to face murder charges for the death of a man 10 years ago in Albuquerque.

The spokeswoman for Bernalillo County Sheriff, Felicia Maggard, said Jaime Veleta Jr, 35, was extradited from Mexico on Wednesday, to face charges of murder, kidnapping, aggravated robbery and tampering of evidence, in the murder of Danny Baca, 53, in January 2008.

Veleta, Along with three other men, were following the orders of the Juárez Cártel when they kidnapped Baca at gunpoint, who had stolen about 7000 dollars’ worth of drugs.

Baca, who allegedly worked for the cartel, smuggled marijuana and cocaine from Juarez to El Paso, hidden in obscure compartments in a Ford Mustang he was driving.

However, Baca kept some of the drugs and sold it for around 7000 dollars.  The cartel sought to send a message and warning about drug theft with the killing of Baca.

Baca’s body was found on January 11, 2008 in the middle of a dirt road just outside Albuquerque.  The body had received 22 bullet impacts and then set afire.

Two accomplices, Gerardo Núñez and Mario Talavera, have been arrested.

Veleta had remained a fugitive until last March, when he was arrested by Mexican federal agents, in the border community of Cd. Juarez.

    1. 7:03 people who steal from the cartel are usually charged and killed swiftly to silence them, they are many times innocent too, unlike the Italian Mobsters that take things up to the commission to approve executions of the unfaithful, but not always,
the traitors that gave in to the Russian Red Mafiya by taking down the Goombas of the New York 5 Families, are just getting found out.
some had such "good patriot covers"

    1. That is what happens when idiot racists are left in charge of the cartels.
Carrillos saw the potential of having a powerful U.S. street gang the Aztecas as allies. These fuckers in charge now got everything fucked up and now they are paying the price.

    2. According to news sources in chihuahua, la linea controls the majority of the drug trafficking in the state, and the opium cultivation. They still have confrontations with sinaloa in the sierra and still fight for control of the drug sales. Cds lost a capo or 2 not too long ago in the state capital.

    3. 3:28 the Carillos are accused of betraying colombian royalty Don Castor "El Gordo" Ochoa in Cd Juarez/ El Paso, causing him to lose a few tons Cocaine contraband to the US and stealing about 20 000 pounds from his Cd Juarez warehouse after killing and disappearing him for a while, Arthur Beltrán Leyva inherited Amado's Empire for a little while, but the Ochoas from Colombia paid back for everything, EPN like all the other former presidents of Mexico have been deep in the Colombian drug traffickers pockets for a while, JJ Rendon, his hackers, alvaro uribe velez and General Naranjo stole the election for EPN, WITH $50 000.00 USD WORTH OF RUSSIAN SOFTWARE, Don Pablo Escobar was also brung down by the team, with US assistance, must have done somebody wrong...

  8. Chivis do you have any update on Chino Antrax, wasn't he scheduled to be sentenced April of this year? I thought he was just an enforcer for the cartel, and wasn't in the business of moving drugs.

  9. These Juarez cartel sicarios are a low levvel thugs and coke heads. They lack the military discipline and training that CDS sicarios have.
My Team all have minimum of 5 years of special operations training and minimum 2 years of combat in some of the most dangerous places on earth. Such as Syria , Chechnya, and Colombia. We all live by a code of honor and duty to the Cartel. Gente Nueva Special Forces and Antrax Black Ops always gets the target always completes the mission
    with zero collateral damage .
