We don't have to make this stuff up.

FREEPORT, Texas - Nearly $18 million worth of cocaine was found in boxes of bananas Friday in Freeport, according to authorities.

US Customs was alerted when two sergeants from the Scott Unit found a white powder in donated boxes of bananas. The power tested positive for cocaine. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice said the bananas were donated to the prison and the cocaine was found when the sergeants went to pick up the pallets of bananas.
In all 540 bundles were found. Officials said the cocaine was worth about $17,820,000.

  1. To go that big, they have done it before. Vendors for goods and services for the jails and prisons are the sources of the contraband that gets inside the walls.

  6. Chivis, I'm the same BB reader that sent you the link on El yeyo. I got a news alert from channel 2. I believe this shipment was direct from the source as Freeport has it's own port. Roughly an hour south of Houston. All the packages are identical. A quantity like this if it came from Mexico it would be different color wrappIngs. Just my 2 cents

  7. I know you can buy anything inside a prison, but how can you hide and move all that weight without at least 1 rat singing?

  12. Thanks Yaqui and to the anonymous tip about this article. I read the article, and I'm not sure if it was cocaine attempted to be smuggled to a group of inmates, or if this was just a crazy mix up somewhere with someone missing a lot of coke. Someone has to pay for that mistake. That's a whole lot of coke to come in at one time for the gangs who sell it. Kinda hard to keep that in your prison wallet. Possibly a guard was helping it go through, but I doubt it. The Sargent would have a hard time stashing that amount as well. This looks like an accident. The kind of accident I dream about. The prisoners are going to be bummed, especially the inmates who separate the "Dole Gold" when it arrives. I'm half Costa Rican. Don't "Dole" bananas come from Costa Rica? Damn, those bananas look good! 18 mil good!

  16. Its hard to figure this one . Seen some crazy shit but put this much dope in a single prison . Are they set up to distribute out of that prison ? Im gonna say they better be looking at prison staff . Maybe there was mix up and the wrong boxes ended up there . I know there is a little cash smuggled in but mostly the trade in prison involves paying with postage and things bought off the prison commissary . This much cocaine could lead to quite a stash of ramen noodles

    1. Yeah i agree. Prisoners would never be able to hide a stash like this, and nor would they want to honestly. I mean drugs are running rampant through prisons, but 17 million worth... It had to be headed for the streets.

    2. If this was intended for population at this prison , Im gonna say somebody better get a better marketing strategy . No way this was gonna sell at this prison . If it was me I would look at what this prison produces and where it goes . Im gonna say that there are vegies beef , pork or something produced here that ships to other prisons across the state . This shit was going across the state safely in prison vehicles .

  17. NOT TO BE SOLD IN THE PRISON,
or by the prisoners, this looks 100% like Warden Business, they sure can't live or get by from selling doritos for 3 dollars a small bag in the prison sto'.

    1. This gotta be high level corruption. That’s a lot of coca.

  19. According to some documentaries I've seen, the prices in prison would have probably been much higher than this regular street value still. Amazing amount for a prison though. And have the guards smuggle it in for you .... haha. That's pretty ballsy. Can't believe there were no officials involved with this though.

  24. When the story first broke out. They had the two prison guards standing next to the pallet. A checked back to see if there was anymore updates and the picture was taken down. Most likely out of fear and safety reasons...

  26. Chapo is not getting his supply this month

  27. The shipment was misguided and diverted the wrong way. It was not meant to go go the prison. Obvious and makes logical sense. Officers inspect kitchen equipment and supplies on a daily basis.

    ReplyDelete
  28. This shipment was not intended to go to any prison it was a unclaimed shipment and since it was perishable goods it was donated to the Texas prison system
