"Los Chapitos”: More Big Losses in Sinaloa, 26 Tons Plus

Translated by Yaqui for Borderland Beat from: AFN TJ
Surprise, surprise: More Labs or Manufacturing Facilities

The Secretariat of the Navy destroyed four clandestine narco-laboratories in the vicinity of Culiacán, Sinaloa and secured a shipping point in which 26 Tons of synthetic drug were secured, as well as 4,200  litres of drugs in liquid state, both with the characteristics of crystal meth.

They apparently  belonged to the faction of the Sinaloa Cartel  controlled by the sons of Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán Loera.

Chemical precursors, equipment and material used to prepare said drug were also seized; this action weakens the production and distribution infrastructure of the criminal groups operating in that region.
Note: See BB's Previous Posts on the others......

In recent weeks approximately 90 tons of synthetic drugs have been seized; seizures that significantly affect the financial and operational structure of the criminal groups that operate in this region of the country.  Likewise, with these actions, distribution is prevented, preventing these narcotics from reaching young people.

The Navy reported that the location of said narco-laboratories was derived from technical intelligence work, where it was learned that, in towns near Culiacán, there were places dedicated to the production of the synthetic drug.

In the  first deployment  the location of two narco-laboratories were secured and a shipping point in the northwest region of the aforementioned municipality, finding in its interior approximately 5 Tons and 4,200 liters of alleged synthetic drug known as crystal.

Subsequently, in the Cosalá Region, southeast of Culiacán, Sinaloa, two other narco-laboratories were located, with approximately 21 Tons of synthetic drug with crystal-like characteristics.

    1. 5:35. Smart observations and batches go bad or they could even be fake batches; meanwhile newer and more modern labs are replacing CDS’s old labs all the time. This is a gimme so Mexico looks like they’re hurting CDS b/c AMLO doesn’t want the same legacy the PAN party left after 12 years.

Bust a few or alot of their labs yet let the narcos live free or just plain live.

  15. I still contend that these are the low Tech pseudoephedrine cooks . I will be the first to admit I could be wrong . If it is the real P cook it has to be cooked at a temperature that can give off a heat signature that can be located by satellite . The P cook gives off a odor that is almost unique . The closest I can think of is desert sage brush . The advantage to being in the wilderness where it cant be smelled is lost by its heat . Don't get me wrong . I hate this shit . But that's my insight . I really think its not the real cook its the other . Ive yet to see vacuum pumps and triple necks in the photos . Besides sulfuric acid would dissolve all that metal they are using.

    1. Idk anything much about meth- but id love to know how mu h meth is consumed in the states per day/month etc- someone posted on another thread after a big bust, that the amount seized would only be able to supply LA for a few days- that surprised me- is there really that many people doing that shit?? I guess so- its only recently showed up in chicago, in recent years- makes me wonder if its cjng meth- because sinaloa kept meth out-

    2. Overworked workers use meth to be able to do their job, love starved biker chicks and their administrators love the cheap high and downs, they do not care about their teeth eithers.
US law enforcement drove production south of the border because subcontracting makes them powers that be more profit, even for the sackler family of opioid drug traffickers,

    3. R. Kelly . No way in hell LA could consume a ton in a couple days . I havent had any experience with it in decades but a gram a day habit is a decent size habit . There will be some doing more . Functional people aren't doing a gram a day . Just the hard burned people that don't hold a job and steal to get it and some dealers

  20. Marinas find more tons of dope, but what a surprise, not a single person arrested, nor a shootout, not even 3-4 borachos to stage with guns on them.

  22. Seems to me that there is a deal in place to stop the production of crystal meth and allow the trafficking of other drugs. In the alternative, maybe the deal is this: 1) cartels stop producing meth; and 2) they are allowed to legally enter the opium poppy business for "pharmaceutical" purposes. There's a lot more money to be made in pharmaceuticals than illegal drugs. There's just no way that all of a sudden meth lab after meth lab is getting hit in Sinaloa without some kind of pact with the government.

  23. It’s either a plan to take heat off of them Menores/Mayo or somebody big is snitching and EPN is desperate.

    ReplyDelete
  24. How much can these labs produce per day? If it’s tons, then no, it’s not a big hit. Although, I’m sure the pre-cursor is the most important part of the equation.

  25. Labs with the ability to produce large quantities of meth are nothing new. Look at what had been the largest lab seized a few years back. It was in Las Trancas, Municipio de Tamazula DGO. Arturo Beltran dropped the word on that lab in a narco manta to retaliate against Guzman. He had motive.

The Marines are the most trusted of all security forces in the ROM by the DEA. They get the info as the DEA does not trust the PGR, the Army, the State Police and/or the Municipal Police.

The workers in these jungle labs are poor people; just like the growers of crops. Only the chemist who train the supervising cooks are well paid. The labs are well off road. The lookouts notify the labs of approaching Marine vehicles. The cooks and the manual laborers disappear into the jungle before the Marines can even park. Who would stick around waiting for steel bracelets or flex cuffs?

Las Trancas was different. There was a landing strip for planes and lots of room to land choppers. The soldiers came in choppers to hit that location. The cartel learned from that mistake of lab accessibility by air.

Think about where the most violence is in Chinola right now: The Mcpo of Concordia. Who had their roots there? El Licenciado and El Mini Lic. They are both in the US with plenty of motive to help themselves. Mini Lic could have left Chinola with a GPS since he traveled to Mexicali with the intent to live, surrender and help himself.

There is either a transportaion problem in logistics or incentive to hold merchandise back to increase demand. Seizures of meth on the US side of the border are way up. So there is lots of the nasty stuff out there.

You guys with no jungle experience should endeavor to acquire some. Vietnam ground veterans know. Ask one!
