Autopsies and 4 identifications for 11 victims found in Juarez safe house

Chivis Martinez for Borderland Beat Material from El Diario

Meiby Oyuki, 19,  is "reportedly" one of the victims, she has a 3 yr old son.  Her husband was murdered 2 mos ago

This story has been difficult to report on.  “Facts” that appear from credible sources are wobbly. The following is a thread of reports from the same source over two days.  below are two reports from the same publication one day apart, different "facts'.

Ciudad Juárez- Forensic Medical Personnel finalized the autopsy reports of the 11 homicide victims located yesterday morning in a house on Oasis Street, in the Pradera de Los Oasis neighborhood, in the southwest section of the city of Juarez.

The autopsies of three of the women ruled out that they had been sexually violated.

The eleven died by strangulation and in no case were bullet impact wounds found, according to information from Semefo.
Another group of doctors are working on the autopsies of another 21 victims of intentional homicide yesterday and early today.

The families of;; Miriam Janeth López Contreras, 18; Cristhian Iván Hernández Ontiveros, 19; Carlos Iván Torres Sotelo, 21; Víctor Arturo Soto Calderón, 18; Marisol Terrones Mélendez, 22, and Ricardo Hernández Cardiel, 23, went to the Unit of Crimes against Life, to identify the corpses and claim the delivery of the bodies

Yesterday El Diario reported:

Among the 11 victims found this day brutally murdered inside a house in the Pradera de los Oasis neighborhood, there were two men aged 19 and 22 who were allegedly targets of the attack, according to personnel from the North Zone Prosecutor's Office.

Both were tattooed on various parts of the body that allegedly indicate they were members of the so-called "Vieja Guardia Azteca", one of two groups of the splintered Aztecas.

Apparently,  relatives of these two young people were among the victims.

Eight bodies were located on the second floor of the house and three more on the ground floor.  Nine of the bodies were reported as being innocents.  The three females tortured and raped.

Today some facts changed from above:

This multi-homicide crime is linked to a fight to control the sale of drugs in the city, according to preliminary information from the Northern District Attorney's Office.

Miriam Janeth Lopez Contreras
An investigating agent commented that they have managed to establish that most of the murdered were dedicated to the sale of 'crystal'.

It was also established that Ricardo Hernández Cardiel was the one who rented the property just a month ago and used it as a drug house where drug dealers gathered.

Hernández Cardiel was supposedly a leader of the 'Los Mexicles' gang and one of the targets of those who committed the multiple homicides, the investigator interviewed said.

The “Old guard” Aztecas, although were enemies in the past,  have allied with Mexicles, according to El Diario.  Yesterday they reported tats that indicated the some of the dead were Aztecas, today saying they indicated they were Mexicles.

Among the officially identified victims:  Miriam Janeth López Contreras, 18, Christian Iván Hernández Ontiveros, 19; Carlos Iván Torres Sotelo, 21, and Víctor Arturo Soto Calderón, 18 years old.

District Attorney Jorge Arnaldo Nava Lopez confirmed the four identifications.

A friend, who is an atty sent me a email explaining in greater depth about the sexual assault.

From Diario de Coahuila it was reported:

"Some of the bodies had a light bulb adapted for smoking crystal inserted into their bodies"

Initial investigators concluded the women were victims of sexual assault, although the medical examiner would later conclude they were not raped as defined under Mexican law.

In the U.S., any non-consensual penetration with anything is considered "sexual assault."

Later the publication removed the report regarding the meth pipe. It could be out of respect for the families.  However in a couple of the photos, there appeared to be something inserted in the body.  Supposedly two of the three females had the pipe inserted.

Meiby
Meiby wrote to her dead husband "baby I will always remember you and I will keep  you with me until the day that I have to leave and see you again my love♥"  02-08-96 05-28-18-posted on facebook August 1, 2018

Meiby and her husband, Jonathan Hernández Pérez, were barbers and planned to open their own business.  He taught her barbers skills. He was killed 2 mos before her.

Day one most all media said they were raped

    3. They were definitely raped. I saw the pictures on another site, only the women are tied up face down with their pants down to the knees.

    4. i saw the fotos...and probably that is why the first day they assumed they were raped. BUT the autopsies proved otherwise.

    5. PS the pants were not to the knees btw...they were pulled down just past the buttocks. so i don't think you saw fotos from these killings. I need to edit a foto then I will post.

However, the female i think is Meiby, does depict something having happened to her sexually. if not human perhaps by an object. But that is just my opinion.

that is why I said "supposedly" referring to the "autopsies".

    6. Maybe they were raped but attackers are paying or threating people to say otherwise... After all e bcc everyone likes to portrait themselves as the good guys killing the bad on ones

  2. I’m sure CDS is paying big money to keep this story going. I’m sure they are backing aztecas financially by now. Because this is a great opportunity to have them kill each other for cheap. And with large reward. If Juarez Cartel that is supposed to be the true boss of both of them had some brains they would remove the Linea capos that agreed to these attacks and make peace with both sets. Because they are intertwined with each other. This is easy hunting for both parties. They have each other’s information. And azteca neighborshoods are difficult to attack. Not only that. But any now if any Linea worker gets busted in the USA. Especially in Texas or New Mexico they will be easy targets. People won’t want to work for Linea. With those type of odds

    1. The Vieja Guardia Azteca probably joined forces with Mexicles after breaking off with La Linea. They broke off from La Linea because Linea has no respect for Aztecas. How do we know? Because Linea hired a Mexican born and raised Azteca to lead all Aztecas in Juarez skipping over Aztecas born in Texas to do the job.

    5. Thank you. I wanted to ask because of the conflicting reports, if she was an innocent that should be known. Hanging with bad people means nothing as to culpability. We don't know the circumstances. All I know she sure loved her little guy, although she questioned her role as a good mother. Little guy looks well cared for. Dressed sharpe, step up haircut, birthday celebration.

I don't know, until proven otherwise, I won't condemn her. It is good to get a feel of her from someone who knew her. The police were so sure she was an innocent, then the next day a new story.

As for the husband, of course tats only are meaningful if depict an affiliation. and his didn't

    7. Yeah chivis even tho I met Meiby, I still dont know the whole story of her death... I talked to some old friends there including my cousin and they are saying she was found dead elsewhere but she knew the people that got killed in this massacre... the whole story got even more complicated because this massacre somehow follows up the death of her husband and rival members from what I heard of. So after all these people were probably all involved including meiby... I dont live in Juarez but when I went there for vacation I would sometimes see her. My cousin would describe her a good friend even tho she would get into alot of drama. This past year they stopped talking because each went there seperate ways and I remember me, her, my cousin, and some other friends all went to downtown and had a really good time and lots of laughs and just doing some stupid shit which this was about 3 years ago i believe before she had her kid... time flies and many things happen

      Delete
    8. People say she was innocent, that it was her husband who was around the bad life, it was all him etc etc but Its easy to see why its assumed she was not innocent and she was involved, mostly because even if her husband is no longer around she was still there still around the people still taking the risk, the death of her husband didnt stopped her. Either way no woman, no young woman deserves this. i dont care what the autopsy says, if her pants are down against her willnits sexual asault, if they inserted an object in her its rape. May she rest in peace and my condolences to the real innocent victim, her son whos now without parents

  27. Under U.S. law and based on the same facts, a U.S. medical examiner or investigator would have concluded the women were victims of sexual assault, according to more detailed reports in Juarez media. The victims' pants were pulled down to expose their privates and there were light bulbs ("focos" according to some reports) inserted into their rectums. Maybe some of the men also suffered this indignity, but the reports are not clear. However, you can see from the attempts to censor the photographs of the two women's bodies that there was something there. I think this is what led initial investigators to conclude they had been raped.

Some reports also stated that the women's genitals had been pierced with sharp objects. Again, under Mexican law that would not be rape, but it would be classified as sexual assault in the U.S.

If these facts are true -- and the latest reports state that this is the case --, it is fair to say the women were the victims of sexual assault. According to statements by Juarez investigators, the light bulbs ("focos") in the rectum is intended to show that the victims were involved in dealing crystal/meth. I think this explains the discrepancy in the reports, even those from the same sources.

From Diario de Coahuila they reported:

"Some of the bodies had a light bulb adapted for smoking crystal inserted into their bodies"

Later the publication removed the report regarding the meth pipe. It could be out of respect for the families, or that it was not factual. However as I indicated in my comment above, I did see fotos in which something appeared inserted.

These people spacially those from Durango never liked the city and they began to throw trash and graffity the place up like never seen before among other crimes they committed.
