MEXICO CITY (APR) - An April 8, 2015 accusation from the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury ended Rosalinda González Valencia's peace of mind, who maintained her freedom through amparo protections.

The wife of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, "El Mencho,” knew that she was being pursued, and from 2015 to last February was "safe" with appeals for protection in which judges and prosecutors always resolved that "the demanded act (an arrest warrant), does not exist.” Thus, the dismissal of the guarantees of trial allowed her to remain calm, at least temporarily.

However, the wife of the leader of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG), was arrested last Sunday in Zapopan, Jalisco, by elements of the Secretary of the Navy, after she was targeted by OFAC.

Rosalinda and her daughter Jessica Johanna brought about at least half a dozen amparos in Zapopan, Jalisco, and in Mexico City.

Sister of "Los Cuinis" González Valencia, Rosalinda and her sisters-in-law were in charge of managing the business and managing the assets of the criminal organization, according to the US authorities.

Jessica Johanna and Rubén, children of Rosalinda and "El Mencho,” have advanced degrees in international business and both were in charge of transactions in other regions of America and Europe, and alleged money laundering. "El Menchito" is currently imprisoned in the Puente Grande maximum security prison.

Berenice, one of the sisters of "Los Cuinis,” who has not been arrested, serves as the financial operator of the cartel, infiltrating the business world and establishing alliances with people of Lebanese descent in Jalisco and Mexico City.

These women are known as the "Narcoempresarias,” and until now had been the untouchable part of the whole scheme, as despite being on the list of drug lords in the United States, none had been arrested. Only some of their many movable and immovable property had been identified and secured.

In addition to the González Valencia sisters, the United States Department of the Treasury listed Jennifer Beaney Camacho Cázares, wife of Abigael "El Cuini"; Wendy Dalaithy Amaral, wife of Gerardo "El Lalo" and other administrators, such as the Diana María and Silvia Romina Sánchez Carlón sisters, and María Elena Márquez Gallegos.

They operate real estate, tourism businesses, restaurants and various businesses in Jalisco, Michoacán, the State of Mexico and other parts of the country, as well as fighting for the cancellation of fines and taxes derived from their businesses and residences.

Of the González Valencia family, Abigael (Puerto Vallarta, 2015), Gerardo (Uruguay, 2016) and José Luis "El Chepa" (Brazil, 2017) are detained. Elvis González Valencia used to be in prison, but was freed, although there is already a new arrest warrant against him.

  1. Let’s just hope that charges stick. Too many loopholes these individuals use to avoid certain fate ( prison ).
Isn’t this the type of negligence that has been reported by B.B.. on Mexico’s part? No drug lord can exist / operate without the permission of those elite individuals ( government ). Moreover, avoid apprehension.
Capturing one individual and his associates will not stem the problem. Where Mexico’s government is so hard up for revenues generated by the drug trade. Apparently affecting their pockets by Menchos doings. It’s all a show!

    1. 10:04 "Officially" only the US subsidizes somebody, 2 or 3 billion USD a year for the Mexican government to fight the US fake assed War On Drugs with the only purpose of taking down unwanted competition and taking over Mexico by militarizing police operations, to keep competition and protesters down and quiet and out.
--Blaming all of Mexico alone is incompetent and one sided.

    3. I do see your point.
There is that probability that certain associations and activities by governments. However, this drug trafficking business with all the associated violence can be stemmed by Mexico’s Government.
Just like that of US government slapping fines and lenient prison sentences for those drug lords incarcerated here. Trust me; I see The iffy, Washy agreements by government here. Questioning the merit and the legitimacy of justice.
However, Mexico’s has its problem because they alone allowed it to happen. We on the other hand have soo much money to burn on narcotics than open a 401K.

  3. Well said E42! The justice system has no balls and should just go home and take a nap. They are all too corrupted to do anything right anyway, and this most certainly wont be anything different. Something major has to happen to change the game in Mexico.

  6. “They operate real estate, tourism businesses, restaurants and various businesses in Jalisco,” AND every other state.......try and get Jo Blow tourists and expats to believe that; it’s almost always the same : they don’t want to know or don’t believe it.
