The Gold Plated Arsenal of the Aztecas

The Municipal Police of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, secured  an arsenal of 42 long weapons, including a 50-gauge Barret rifle, as well as four AK 47s, ie  "goat horns" plated in gold belonging to Los Aztecas gang - the armed wing of La Linea over a week ago.


The authorities of the  border  city reported that during an operation two vehicles were found with weapons that were to be delivered to a group of  sicarios , ie hit men. 

The Municipal Public Security Secretariat said that this confiscation "significantly weakens the criminal structure of Los Aztecas, since those weapons were their property, and were to be used to commit homicides in different parts of Ciudad Juárez."
The Municipal Public Security Secretariat stressed that "this blow to organized crime was the result of research and intelligence work."


 A total of 42 long weapons, four small arms, 77 different-caliber loaders, 2, 749 useful rounds of different calibers, as well as tactical equipment inside two abandoned vehicles in Colonia  Loma  Linda were confiscated. 


"It was learned that in two old model compact vehicles would be transported a significant amount of firearms, which is why several covert operations were carried out,  they were located at the intersection of the Calle Isla Barbados  and  Calle Isla Tasmania , of the aforementioned Colonia, a grey 2003 Oldsmobile Alero, and a green 1994 Honda Accord which was reportedly on May 6, 2018. 

" The agents could see  inside both vehicles several backpacks and bags, protruding from one of them the tip of a long weapon known as Barrett, which is why they proceeded to make an inspection inside, locating a total of 42 long weapons and four handguns, chargers, useful cartridges and tactical equipment, " the corporation said in a statement. 


More than 30 units and about 80 police elements participated in the operation to protect the arsenal seized during its transfer to the PGR facilities.

Armaments secured: A Barret rifle 50 caliber BMG, 18 caliber 7.62 x 39 guns, two of them called "goat horns" bathed entirely in gold and two more with details in gold, ten .223 caliber weapons , four .308 caliber guns , two 12-gauge shotguns.

  2. This weapons catch was made just a few days before el 80's arrest and right after an Aztecas leader arrest conferming that the government is cracking down on La Linea and allowing CDS to enter the state.
    Only a matter of time before other Linea members or Aztecas are arrested and so CDS can move in to Juarez.

The facts are that your culture is especially greedy for gain and allow the cartels free reign to rape, steal and kill with impunity.

  7. Weapons idiot here. Doesn't the gold add a lot of weight to the AK-47, affecting its performance/reliability? Do these narcos actually use these guns or are they for show? Do gangsters in other cultures decorate and venerate firearms or is this a Mexican thing? And, once they obtain big guns like the Barrett rifle and grenade launchers, how do they get ammunition?

    3. 8:10 weapons don't get gold plated with tons of gold bricks including inside the barrel or other openings.
      Even powdered Gold Leaf would do a good enuff gold plate to a chamberpot.

Gun sellers should be tracked and the weapons should be bathed in the crap in their ass, but who plants a cache of weapons like this on the street for the cops? only the cops, no other perp in sight, same shot with meth trucks caught in Baja Californias, no individuals caught, getting to be an old story after anohther, street sweepers can out yellow tape around the crime scene, why have the "higly trained" melitary and poolice around?

  18. I've always wondered who is doing the work on these cuernos and 1911's for them bc they've def got some skill. The plating and engraving i've seen is usually nice quality.
