The PGR secured a narco tunnel secured this Sunday in Mexicali, Baja California, used to transit drugs to the city of Calexico, California, in the United States

Elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the PGR, completed a search warrant of the property, located in Callejon Aguascalientes, in the Santa Clara Colonia, where military and municipal police found the excavation.

According to the authorities, the excavation had a length of approximately 400 meters, and has rails, lights and a ventilation system.

The place was secured by the Public Ministry of the Federation in Baja California, who are continuing with the case investigation. On Sunday the military and police arrested Jorge Luis N, Enedino N, and Jose Antonio N, who carried drug packages from a dump truck outside the building.

The detainees said that inside the house, marked with the number 2261, was an excavation they used to introduce synthetic drugs to the United States. In addition, they secured an AK47 assault rifle and 400 grams of a synthetic drug, which were made available to the Public Prosecutors along with the 3 detainees.

  9. about time Borderland reported on Mexicali. A lot has gone down after Chapo's arrest. Ya'll should pay more close attention to this border. Also across the border in Calexico Rabobank closed branches two years ago, and was recently fined in relation to mishandling of anti money laundering policies (BSA). That was another great report missing here.
