El Peque arrested, the principal provider of precursor chemicals for CJNG

Translated by Otis B Fly-Wheel for Borderland Beat from a Proceso article

Subject Matter: CJNG, Javier Valle Brawnt, El Peque
Recommendation: No prior subject matter knowledge required

The Federal government has detained Javier Valle Brawnt, "El Peque", considered the principal provider of precursor chemicals to the criminal organization denominated Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion, with an operational zone of the states of Colima, Jalisco, Nuevo Leon, San Luis Potosi and Sinaloa.

Reporter: Patricia Davila
The PGR has released information that today they detained the man in charge of coordination of the importation of chemical substances from China, from the port of Manzanillo, Colima, from where they sent to laboratories on trucks and trailers.

In these states, the drugs are processed to obtain the precursor chemicals that are used by clandestine laboratories, to produce synthetic drugs like methamphetamine. Javier Valle Brawnt worked directly under the orders of Abraham and Antonio Oseguera Cervantes, brothers of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, "El Mencho", considered the leader of the CJNG.

According to the PGR, during his capture they confiscated a pistol, a kilogram and 300 dosis of a substance with the characteristics of the drug known as crystal, ready for sale. The detention was achieved through the PGR's Criminal Investigation Agency, in coordination with Secretary of the Marina of Mexico (SEMAR), informed the Federal agency.

The order of detention was granted thanks to a search warrant by judicial authority, for the personnel of the AIC and SEMAR, who entered a building located in the city of Guadalajara, where they confiscated arms, ammunition and substances with the characteristics of the drug know as crystal.

The detained, together with the confiscated items, were put at the disposition of the Public Ministry of the Federation to determine their judicial situation.

    1. I have explained this a few times so here goes again.
      1) Teams of sicarios can be hired out to the highest bidder and one week can be working for one cartel and the next week another. They are based in a state to protect loads moving through, on which piso has been paid.
      2) All big cartels have some presence in every state between where there drugs are ready to shipment, to the border through which they are smuggling it.
      3) Agencies like the DEA ICE FBI and the like, will always have a lot more information to hand than anyone here that reads or comments on these articles, bar people like Steve Duncan.
      4) A lot of people think themselves experts on the drug trade, they are not. The only information that cartels release it what they want you to know.

    6. In the end, it's all about the money. So long as the major controllers of an area get their piso they don't care if you move stuff through there, "rival" organization or not. I wouldn't be surprised if he coordinated shipments for other groups as well.

    7. There alot cartels. But there also indepent narcos that want to be independent to be able to do a deals or hire members of different cartels. U could be a independent low key narco leaving in sinaloa doing business with CJNG and Arellano cartel. There a few that even go Z territory pay piso and work on their croosing poits.

    8. Otis, i respect you bro, but till this article i haven't read anywhere that CJNG has presence in Sinaloa. Regarding DEA, ICE, FBI, i agree but let's not forget that this is not coming from one of those agencies but from a newspaper. I've read pretty often truncated news coming from newspapers or not so well informed reporters. I am not a typical sinaloa guy, i'm one of a kind. :D

    10. 1:04 Look pendejo, cjng and cds were once working together. You think cjng stopped having influence in Sinaloa just because they are at war? You have no common sense what so ever. Yes, you are a typical sinaloa groupie

    13. You know what's funny? There are people calling me typical sinaloa guy and they are typical CJNG nuthuggers. LOL. @5:10 Cabron, listen, CJNG was one of the armed wings of CDS. Back then they were called "matazetas". They were not partners like Chapo and Mayo, they were employed by CDS to do the killings, like Gente Nueva. They had no influence in Sinaloa. From what i know they were operating from out of Sinaloa. Correct me if i'm wrong.

      Delete
    14. yea i doubt it if cjng was operating it was most likely in mazatlan where its open and alot of tourist but if cds found out there would of been blood shed thats why that dosent make sense unless cjng was working with cds ? either way there all going down. give the pueblos weapons and let them take back whats theres mexico needs another revolution

    16. Cartel memebers are not complete mercenaries that hire themselves to the highest bidder frequently. Most are loyal to the cartel they belong to and might take more than a simple payraise to jump ship concidering their very lives depend on who they choose to follow.
One or two sicarios might jump ship more often but to get a whole crew of them to do so plus their leader of course requieres a whole lot more pay plus the politics of the new group they will be tempeted to join plays a factor as well as well as their reputation to a certain extent. All this makes sicarios and others within cartels not as easy to bribe as some might think.

Will never visit Mexico in my remaining lifetime. It’s been 15 years and not looking forward to it.
Moreover, reconsidering giving my father in law my ATV for him to use on ranch fur to someone hurting him for it. Such a shame.

  6. Is this a temporary fix? Could the government be acting, in show of force, since elections are around the corner. Perhaps they know, what it feels like when CJNG goes cutting heads of PGR, babies, nuns, horses.

  7. El Peque, Menchos wife and even el Abuelo all from CJNG arrested within days of each other and no arrest of RCQ or Mayo Zambada! Who the fuck are authorities anywhere trying to fool as far as cracking down on cartels???
Only ONE cartel ij all of Mexico will be left like I, had stated before once courtesy of U.S. drug policy for Latin America regardless of what non believers have to say. The proof is in right here!!!

    4. what you said is true, it has been said since the beggining of the drug war. Eliminate all other Cartels and just let one dominate, that way the country is peaceful yet drugs still flow and law enforcement (DEA) still have a job, You gotta take them down to show you do progress but not take them all down because then youll have no work left, no work no money.
my theory is that Sinaloa is the one the government wants to keep, they been key players they have influence, power and alot of experience however its not Sinaloa as a whole, not everyone in CDS would benefit. Most assumed chapo was the one that would remain afterall he had so much power and then CJNG seemed to be the ones, they had all these paramilitary tactics and where allowed to grow so fast but then again its about bussiness no longer about war and mencho got too much attention hes being loud and every loudmouth has fallen, la tuta with his videos, zetas terrorising the citizens, arellanos using american gangsters to do their crimes all over mexico and even chapo not respecting agreements and invading other plazas. The one that was supposed to be left was the smart one that has kept quiet and solves his issues with agreements rather than bullets and thats Mayo, he tried stopping the feud between chapo and arellano but chapo would not make peace, he did manage to avoid a bigger conflict between mencho and guzman. The DEA even made deals with him they gave him guns and whatever he wanted and in return he gave them their wanted suspects, but Vicente wasnt like his dad he wasnt a quiet one he formed los antrax and with chapos men sent them to war and now hes locked up. This tactic is now considered a failure even if it seems like its still going on. the government did not think ahead and did not expect that removing the main heads will lead to infighting, i assume they believed that old traditions would continue and someone else would just step up hoping new leaders would be more peaceful and mission complete but instead everyone started fighting for control and got out of hand. i dont know what in the world where they thinking, that either these leaderless cartels would get a new leader that wont be so violent? or that once a leader is arrested his men will just give up a multimillion dollar industry and go home to a poor ass rancho

  13. The big mystery is why EUA has remained silent about China and chemicals of precursor. At any one time there are 10 ships of the navy patrolling the seas off of the coast. Not one word of comment from the gringos. No vengazas to board and search. Big crisis up there. Eh?
