Italy extradites Mexican Governor to the U.S. accuses Mx of systematic human rights violations

Mexico denied extradition  because of systematic human rights violations

Former Tamaulipas, Mexico governor, Tomás Yarrington, has been extradited to the United States from Italy.  This comes on the heels of Italy denying Yarrington’s request to stay in Italy and avoid extradition to Mexico or the U.S.

Yarrington’s attorney’s has argued that extraction of their client to Mexico would place him in harm’s way. The man, 60 years, was hiding in Paola Italy for at least 6 years, where he lived incognito, posing as an entrepreneur. Yarrington was arrested last year in Southern Italy.  He had been a fugitive since 2012.

Yarrington was the governor between the years of  1999 and 2005, representing the PRI Party.

In 2012, a Mexican federal judge issued two warrants for his arrest on charges of organized crime and drug-trafficking.

In 2013 he was indicted in Texas for racketeering, money laundering and fraud charges.

Yarrington was a equal opportunity colluder, having ties with both Zetas and CDG cartels while being on the payroll of both and receiving large payoffs.

On April 11th Italy’s Supreme Court denied Mexico’s request to extradite the former governor, citing inadequate conditions in Mexico’s prisons because of Mexico’s systematic human rights violation. "Yarrington is already traveling to the United States," explained Stefano Opilio, the head of the international cooperation office of the Italian Ministry of Justice. The extradition decree was signed yesterday.

Escorted by police officers from the Italian border police and the judiciary,  this morning at dawn he was handed over to US Marshals, then he was transferred on board a direct flight on a  KLM airliner to Houston via Amsterdam.

    2. I'm sorry, but aren't you contradicting yourself. You specifically mention the two governors and say they are walking free, but they have been arreated. So no this is not one of the best coments, just one the more confusing.

Fat ass Duarte who looks gay for EPN in fotos (not to degrade gay people) is locked up and should be sent staight to hell. And the Moreia should be locked up again. So a little progress is better than none. And... If. This guy talks the dominoes that lead to the top could fall. Lets see. T. Montana

  9. YOU are exactly right and those doing the leg word get paid peanuts. Those collecting the BIG bucks are politicians, military and police commanders high up in rhe food chain. That is where the bulk of the billuons end up.

The operatives getting doing the leg work pay 'right to operate' (pizo) to the corrupt behind their desks.

    2. Because being nice to the US is very important, and the US has a lot of juice to squeeze from Yarrington, money, information on US and mexican crooks that need to get put in their place like yarrington's compadre Governor of Tejas and all his crew and EPN who needs like one trillion dollars to pay for a Wall, A Wall Street deposit, there are a lot of Commi$$$ions there like in Mexican government projects, they even say:
"que haiga Obra, pá que sobre"
And there is nobody hungrier for profits than the present US government that doesn't care about the half a million dollars a year salary, but abut all the profits than can be made from a presidency for sale and for profit, just make sure it is all offshored in somebody else's name, away from the greedy US treasury and the IRS...
By the way have you filed your taxes?

  11. Why Italy, he could of stayed in Switzerland and not worry of extradition ?

A lot of Mexican politicians have retired in Europe.

Even these rich Mexican families for many years have sent off their children to study and work in many parts of the world such as US, Canada, UK, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherland, Switzerland, Austria.

Para mi que alguien le puso el dedo a este vato. De todos los politicos de Tamaulipas este vato tuvo buenas relationes con los gulfos/zetas.

  17. It's good that they sent him to the USA where he will get true justice. Look how close he and Pena appear in the picture, Pena would probably pardon him or have him released like Caro Quintero was released.

    1. The US is probably where a bit of justice can be met. The lower house of Mexico’s government recently passed a bill allowing the prosecution of all political members including the president for crimes. Where impunity cannot be applied.
A surprisingly overwhelming support which is long overdue.

  19. Duarte's theft and corruption is estimated to be in the billions. Its just incredible to me how one politician with a pen can steal as much money as an entire drug cartel organization with thousands of armed soldiers can make. Duarte was a one man cartel in terms of generating money.

But it's not just Mexico, and it's not just drug related. I've read some articles that estimate Putin's wealth at around 200 billion dollars from theft and corruption. Someone has to keep those oil fields in Syria pumping.

Now wonder what will happen to the properties and money of La Chaky Elba Esther Gordillo, and the real estate owned by Murat and Miguel angel yunes linares? And what about El Huichol Ricardo Anaya PAN candidate? Ricardo Pierdant? That EPN compadre, gives free rent apartments to la gaviota in Florida.

    4. @10:33, I'll try to explain the situation using this governor as an example, but the followong applies to all countries with or without extradition treaties among themselves (though a treaty makes things easier). When a citizen of another country is directly involved in a crime in the US he can be indicted (in this case racketeering IN the US, fraud IN the US, and money laundering IN the US, though it could be for any crime in the US). The US can then ask for extradition from the government he is held by (in this case Italy, though they can refuse to extradite for a number of reasons). Now in this case the US and Mexico are both asking the Italians for him. Since all three countries have agreed to extradition treaties, Italy must decide who gets him. Italy choose the US because they believe he will given a fairer trial then if in Mexico.

America is not trying to convict him for crimes in Mexico.

      Delete
  21. Oh yeah!!! Thank you Italy!!! You are not like those dirty folks from Spain who will not extradite other governors of Mexico that stole money from the Mexican people.

  23. Is this some of the so called "white collar crime ? You would think they would get big sentences butt ... You know a few years back Bank Of America was caught launder so much money for the cartel that it equaled the gross domestic product of mexico . For those of us that may not understand what that means is , It was equivalent to all of mexico reported production and income for a year . That's the value of every product (reported legitimate) mexico produced in a year . Now these banker should qualify for the death penalty based on my analysis . How many people died from cartel drugs that they assisted ?

    1. All the banks fines, some in the 600 million dollars, do not amount to a pile of beans fine, they are about 1% of what is their money laundered...

  25. Google: Biggest fines paid by banks for money laundering
    And pig out,
But some non banking entities have paid big fines for money laundering too, like the Taj Mahal,
Others like enterprises like casinos, hotels, resorts, apartme t complexes are suspected of money laundering activities for more than 20 years, I suspect "friendly corrupt relationships" and political contributions to BOTH political parties have kept the dogs away just like in the case of pederasta and child trafficker Jeffrey Epsteins of the famed Lolita Express and slave love prisoner island, shaking down the customers can still make you a billionaire or a master puppeteer of the most powerful men on earth.
