Assassination of Chihuahua Special Police Chief caught on video

By Chivis Martinez

Two armed assassins entered a restaurant and  killed officer Edgar Pérez de la Peña, 38,  who was thehead of the Municipal Police Special Operations, under the command of the State Police.

The events were recorded on video, Friday afternoon at the La Mariscada de Richie, located on Avenida Aldama, where he was attacked as he was dining with his family.

The shooting took place in the city of Cuauhtémoc, one of the most violent cities in Chihuahua, where cartels continue to fight over drug trafficking routes to the northern border.

The two gunmen can be seen entering the restaurant, acting very suspicious from the onset.   They grabbed a menu, and sat themselves in the table directly adjacent to the victim.   Oddly, the victim sat with his back to the door, rather than in direct view of the entry, to survey who enters and their actions.

Who are they trying to kid blaming Gente de el Tigre if they themselves back them up???

  7. Sadly some cops in Mexico do try and do good but end up dead like this regardless. Plata o Plomo.
Now many are going to be quick to say this dead cop here in this story probably was involved with cartels or some shit but this might not be the case.
It is just so easy to kill cops and people for whatever the reason/s might be in Mexico that it is being looked at as pointless to really pursue criminals there and these are the outcomes. More and more dead cops, people, women, men even children-innocent or not.

casi todos, "solo un se escapó porque endaba en colombia", pero todos sus comandante que empezaron con garcia luna Y LE SABIAN TODO, QUE ES DEMASIADO, muertos para limpiar el record.
      Borrón y cuenta nueva.
no special pretty boy "Special Chief" checking on chihuahua State Police, don't mess with the Fuerza Delictiva.
I hope he left records, must have been getting too close to somebody.
Policia Estatal used to run the Death Houses of Cd Juarez, they are infested with ceiminals.

    2. A fucken 32 year old comandante more than likely was not invloved in the "houses of death in Juarez" which where found over ten years ago. This kid would have been 22 or younger when the houses of death first began taking place. Too inmature to be any fuckin top police dog. Same with many other younger cops being killed. So other reasons might be at hand also for their killings.

  11. That's sad as hell. Just like that your life is over. All the life lived and the life ahead to live and just like that finished. They did nothing to hide their identity. That's how lawless Mexico is. I'm sure they will next go north and come across the border. I often wonder how many of the shady hardened looking illegals we see on a daily basis are of this type of background. Not being anti immigrant or political, but The area I live in has seen a drastic demographic shift and it's low life low class the element pouring in. Some really look like they are up to no good.

  13. Would it really have mattered in which direction the police Chief was facing in the restaurant, the only difference being that facing the door he would have seen his death unfolding?

    1. We will never know, right? he had a weapon, one move towards him and the ending would of or could have been different. these chumps were low life sciario wanna be, this was no expert hit. When I first landed in Mexico I was told to get a table by the kitchen or back door and never have my back to the front door. Most sciarios don't wander in, they are dropped off in front and rush in. This happened at two of my regular restaurants. I was not there but could have been.

    2. Exactly Chivis. In law enforcement we are taught to sit facing the main entrance and near the secondary exit or emergency exit whether you are in uniform or not.In Mexico I would assume your seat arrangement would be even more tactical than it is in the US because of the constant danger. Eventhough I am no longer in law enforcement I still practice the same tactics when I am with my family. This officer made the hit too easy for these cowards.

    3. @ chivis I'm not going to get to much into detail because I'm sure the American government is able to track down the IP address if they needed to. My cousin was a good at this I talked to him a bit over the phone and he said this. here is a bit of info of what a real professional is. Send 2 or 3 to kill the person intended regardless of where he is sitting. First one with a revolver to hit him on
The head . the other 2 to spray him after with aks and to leave a grenade just to make sure. He got lucky they didn't leave a grenade after just to make sure he was death.usually in michoacan they send 3 just in case one fails the other 2 could finish. Saludos de zamora michoacan

    4. @1:54 Exactly, everything comes into play. Even the eatery is selected carefully. I always quietly learned where the secondary exit was in a given eatery, and usually there is one in the kitchen. So if an exit was not visible I ask to sit by the kitchen. Then a friend, a famous tV chef in Mexico, told me kitchen help are spooked, as narcos also use the exit to enter, so they often lock the door. He then said "but the key is usually in the lock.

Something I have to take his word for

    5. 10:39 the tactics you speak of is not very smart for sicarios to use in a crowded public place. Actually its best to be used when a hit is conducted with the mark alone in a vehicle. A variation of the type of hit your cousin spoke to you about is to substitute a Molotov cocktail for the grenade. Instead of blowng them up you end up burning them up along with any evidence you leave behind. Head shot, spray the vehicle with the cuerno de chivo and then finish him off with the molotov. Ciao!!

    6. Chivis. What were you doing in Cuauhtémoc? That in the middle of nowhere. Are you really risking your life for the blog?

    7. 12:53 I have been to Chih many of times, and visited countless of places in the middle of nowhere, working for our family foundation. But I have never been to Cuauhtémoc. What is your interest? I see you have sent 7 of the same question

  14. They were definitely rookies. Why waste your time to sit down just to runout? Walk in pop him and then walk out. Not only do you give people the opportunity to see your face but then you leave your fingerprints also. They definitely learned their skill in Sinaloa.

  18. Boy got caught sleepin, thats a bid no no in the game , had his back turned to the entrance of a Marisquería of all types of restaurants. Everybody knows those type of restaurants are a favorite to narcos and their cheerleaders specially if alchohol and banda is around. I remember back in the days judiciales even looked and acted more narco than the narcos themselves.

  20. No low level Chivis, this hit was planned and carried because the special chief jefe de grupo was stepping on some toes, and his brothers at the police department will not give a flying fack about his murder, but some of them know why it happened.
The chief looks kind of young and inexperienced, he was not to be out in public, by himself, without escorts, his back to the door, a total rosary of errors. RIP

  24. Is it weird that the female did not hint or react hysterically as a normal person would once he got shot. It's common for females to lure these high acting officials to their deaths. Just my thoughts and observations. Be Safe!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Isn't the waiter in that video in serious trouble now?
The police now know the waiter had an excellent view of the killers' faces and the police will intensely pressure the waiter for good face sketch details.
If the waiter cooperates with police, however, the sicarios will likely get angry and want to kill the waiter!
Agreed the hit was amateur because it puts the waiter in harm's way, too.

  26. Oh my goodness...and i thought Violence in Brasil was bad. Thats a no law country and corruption everywhere. I think most of the good people in Mexico cant do anything because some of their relatives are probably involved with cartels in some way(brides). I would like to know how many of these crimes are at least investigated. Thats a shame!!!
