Puebla: Fuel theft gang leader killed while in surgery to change appearance

Chivis Martinez for Borderland Beat material from El Manana

The huachicolero (fuel theft) leader Jesús Martínez Miron alias El Kalimba was attempting to alter his fingerprints and facial identity, through surgeries at the EPMAC Clinic, when he was shot to death last Monday.

This was revealed by the Puebla Attorney General who, in addition, confirmed that the motive was a settling of accounts within his criminal group, which is dedicated to fuel theft.

He and three others, two men and a woman, were gunned down at the EPMAC clinic in the Colonia Lomas 5 de Mayo in Puebla capital.

Puebla has been embroiled in violence as gangs clash over fuel.  16 people were killed in last week in fuel theft gang disputes.

The A.G.  also indicated that one of the alleged perpetrators, in the execution of El Kalimba,  is El Irving, who was involved in the killing of five people in Tlaltenago, including Alfredo El Cuino, owner of the site.  The vacant lot served as a fuel theft base,  where authorities discovered hoses, valves, connections and pumps, used for clandestine taps and fuel theft.

'El Kalimba' was 27 years old, but he is already famous in the “Triángulo Rojo” for being a bloodthirsty huachicolero who financed the campaign of his uncle Martín Mirón López for the municipal presidency.

Diario Cambio reported in September that his entire family, including his in-laws were in El Kalimba’s criminal organization structure.

  6. This guy got whacked by the CJNG, CJNG has been fighting for a while the plazas of Puebla, Hidalgo and Guanajuato against independent cells that are dedicated to fuel theft, train robbery, kidnapping, etc.

Last month in Guanajuato they confiscated a drone with explosives wrapped around the drone, there's a rumor that CJNG was going to detonate those explosives in "El Marros" ass in Guanajuato.

For the people that doesn't know who is "El Marro" well his the leader of an independent cell name "Cartel De Santa Rosa De Limon" dedicated to oil theft, robbery's and kidnappings in the state of Guanajuato. And the CJNG has been fighting this douch bags in Guanajuato also other independent cells in Puebla and Hidalgo seems that the CJNG wants the "Triángulo Rojo" so bad and I think the CJNG will control those three plazas un a matter of time. At least the CJNG has drugs to flow thru those 3 plazas instead of stealing and kidnapping like those independent oil theft cells operating in those three plazas.

    1. 2:12 on all the states, stealing from pemex helps bring down the paraestatal, that brings down the price of stealing it, meanwhile the politicos make a lot of money, but the new owners may be trying to exterminate the huachicoleros, 20 peisos per head and all the bullets the death squads need, because they use death squads, right?
and then again, the huachicol may be worthless, the lessons being taught "the mexicans" are invaluable, they will learn to respect private property, or else...

  12. Agree!
But apparently enough for plastic surgery.
Fuel theft is a lucrative business from what reports indicate.
Revenues from such can fetch a pretty penny.
Costing millions of dollars each year to the Mexican government.
Nevertheless, a low life like many posted here on BB.

  14. 5:20 you try and tap gasoline or gas pipes, and find out who is stupid, then you could try and get your pipe tanker to the tap and fill the damn pipa, then run away and sell it on the street litro por litro, just to get cogido by your own peers in the police or murdered or persecuted by your own patron jefe huachicolero.
