CDS: Internal War Continues; Los Chapitos vs Los Damasos and Company

Translated by Yaqui for Borderland Beat from Debate

Damaso Lopez Serrano, aka "El Mini Lic"
July, 2017

Last week Dámaso López Núñez Serrano, better known as "El Mini Lic" was handed over to US authorities, and yesterday ; Nahúm Sicarios alias, "El Quinceañero", was captured, the financial operator of the first, these facts indicate a marked  blow to organized crime, but José Reveles, an expert on issues of organized crime and drug trafficking and author of several books on the subject, says in an interview given to the Broken Chair, said that the violence will not end .

The expert said that the captures of the main leaderships of drug cartels in Mexico such as Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán and Dámaso López "El Licenciado" will have little impact on the decrease in violence and insecurity. "Authorities believe that the capturing weakens criminal groups, but this is not true, the logic indicates that if they do not take away economic resources, goods and weapons, they will continue to hire all the killers who will work for them. " Jose Reveles explained.

"Los Chapitos "
Jose Reveles says that "success is relative, in the delivery or agreement of ''El Mini Lic'' and in the capture of ''Quinceañero'' does not appear any money anywhere, no goods appear, and therefore these people remain strong "The successors, the compadres, the friends, are still present, is the system by which the criminal groups are prolonged in time, they are either compact or dividing as in the case of the Sinaloa Cartel."

THE FIGHT FOR POWER

"El Mini Lic" and his group of assassins held a bloody fight with the sons of his godfather Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman Loera, in order to seize the part of the Sinaloa Cartel that was left without leader by the capture and Extradition to the United States of "El Chapo". Reveles said that members of the cells known as "The Anthrax", "The Montana" and "The Special Forces of Damasos", will be the ones who will fight for control of the groups and will seek an alliance with a strong cartel to face "Los Chapitos ", (Iván, Alfredo and Ovidio Guzmán, sons of the capo Joaquin"El Chapo"Guzmán), and that could be with the New Generation Jalisco Cartel.

"Los Chimales" and "Los Ninis" are the assassins of "Los Chapitos" who face the armed groups of Dámaso López Núñez "El Mini Lic". The expert agrees that the kidnapping of "Los Chapitos" at the "La Leche" restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, will prevent anyone taking the leadership of the "Mini Lic" cells to make an alliance with the "El Chapo's" sons and the Sinaloa Cartel.

"That paints a panorama of complication, that will not stop, names will appear that we do not know, those who are further down, that in the organization, ie, names we have yet to hear," he explained. In social networks, "The Mini Lic" exhibited money, luxury cars and eccentricities, which will be cherished by the assassins who escorted him and try to seize the empty throne.

The day the  authorities  knocked on the door.  Dámaso López Nunez's wife asked who they were. They identified themselves, they said they were bringing a search warrant. She opened it  and then let them into carry out the search.

The day they arrived to capture him in the luxurious apartment in the area of Polanco district of Mexico City where he was living with his wife, "El Licenciado" went into the bathroom and threw his two cell phones into the toilet.

The elite elements of the Army and the Criminal Investigation Agency of the PGR asked for the phones and passwords to access the information contained in them. "El Licenciado", former compadre of "El Chapo" Guzman, is one of the men who fought to stay in control of the Sinaloa Cartel after "El Chapo" was extradited to the US, refused to do so, and asked for a few minutes to say goodbye to his wife and then cried.

According to witnesses of these events, it was not the last time they saw "El Licenciado" in tears. From the apartment of Polanco he was transferred to the facilities of the Office of Specialized Investigation of Organized Delinquency (Seido), and there he cried again.

He was emotionally depressed, but also very clear of what strategy to follow. It seemed - I was told by witnesses that he said: " I knew I was going to fall one day and thought carefully what to do and what to say".

He talked of "El Chapo", his compadre, with whose sons, known as "Los Chapitos" or "Los Menores", held a bloody dispute over the domination of the cartel. He was sure that Joaquín Guzmán Loera had not spoken ill of him. "The scolding is with their children," he told them.  Indeed, "El Chapo" never spoke ill of Dámaso López Núñez.

"El Mini Lic"

The authorities, they assured me, did not accept. They told him that it was convenient for him to tell them where his son was, because if not, the sons  of "El Chapo" would find him and kill him.

There was no deal. "El Licenciado" warned them that he would save the information to reach an agreement with the United States government, certain that he would be extradited.

Then came the key part of their conversation. Dámaso López Núñez offered to the authorities to "give up" the children of "El Chapo" Guzman in exchange for not touching his own son, "The Mini Lic".

After a brief stay in Mexicali, Dámaso López Serrano, "The Mini Lic,"surrendered to US authorities at the US Border Facilities at Calexico, Ca, where DEA agents quietly whisked him away surrendered to US authorities.

You can easily figure out what follows. The strategy had been outlined by the father.

  3. el lic and mini lic got greedy and over played their hand..there is good evidence that el lic started this whole war once he knew el chapo wasnt coming back to mexico..blaming the chapitos for breaking truces was a lie from the start and he only made it up to have a reason to start attacking the cells in the chapitos territory and operating areas...but the cherry on top was the ambush that nearly killed el mayo and the chapitos..what the public doesnt know is that all three lost close bodyguards and el mayo even lost a strong ally and big drug dealer from Sonora named el delfin.. and before that el mayo and el lic were not really at odds..pretty much neutral..they did have a few cells fighting each other but thats a normal thing for a drug capo in mexico to have a few cells fighting against an allies cell in the same existing area or areas..but anyway after the ambush el mayo stripped most if not all of el lics political connections on every level as well as el lics connects to law enforcement and military at every level...el lic and el mini lic knew once they heard that el mayo and the chapitos escaped that they were screwed and if you notice not too long after that failed ambush el lic was caught with nobody around him but his wife..sure they caught his only bodyguard a day before but nothing like el chapo having the 30 men around him when he was last caught..el lic had nobody and it was for a reason..and sure enough he was caught...then once his son el mini lic turns himself in we find out he had been on the run and hiding out the past 4 or 5 weeks and supposedly he was running and hiding for his life...so that also shows that his people had left him..the father and son made a play and it was just too much and it turned out for the worst for both of them...fighting the chapitos is one thing but trying to kill the old king el mayo is a whole other ball game and el lic paid the price...you can even see now how the chapitos are actaully still able to run their fathers faction of the cartel..true they have money and i also think they both are fairly bright individuals..but having the backing of el mayo carries it weight in gold and thats whats really keeps the chapitos in the game..they too have all the connections that el mayo have just because they are under his wing..el lic and mini lic enjoyed those connections until they started a war and tried to take out the heads of the major factions of their own cartel..not smart..and if you mess with el mayo you have to kill him or you wont last..

    1. With exception of chapo the biggest snitch in cartel history and mayo's son el vicentillo

    2. 2nd generation narcos are soft?
They just do things differently for example, they rather give orders instead of doing things themselves.. While 1rst generation capos was the other way around, hence they had less resources when they started their drug traficking organizations, plus they also had to build their "reputation" something the narco juniors don't really care about because they don't need it...

      Delete
    3. 7:57 yes second generation are soft but only those who didnt do time in the trenches doing the dirty, nasty and dangerous work.

The ones who didnt get parachuted to the top, the ones who had their noses to the grinder and worked their way up, those are not soft, they have the street cred which in that world is criticly important.

Btw. I am not pro narcos, just stating the obvious.

      Delete
    4. Some how that is not exactly the case, you would think they are soft just because they live in mansions, with million dollar cars in it since day one... But you forgot the other important part which is where they came from..

  8. Idk why they keep putting The Antrax are Damasos people.
Antrax are Zambadas people, El Niño was the one that started them. Fenix just died for Mayito the past year

  9. La Zeta news is drunk, The Antrax are not lead by Los Damaso. That's Mayo zambadas armed group

    ReplyDelete
  10. Can you guys explain why you guys believe Damaso controls Los Antrax. The rumor that's damaso was the leader of the Antrax at one time is also fake. Idk why people are so confused

  11. That's the reason many cells from cds are switching to cjng. Cds has lack if leadership and not to mention how cds guys were getting wacked by cjng. Mayo even called a truce in la paz with Mencho but his people seen how mayo's weakness already. I doubt most cds cells would want to work with less experienced chapitos who keep making dumb mistakes.

    1. Less experienced?? Again, do you know who these kids are? Chapitos, and Mayitos have been at the game their whole lives...Mayo's kids are locked up safe...Chapo's kids have been smacked back in line, and have Mayo's full backing.. Vicentillo out in 18 mos...let the tweakers fuck everything up, and CDS streamlined, and young hungry capos with the best political backing in the game. Mencho, and Zetas/Golfos keep killing locals and now shooting up tourist spots will go down..Tweaks are too short lived to last....You all will see. US is gearing up to start patrolling the Pacific Coast harder...They gotta get more seizures to pay for WW3 soon to come.

    2. I agree with 7:15 chapitos don't have respect in the game. When vicentillo gets out he will want to take over cds and more beef, those guys can't keep it together after daddy chapo got locked up

      Delete
    3. There's no beef between Vicentillo or any of Mayo's people and Chapitos. Ivan is not dumb...he like all young guys with money and power get drunk on it...the smart ones learn, and move on...I'm sure Chapo made sure Mayo put them in line before being extradited. Vicentillo is very respected by the Jr's...he's a little older, but still in their demographic...he obviously didn't snitch as much as most on here say, or all of the Jr's would be locked up or dead...Anyone who says CDS is done, don't count em out yet...as long as Mayo alive and free, everyone else is playing for silver or bronze..Mayo is the Michael Phelps of Jefes.

    4. @5:10 18months??!! That has to be the best government deal in history...but with EVERYONE knowing he's a mega mega snitch, do you really think people are gonna want to continue working for him in that industry? The answer should clearly be, fuck no. And i believe the US releases this information for this very exact reason...... anyone agree?

      Delete
    5. wherr does it show that he snitcc

      Delete
    6. Ok Mr.Expert, who got busted because of Vicentillo? Maybe BLO, or Zetas...He never snitched on his own people, and that's all that matters. Ya, 18-24 mos. Ten yrs sentence, Arrested in '08,'09, credit for time served, hard to not make good time in solitary....CDS streamlining...and still moving weight..all the way up in Wa..strong presence in Seattle Tacoma area...Llantas y Sinaloa...funny, never see cars or tires there, and smack all over this area. Meth was big here for 20 yrs, then when they cracked down on all the hillbilly bathtub labs, it's all Mexican...coke, smack, and meth..more smack than anything..no Mexican ditch weed here...you can walk in a store and buy the best weed in the world...so, they've flooded the area with smack..the Asians up here run the X, and synthetics, but the heroin has reached epidemic proportions..and lots of fake oxy pills with fentanyl....Up here it's all Sinaloa..
