BREAKING NEWS: Mexican Marines shot and killed "El H2" a Nayarit Plaza leader of the Beltran Leyva Organization *Video*

Original article available at ZETA
Translated by El Wachito

Juan Francisco Patron Sanchez, alias "El H2" or "El Chico", leader of the Beltran Leyva Cartel, was executed this Thursday night by elements of the Secretary of the Armed Marines of Mexico (SEMAR), in Tepic, Nayarit -where he was the plaza boss-, according to a spokesman of the Presidency of the Republic, Eduardo Sanchez Hernandez, to the journalist Denise Maerker, who made the announcement through her television news show.

Also, "El H2" was executed with 7 of his sicarios, confirmed the SEMAR through their Twitter account: "Today during an armed clash between criminals and Federal Forces, Juan Francisco N. was executed with 7 other criminals".

In a video that was distributed through several social media websites, we can observe the Helicopter of the Marines flying over an area of the capital of Nayarit -colonia Linda Vista, San Juan, Arboledas and Laderas del cerro de San Juan-, after being a target of an armed attack, the helicopter shoot towards the criminals.

H2 became the successor of the criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking of Hector Beltran Leyva, alias "El H" o "El H1", when he was detained in October 1st of 2014, in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.

EL H was arrested in the beautiful town of San Miguel de Allende

In July of 2010, personnel of the Army, captured his brother Juan Pablo Patron Sanchez, who was considered boss of la plaza and a principal drug distributor of drugs in Tepic.

Brother of H2
A narcomanta was found in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, in February of 2011, days after the massacre in Antares Bar, in which 6 young males were assassinated, and in the NarcoManta, "El H2" was accused as one of the principal responsible of the massacre, according to newspaper Noroeste.

At the beginning of December of last year, Horacio Oscar Rosete Mentado, a judge in charge of Legal procedures, authorized the extradition of Hector Beltran Leyva to the United States. Hector Beltran Leyva was the last brother that had the last names that the Cartel had, and he is currently incarcerated in Almoloya  de Juarez, State of Mexico.

During mid September of last year, Elements of the Federal Police arrested Clara Elena Laborin Archuleta, Alias "La Señora" in Hermosillo, Sonora, and she was the boss of the Plaza of Acapulco.

Clara Elena Laborin Archuleta

Official information indicates that Hector Beltran Leyva and his brother Arturo, Alias "El Barbas:, initiated their Compadre Joaquin Archivaldo Guzman Loera, Alias "El Chapo", in the business of cocaine trafficking. They are cousins and they were born in the mountainous region of Badiraguato, Sinaloa.

El Barbas was brutally executed by Mexican Marines

They were allies during decades. However, the Beltran Leyva Cartel  separated from the Sinaloa Cartel, in 2008, after the arrest in Culiacan of Alfredo Beltran Leyva, "El Mochomo", who was one of the principal operators of "El Chapo", and Ismael Zambada Garcia, "El Mayo".

El Mochomo

The capture of "El Mochomo" was considered a betrayal of the Sinaloa Cartel Leaders by the leaders of the Beltral Leyva, therefore, they decided to declare a war against "El Chapo" and "El Mayo", and since then, a war that has lasted nine years, broke out in the state of Sinaloa.

"El Chapo", betrayed his own family, according to information given by the authorities. "El Barbas: was executed by Mexican Marines in December of 2009 in Cuernavaca, Morelos, and then "El H" took command and maintained a cruel war against his Ex-ally, and now ex-leader of the Sinaloa Cartel.

"El H", faces 29 investigations by the Federal Forces, and to the moment of his arrest, he was the leader of the criminal organization that had his last name and dedicated the group to the trafficking of drugs from South America to the United States and Europe.

    6. Just imagine if some smart brain decides to get some manpads and Anti tank weapons let's say shipped from Syria or Libya what can happen. Expect a covert US military intervention to capture the most peacefull Narcos and leave their organization shattered and allow the violent and out of control one's to prosper for a while that is. By that I mean cause internal fighting and by peacefull I mean the one's that don't need to charge every single person in Mexico extortion or the need to kidnap people. The problem will always be Mexico's corrupt government the things they do are for a reason mostly to temporarily make people forget about the problems they face the other is to cut the head of the young lion that eventually will want to lead the pride. Mexico will never heal until it is fixed by people who actually care and love their nation until then expect more of the same and things can get worse 100 times worse. One question I ask myself people in Mexico have been drug trafficking for a while why haven't they used their brain to create legal means of income that can generate tens of billions if dollars without the risk of getting placed in prison or killed. Eventually the end result is ________ or ________.

  9. Wow, thanks for the reports! Mil gracias, saludos y mucho respeto to everyone at BB, very grateful that you dedicate yourselves to posting the news...over the past several years and especially the past several days. I read BB every day, and I really value your courageous reporting and analysis. Also, I recognize and appreciate how you tolerate idiotic noob commenters, defend your work and put them in their place - spread light and knowledge and disperse darkness and ignorance.

BTW, NONE of what's going on now in Sinaloa and western Mexico is being reported in the American or European mainstream media. Nothing on CNN, CBS, NBC, AP, nadie dice nada.

Sending out much support to everyone who's lost family, friends, funds, freedom in this horrible drug war. My best wishes of respect and admiration to the many brave journalists who dare to seek the truth, especially those in my beloved state of Veracruz, and to the colleagues and relatives of the many disappeared and murdered reporters, photographers, videographers, editors and publishers.

I've lived in Mexico many years in the 80s and 90s, but haven't been there since 1999. I remember from my time in that country that there is damned little truth there, and it's the truth that is what really matters.

No idea what the solutions may be, but the problems are immense. Thanks again BB for all you do. !Respeto!

Loyal reader in San Francisco, CA

PS Most of the commenters are puros pendejos but I do kinda like the guy who always says "Chapo snitched." At least he's consistent. LOL

    1. Courageous how? They sit behind computer screens translating news reports from mexico. Nothing courageous about that

      Delete
    2. @6:04 While our reporters do their work from diverse locations around the world, whether it is translating stories from Mexican media or writing original stories we are all aware that the cartels don't like what we do.

Some of us live and report from inside Mexico or right on the US/Mx border. I live and write from Mexico and while I don't claim to be courageous I think all of us are a little more cautious in our daily lives because of risks we take for what we do.

If I am walking down the street at night to the Oxxo a block away I try to practice what I call "situational awareness" - knowing what is in front of me,in back and on each side. Not long ago about 2AM (moderating comments) a pickup pulled up in front of a neighbor's house with 4 or 5 guys in back and a neighbor kid (late teens, early 20's) came out of the house and jumped in the back of the truck and they all drove off. You can't help but wonder what is going on. Another night not long ago I heard shots about a block away and then about 30 minutes later I heard a chain saw start up and it ran for a while. You can't help wondering what is going on. I don't think any of my neighbors know I am affiliated with BB, but you never know for sure. And you do know that the nice guy that lives next door could be a sicario.

Like I said, I don't consider myself courageous, but probably a little paranoid. But sometimes that is a good thing.

      Delete
    8. DD, I said a long time ago, you need to be more careful and not disclose your location. I'm not talking about the narcos. The real concern is the MX government that will eliminate you if they feel it's necessary.

But I have been safe with only 2 close calls both happenstance without my identity of a blogger being known, and me and my staff have been in hotel, and office with a balaceras taking place all around us. like DD says, hyper awareness is the best weapon. This guy had a lot of people emphasize a lot of people , his people or his crew Los Mazatlecos will find someone to oversee operations maybe Chapo Isidro will pick since they were close friends . This hit was very calculated my guess is Damaso dropped a couple million to take out H2 using the Marines , since he is at war with Los Chapitos and mayo , and if this guy was backing them up than Damaso would of not lasted long because H2 controlled the whole state of Nayarit parts of Jalisco and parts of Southern Sinaloa he had enough people to back up Los chapitos and keep the war going on for a very long time, something Damaso didn't want.

  43. What about that one time the Marines interrupted that one wedding in Santa Maria where Chico was at his bodyguards killed 11 marines and he got away even though his main bodyguard el 80 died that day he managed to unload the whole clip on the Marines and save his boss . Now a days el 60 was in charge of security looks like he was also one of the dead . Sad day for Nayarit since H2 controlled the whole state , and kept enemies out CJNG . Now they will attempt to take over the plaza once again since Chico is gone . Expect more violence in Nayarit since Chico was the regional boss .

  48. I find it very interesting that many of the enforcement branches attempt to reign control over a cartel often by starting their own like Zetas and La Barbie. Their reign is usually short lived cuz it seems people with more $, political connections and smarts squeeze them out. Is this desire to control due to human nature? Like when the entry level empoyee thinks he can out manage his boss who has managed for 15+ yrs. Takes a different skill set

Mayo will stand aside and and he will allow the winner to take hold of CDS. He is semi retired and he is only around as a counselor to the new generation. RCQ is not with Guzmanes either so get over it.

    1. Brutha.... Where have you been? El 2000/Dos Mil/Panchito/Cabeza de Vaca/Panchillo was captured January 31st 2016 not 2017. It's been over a year since he was taken down in Gusave, Sinaloa. El 2000 was a bad mofo though, survived a long long time before being captured. He was said to be the mastermind behind the massacres in Cananea and Arizpe, as well as the murder of Nacho Cornel's son. Not much is known about him but some say he got his start with the Enriquez Parra family, Los Numeros. He brought Los Zetas to Northern Sonora to battle the Sinaloans when Chapo tried to push him out of the Nogales and Cananea plazas. Im pretty sure he took out quite a few Paredes Machado family members in Sonora. He was the intermediary between the BLO and CDG in the mid 2000's and recently he was the intermediary between the BLO, Los Zetas, and Juarez Cartels.

So does Chapo Isidro retaliate against the military? I would assume the death of H2 has something to do with the apparent war between Los Damasos and Los Chapitos? Who does Los Mazatlecos even have left beside El H9 and El Tortillero, and El Guero-Saba? Does anyone have any information on the 7 others who were killed?

I'd love to see BB do a article on some of the more shadowy cartel figures like El 2000, El H2, Z43, Mayito Flaco, Cesar Carrillo Leyva, and of course Comandante Perro! hahaha j/k with the Comandante Perro. Dude is right up there with the "Chapo snitched" guy! Great read borderland beat, Keep up the great work DD, Wachito, Chivis, Itzli, and the rest of the crew.
