During an operation lead by 3 levels of government, 10 individuals were arrested while they were transporting the dead bodies of 5 individuals on board two pick up trucks. One law enforcement agent among the arrested. This information was confirmed by Fiscal Eduardo Almaguer Ramirez.

The victims are currently at the Forensic Service Institution of Jalisco for an autopsy in order to determine how they were executed.

    3. The death penalty will not stop this. The problem stems from capitalism. Agreements like NAFTA caused this. If you can't survive on the "minimum living wage" then you're going to create animals. Look at Soviet Russia. There was a terrible amount of cannibalism during the Stalin era, because they saw profit in exporting the food that was supposed to feed everyone. People were starving. It's nature for human beings to resort to violence if they are not able to survive any other way.

I agree with you though. I was watching a video where a "jefe de seguridad de la plaza" for the Templarios back in the day was being interviewed by police after being caught. He was being paid chump change. Like $150 a week or so. He could have made more working at a maquiladora or even a tortilleria or something. These guys aren't making that much money or getting rich. I guess they want the power and to feel admired or feared.

    3. I think Mexican prisons are different than the ones in the US, although it's still prison, arguably. They can be at the top of the heap in their prison, though, and call the shots. If you're used to doing whatever you want, prison's not all that different sometimes. MM

      Delete
    4. @8:28 I've been living in Mexico for 20 years and I don't know anyone working in a maquiladora or tortilleria that makes $150USD a week. More like $50 to $75.

      Delete
    5. Maybe check again, dd, nobody makes $50.00 usd in mexico on 4 or 5 dollars a day, and most likely mexicans scrapling a living out of garbage dumps, under employed or self employed barely make 1 dollar a day, about 20 pesos, while queen of the poor, secretary of social development "rosario robles berlanga" former PRD chapulina turned epn's priista says a family of 3 can live on 12 pesos diarios, equal to 1 dollar BEFORE the devaluation.
Of course, you can't buy a toothpick for 20 pesos or 1 dollar in some "select places", but I hear steaks at the donal's are worth 1 dollar, eating them THERE is priceless, you are blessed if you only spend one thousand dollars to eat there.

      Delete
    6. Oh shit dont get him started,ye know like an ex cigarette smoker

      Delete
    7. @12:00PM My friend, you need to check again. I know you like to think you know more than anyone else, but my wife works at a maquiladora and I don't need to do any checking. She makes 1050 pesos a week take home pay. That is a little over $50 ($51.29 to be exact) a week at todays exchange rate. And her maquila is one of the lower paying maquiladoras in our town. Do your homework before you call me out.

      Delete
    8. You are talking middle class dd, I am talking lower class, amon them the under employed and the car washer, the sellers of field rats, or the garbage pickers, some of them among the 50 million plus poorest mexicans, a maquiladora job is a great job to have under the circumstances, it is not like saying you are wrong.
still 8 or 9 dollars A DAY is not like a life saver, and "the donal' wants his jobs back" or a king's ransom for them.
Federal congressmen, are having 500 thousand bonuses for Christmas and 170 thousand to make up for "devaluations".
those about 600 guys are just not poor guys, now with the recent devaluation, those 8 or 9 dollars a day, just came down to like 5 or 6 dollars a day, after the minimum wage in mexico had just been raised to $2.99 usd a day for the "upper employed high class mexican worker", that falls down to about 2.00 a day now

In the end thats part of life in Mexico now these days.we can all sit behind a computer screen and vent our fustrations and outrage, especially safely in the U.S.A., but the soldiers and the police in Mexico deal with a very complex phenomenon the best they can.Corrupt or not corrupt the police still end up facing groups of criminals that are way better equipted than they are and many officers don't come back to their families.

    2. They still deserve a trial, as odious as they may be. Execution on sight is what's happening in the Filipines with the alleged drug dealers. Are they guilty? Maybe, maybe not. We'll never know. MM

    3. Soldiers still have better equipment and training, and all the impunity in the world, after the impact they make in murdering and raping wherever they go, it is still very hard to make the government get them out like it happened in cd juareeez, where even the presidente fecal had to take his killers out of there, and leave the juarez border to real gangsters and drug traffickers and rapists, they were preferred to the mexican army, there was a general tried for murdering even his own lieutenants in ojinaga for being too honest...
The mexican military and police corporations are corrupt,
It is time to let the people organize and defend themselves.

    3. Really? I think people would have to be a bit twisted to think that's a glamorous lifestyle. When I watched the portrayal of Pablo Escobar on Narcos, it's clear he thought people were disposable, and good old Pablo could only enjoy so much of his material possessions, since he was constantly running. Everything he touched eventually turned to crap. Poor people would work for him, he'd lie to them, and it usually culminated in death for whoever he was using that week. He tried to blow up an entire plane just to kill a few people. (I realize this was only a movie, but I understand the facts were similar). But yes, the movies and TV shows tend to glamorize Walter White, et al in general. MM

The only theory I have is that Mexican police face threats of death to both them and their families so they're more likely to turn to the dark side. American police have it so easy and the entire city/county/state goes crazy trying to find anyone that hurts or kills a cop. So in that sense American police have a very strong fraternal protection of one another and they will seek out revenge against any cop-killer.

Do you all think American police would be easily corrupted if they saw the day-to-day violence that Mexican police do? Do you all think American police would join the narcos given the chance to be bribed with that huge amount of cash or threatened with their lives?

Now we have this perfect storm to blend in a U.S. demand for drugs. Anybody can be bought with the right amount of money. So yes, U.S. cops will be bribed. Unfortunately for them its much harder to get away with here in the U.S. My bigger worry is that someday we have a big refugee crisis from Mexico. Because the cartels are only getting more powerful. The only thing to save Mexico is to legalize all drugs in the U.S. I am not a fan of drugs, but the writing is on the wall. I am hoping the legalization of weed will help with that conversation. - El Whitey
