Following the wave of assassinations in NL, now 21 in 3 days

Translated by Otis B Fly-Wheel for Borderland Beat from a Milenio article

[ Subject Matter: Recent wave of killing in Nuevo Leon
Recommendation: No prior subject matter knowledge required]

The mandatory State Press Conference

Reporter: Daniela Mendoza and Redaction

Neuvo Leon: Three men were killed and their bodies abandoned in different avenues of San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon.

Around 11:00 in the morning, Authorities received a report that a body of a man had been found, between 18 and 20 years old, in Calzada de Valle and Rio Tamesis. The body was present with three bullet wounds, the victim had a red shirt and blue jeans and was bare foot.

Apparently the body was left close to a party opposite a vacant lot, but there were no spent cartridge cases nearby.

About 06:30 am the Authorities received a report of another body found, a man with bullet wounds, between 25 and 30 years of age, on the crossroads of San Pedro and Fuentes de Valle.

The victim of thin complexion, shorts, grey shirt, also barefoot.

Until specialists could attend, the scene was managed by State Investigative Forces.

At 08:05 they received another report about the appearance of a dead body, of a man between 25 and 30 in Rio La Silla and Mississippi.

He had a short shirt, padlock beard, and found with mouth open and wearing shoes.

Officials from San Pedro informed that this body was found close to a dwelling of a friend of the Secretary for Municipal Security.

Of the information we have gathered up until this moment, there were no mantas or spent cartridge cases near any of the bodies, we presume they were killed elsewhere and left at the places they were found. said an official from San Pedro

Possible Relation

The State Government says they have found no relation between these killings and the violent events recently in Nuevo Leon this past week in the town.

This on top of 20 elements of the Police and Transit Police being discharged from duty for extortion, which in turn has led to a loss of confidence in these establishments.

When questioned specifically on this subject, the Governor Rodrigo Medina said that they are very close to determining the facts, but cannot divulge what are his lines of investigation.

We are very close to determining the facts, and one of the lines of investigation, without doubt, have been made by the Interior Secretary for Public Security, we have one line of investigation and only one. It is to say that we cannot affirm, in this moment, with exactness what the motive was. Without doubt it calls attention and will be investigated, and in the next few hours we hope to have another conclusion.

We are not ruling out anything, its very important that we make these investigation in concord and coordination with the Authorities of San Pedro, they will have periodic meetings in the next few hours with the State Preventative Police and San Pedro officials, who are advancing the investigation.

The Justice Prosecutor, Javier Flores, said that in the case of the assassination of ten people in Garcia, they detected that the space where the crimes occurred is a point of sale for drug dealers.

Keys

In Chihuahua, a criminal group kidnapped and killed the Director of Municipal Police for the town of Guadalupe, Bravos District, Maximo Carillo.

The Police Chief was kidnapped by three suspects, and two more with their faces hidden, when they found him in the village baseball field, where the subjects threatened to kill the witnesses present.

The event occurred a little after midday yesterday, when Carillo and various inhabitants were participating in a picnic and a little after were surprised by the heavily armed subjects.

  2. That's what happens, in a country that allows crime to go unpunished and gives criminals more protection than its citizens.

  4. Obviously Z's flexing muscle as a warning to incoming Governor El Bronco.

El Bronco says he's going after the current Governor Medina for looting the state treasury (more than one billion pesos) and Medina's Z allies are pissed.

  8. Wow! Here in northeast Oklahoma it is a bad day when we have to wait on long trains (no overpass or underpass). Mexico is not a functioning state in the process of failing, it is a functioning narco state in the process of succeeding.
