Federal Police in Tanhuato Michoacán 43 Sicarios killed 3 FP

Lucio R. Borderland Beat  Material from Michoacán 3.0, Reforma, Reuters, Face Book-Ferrez TV

From Quadratin: 43 gunmen  and only 3 federal element killed  6 incinerated vehicles....Heavy artillery was found at the ranch, including anti-aircraft, 50. Cal and grenade launchers)

Although authorities have not released official figures on the number of dead and wounded in the clash that occurred Friday morning in Tanhuato, Michoacán, unofficially speaking of between 15 and 43 dead.

Around 9:30 this morning a Federal Police convoy was attacked along the toll road leading from D.F. to Guadalajara.

This morning a shootout between members of the Federal Police and suspected members of CJNG  was recorded on 371 km leading to Tinaja de Vargas on Ecuandureo-Tanhuato road.

Early reports spoke of two dead and one injured federal police, but through social networks citizens have reported that the figure is between 15 and 43 people, including civilians and members of the Federal Police.

The arrest of five suspects is also reported, while the number of wounded is unknown.

Tanhuato is within the limits of JalMich (Michoacán and Jalisco).

Sources in the Interior Ministry, said that at 16:00 will be a press conference to give details.

Tanhuato Mayor, Jose Ignacio Cuevas Perez said in an interview with Radio Formula that elements of the Federal Police arrived at the Tinaja de Vargas community, when they were allegedly attacked and fired upon by  civilians.  Efe reports the FP were there to serve arrest warrants on organized crime members.

Pepe’s report:

CJNG - 40+ Killed in Narco/PF Clash on Mich./Jalisco Border

What supposedly happened:

"It was around 8:30 in the morning, when, according to the latest reports, Federal Police saw a
heavily armed convoy leaving Rancho El Sol, on the highway between Ecuandureo-Tanhuato, at kilometer 370, very close to the pueblo of Tinaja de Vargas, located within Ecuandureo.

At that moment, the federal police ordered the convoy to stop, and the convoy opened fire, which led to a 30 minute gun battle.

Immediately after this, elements of the Mexican Army, Federal Police and Fuerza Cuidadana entered Rancho El Sol, where they encountered another group of heavily armed civilians."

As we saw in the first post, this Ranch was apparently burned to the ground. In fotos and videos you can see the smoke from the fire off the main highway.

Needless to say, a very imbalanced casualty figure.  We might be looking at more "extra-judicial" killings by Mexican security forces.

    2. Maybe the cops picked them (the weapons) up so they didnt get shot by them.

It is quite a stretch to suggest this was a case of "extra-judicial" killings.

Question: Were the narcos based at this ranch, or did they attack it and burn it, (like they have so many others), and then the cops caught them as they were leaving?

    3. If there's no weapons next to them that means they were real criminals cause if they were innocents getting killed the feds would lay weapons down next to the bodies to make it look real.

But what doesnt make sense is how do they saty rich if their supplies are being raided by police and most of it never makes it to the buyer. Aside from extortion and robbery in means of getting money does anyone in mexico buy drugs like crazy like they do in america in order to make the cartels rich or is it just purely american and europeans making cartels rich???

    4. Mexican drug use is fueled by the lower members of cartels getting paid in species, they eat it or sell it, and they have to sell it gram by gram to make the pesos to live and pay the police and military and their plaza owners, the squeeze causes all the problems, but who cares? It is not like the gramero union is going to get in the middle...
--it is like it all over the world, farmers, workers, producers, do not get paid what the work is worth, the middle men get better pay, but about 90% belongs to the big business that trade it all, control prices, own the banks, decide on where war gets done, where and how money gets laundered and invested, etc etc etc, and none of it is up to no poor people in the world...

Unlike the PJF of old the new cops at least don't come around demanding piso. Can't say the same for sicarios. I shake my head at the pendejos who support los malos. It is obvious they do not live here in Mexico. I can hope for the day soldados turn in coronels and generales for corrupcion.

And the gringos do nothing to intercept bloques de billetes going south. Gringos do nothing to search cargo containers. That is where most of the drugs are going north and most of the dlls are coming south.

Tell me this old wise ones.....

Mil de millones de dlls come to Mexico. How is it possible traylores de cargos de efectivo get washed? Where do the dlls go? Who has toneladas de pesos to pay? Something is very wrong and this business cannot be anything but oficialy sancionned at the highest levels of gobernacion.

  42. Tanhuato is a town that for years has been considered territory of the Jalisco Cartel. Tinaja de Vargas is well known to produce mean vicious killers. I do not mean that everybody in Vargas are killers but it is sure noticeable that bad ass folks come from that area. Yurecuaro is also Jalisco Cartel territory. I know for I am from those whereabouts. My folks been there since the 1840's. Last week the candidate for Mayor of Yurecuaro got it. Now so many supposedly killed criminals at the Rancho del Sol and only 1 Fed down, surely is not comprehensible. Conclusion it was a MASSACRE, blood party for the Feds against who were mostly farmworkers and ranch hands. Feds in that area are real crooked and are known to do shakedowns on anybody they wish to do so, just as long as they are the majority and you are at a disadvantage. Poor bastards who got killed, mostly hard working innocent folk, whose only crime was to be workhands in a ranch for nickels and dimes a day, if not pennies. Now when it come to the Mayor of Tanhuato, that guy is so corrupt and crooked. His gang at City Hall have done nothing but rake the $ from the town vault. Buying mansions and expensive vehicles. By doing a little research you can see ém posting pics of their "extravanganzas" on Facebook. Once again Feds had their blood bath party. Poor folks paid the tab. Shame on the Mexican government.

God it looks so shitty to be a sicario.. livinglike a hobo, butwith an ak.. look at the back patio.. youcan tell thats where they had been sleeping.. get 400 a month to put your life on the line and never get anywhere but dead..ye i know tge poor in that country make the poor here in the us look rich, but still, i couldnt live like that and still have enough morale left to fight for the cartel that im there for.. maybe im too intelligent and would realize that i can be so easily desposed of, but i would end up going and killing my bosses after not too long.. atleast id have killed the right people before i die.. this is so damn senseless..

  64. I'm sure there was more federales dead than just one. really? 3 hour shootout from both sides and only one federal dead. think about it. plus, your talking about michoacan, the state where more federales have been killed then any other state... I smell bullshit!!!!!

  67. The message from the gvt is give up Mencho or we will "TAKE NO PRISONERS" and destroy you.
The gvt is probably in contact with CJNG lieutenants with that offer.
And then you can get back to business with the understanding who is the big boss!

  68. The evidence, photos and videos, we have been shown does not jive with some of the media descriptions (which presumably were obtained from the govt). One description referred to the "vast" ranch. 500+ acres does not make a vast ranch. There was no livestock, cattle, horses, or sheep which you would normally see on a ranch.
500 acres does make a pretty good sized farm and the photos show fields with well tended crops. The one outbuilding shown in photos looks like a packing shed for produce. There appears to be large pieces of farm machinery nearby. The house does not appear to be burned to the ground as some reports indicated.
The purpose of pointing out these things is to get a picture in our minds of what the scene really looked like.
Now if you are a sicario or member of the cartel and you hear the shooting taking place up near the gate, and see the federal police descending on you, what would you do? Run across open flat farmland where the cops have a clear shot at you and there is no place to hide or hunker down inside the house and use it as a fortress?. The govt.s version of the bad guys scattering across the fields (to explain why there was no concentration of bodies or casings in one area) just doesn't ring true. Brings to mind those "guaranteed" kill hunts where a deer hunter is stationed off the side and deer are released from a pen to run across an open area in front of the hunters.

  69. México está en ruinas debido a los cárteles y lo único que le preocupa es la policía mexicana puesta en escena de una escena con decano sicarios. Qué pasa con ustedes? Sin embargo, estos sicarios murieron es bueno para el país de México.
