Veracruz: Daylight Kidnapping Caught on Video

On September 17th, what appears to be a kidnapping occurs  the Minatitlan municipality of Veracruz, where a witness recorded the apparent kidnapping.  Four men  forcibly pulls a man from his automobile, placed him in a truck with darkly tinted windows and drove away.

The man fiercely struggles making it difficult for kidnappers to extract him from his vehicle into the truck, witnesses can be heard shouting "leave him alone".

the incident occurred on Francisco de Lara street  and Vargas near the corner with the Hidalgo Avenue in the city centre, just opposite the Teresita College area.

Authorities have  not  confirmed the apparent  kidnapping .

"Operation shielding Minatitlán", was established by Governor Javier Duarte de Ochoa, just this month, due to the high volume of violence in this municipality and the southern part of the state.

  1. Shame on all those people who just watched. What good does "dejenlo!" do? The general population need to step up and begin to show cartel's that they will no longer sit back and let things happen.

  5. What a bunch of pussies live in mexico. These 4 fat fucks couldnt even get a man in a truck...took forever, yet all these bystanders could say was leave him alone. Man try that here in the USA and see how many people stand around and record a kidnapping....this is sad. The guy was fighting for his life and knew he was going to die.

On the other hand, taxi drivers are the eyes and ears of cartels. One never knows what is truly going on.

    7. It's the culture. You mind your own business and look the other way or you pay the consequences. In the US most citizens are taught to fight back. Not all people fight back but it's encouraged to protect others who are in crisis.

  13. Off duty police on their regular job of gangsta. Being a police officer is secondary and part time. They don't care, they arrest innocent people with fake eyewitnesses and confessions. I say sandlot time for all of Mexico. Poise the tomahawks and drones and "let's get readdddy to rummmmmble."

  14. Idk if it's that the 4 dudes suck, but instead i think the guy they were kidnapping gave them a fight. He looks about 250 lbs at least. Lol i would try my hardest to avoid the truck, hence he was giving all his energy to avoid getting in the truck

  15. A few years ago on Chihuahua where I live the car jacking was off the charts. Two to three per day just in the Wal-Mart and Sam's club parking lot which are conjoined. A guy I knew washed cars there in the parking lot. This went on for almost a year and not one person was caught. When you would drive anywhere in this area there was always more police at any one moment than you could count fingers on two hands. It was a hangout for cipol, and all the rest of the enforcement agencies. The guy I know witnessed quite a few of the jighjackings. He said there was never a police officer in the area when it went down, and the police did not show up for a bout 15 to 20 minutes after the incident was reported. He said you know very well the police are involved in it. If they wanted to catch them they could have set up undercover in the parking lot everyday and had a great day catching them if they were not involved. The police I am sure take a cut in many of these kidnappings. That is how it works here muchacho's.

  18. This is a direct result of what happens when you have a weak central government. You have a power vacuum and it is filled by criminals. Of course the bystanders didn't do anything, they would have been killed. More guns would do nothing to stop it.

    1. @7:18 I tend to agree with you. These guys did appear to not want to hurt the guy. Look how long it took for them to extract him from his car. If they wanted to kill him they would beat him senseless first then take him. It would have taken Less time. It was probably the CIA and the Navy snatching up a involuntary informant. It had to look good in front of his homies watching. Then they run back to the plaza boss and say "damn they got Chune boss". Stranger things have occurred in Mexico.

  21. All arrests by the police in mexico need to be explained to the witnesses, the officers identified and make sure to keep track of all operations and where all the officers are at all times, wether free time or not, but that will not happen because... to put it succinctly, the police and el gobernador are full of shit and into kidnapping, extortions and execution, with the blessings of pena nieto...

  22. I am a citizen of the U.S. but own a home a spend a lot of time in Mexico during the winter. I have concealed carry permits in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. I always have access to firearms in my car and on my person. What a shame the guy being abducted didn't have a weapon with which to defend himself. Had I observed such an incident here in the U.S., I would have gone to his aid and done whatever was necessary to rescue him from such an event. Gun control in Mexico only means that bad guys and military and police are armed. Mexico needs a Second Amendment.

    1. A citizen cannot really do much to a cop seeing as how many cops are usually at the scene of the event, if they attack than its an assault which will get you prison time buddy. Thats why they record for PROOF, but if four. guys were attsattempting something like that on a busy street over here their would be a revolt because their are people here who really aren't scared of four putos not even paying attention to whats going on behind them.. whoever wrote this comment needs to be slapped in the face, don't be mad because Americans fight back, while your POS country is slowly dying.

Man u yanks are something else saying if arms were allowed to the ordinary citizens this wouldn't happen.Well Canada has similar gun laws as Mexico[its not written in our constitution citizens rights to bear arms]and our crime rate is much lower per capita than the US especially gun deaths and if that victim was armed yes he could have shot 1 guy but what about the rest they would have been right on the victim he wouldn't have had time to kill 3 so the real problem is rule of law not gun laws.

Actually it doesn't take much to pull the trigger of a firearm. I personally can easily let loose all 18 rounds of my Glock 17 in under 3 seconds. With decent training you can be very proficient with a handgun. The difference between Canada, US and Mexico is more citizens in the US are familiar with firearms. In Texas handguns are a dime a dozen and most criminals will go to areas where you can find the easiest victims. If this happened to me I would have put down the first two dudes within the first 2 seconds. The other two would have either ran or met the fate of the two on the ground. That's how we roll in Gods country.

  29. Mexico will never allow it's citizens to possess firearms because the government knows what it would lead to. I honestly believe there would be an uprising and rebellion against the status quo. The idea of an 2nd amendment in Mexico will never happen. The Mexican government needs to be purged plain and simple. Will it happen? Probably not. This type of corruption is centuries old and will not change over night.

  30. Unless your a bad ass super hero theres nothing you can do but yell leave him alone or you will wind up tortured along with him, plus the guy being kidnapped might be another cartel member who killed people himself. Plus if you have seen the videos on the website in the past few years you would stay out of it. The torture videos in this site will keep me away from mexico, I wont even go to Texas or anywhere near mexico. Nothing against them I just like to stay away from troubled places. I know there's danger all over the world but I rather too many crazy things happen over there.

  32. Why is it so hard to believe that people in the US would do something to help this poor guy? I will give you an example of a regular citizen with a firearm running to give aid to those in crisis.....

Mark Alan Wilson (January 20, 1953 – February 24, 2005) was a Tyler, Texas man killed during a shooting outside the Smith County Courthouse in Tyler, Texas. He entered an ongoing gun battle between David Hernandez Arroyo Sr., who had attempted earlier to kill his wife and son, and law enforcement officers. Wilson was killed at close quarters by Arroyo, who was wearing body armor, after shooting and hitting Arroyo several times. Wilson had no affiliations, professional or otherwise, with law enforcement, and acted solely as a private citizen during the shootout. Arroyo was later killed by gunfire from police officers.

This shootout occurred in Tyler, Texas Feb 24, 2005 at the Smih County House. This man gave his life as a citizen to help those in need. Wilson faced Arroyo with a handgun and Arroyo had a AK 47 style rifle. This man is a hero for what he did and he is an example of what we are taught in the US. He gave his life in order to protect others with no regard for his own life. If you don't believe me Google Smith County Courthouse shooting. I know this is a forum about issues in Mexico but I felt it necessary to stick up for those people who said they would have done something.
