Zamora Michoacán Autodefensas, Tamplarios Intense Shootout

Borderland Beat posted by Pepe

Sunday in Zamora, Michoacán, the 3rd largest city in the state, a shootout took place near the Sunday tianguis in downtown. There are conflicting reports, but it looks like narcos attacked a group of AD's and Rurales, eating in a restaurant near the market. [reports and video do not depict rurales only AD] Reports of casualties are conflicting, but a civilian was injured by a bala perdida during the shootout that followed the attack.

It's interesting to see up-close the guys responding to the attack. With everything from revolvers, and hunting rifles, to AK-47 type assault rifles. The one thing AD and Templarios have in common - none are in any uniforms, not even a colored t-shirt

  12. Here is what I have about the matamoros prison conflict:

misinformation spread like wildfire in Matamoros stemming from a revolt between prisoners that included a fire set. The outbreak of violence occurred at Cereso de Santa Adelaida Matamoros (prison)

Unofficial reports speak of 4-5 dead and 25 wounded, State and federal forces were sent in to control the violence and stop the fire. "Jr" Cardenas a nephew of Osiel Cardenas was reported to have been one of the dead, he was son of Ezequiel Cardenas.
Many of the injured suffered burns, some critically injured.

Neighbors reported hearing grenade detonations emitting from the prison.

  13. Umm, I think the eye of the tiger is usually about hand to hand combat, its also a song that was made popular in a rocky movie, rocky 2 I believe. The band is called survivor. No but in order for you to be effective in battle you must wear a leopard print headband, or blindfold, a red leather vest and a pair of assless leather pants, then you are ready, until then, no mames
