Phil Jordan: Chapo funded EPN's Campaign

El Chapo contributed money to the campaign of Enrique Peña Nieto in order to become a candidate for the presidency, a former director of intelligence for the DEA revealed.

Phil Jordan said that something bad happened between the PRI and El Chapo because of his capture.  He says that it was a triumph for Mexico, that the president allowed the apprehension of El Chapo.

El Chapo Guzman contributed financial resources to Peña Nieto’s campaign, denounced Phil Jordan, former director of intelligence for the DEA in El Paso, Texas.

“Something bad happened between the PRI and the narco,” he said when being interviewed on a special segment on Univision.

The interviewer asked him: What evidence is there to confirm that El Chapo supported the campaign of Peña Nieto?

“That is documented in past campaigns of the PRI. El Chapo, Caro (Quintero), everyone gave money to whoever was running for president.  I don’t have the papers but there are intelligence reports indicating that the cartel of El Chapo is very involved in politics.”

Wouldn’t it be contradictory that the government of Peña Nieto was the one who captured El Chapo but he received money from him?

“Something bad happened between the PRI and El Chapo Guzmán.  What I can’t tell you now, because I don’t know why they arrested him, when he was paying millions of dollars to not arrest him, like how he paid millions of dollars to let him out the previous time.  He has all the money in the world.”

Jordan said that the relationship between the narcos and Mexican politicians is well known; the ones they need to operate and create their empires.

The interviewer then asks: If Chapo talked about his ties with Mexican politicians, would we have a big surprise in the political landscape of this country?

“There won’t be any surprises because the PRI and Chapo know very well that he was well involved in politics with money,” he replied.

Another question asked was that if Chapo also bribed officials from the United States.  Jordan replies:

“With the money that El Chapo has anything is possible.  Corruption just doesn’t occur in Mexico, it also occurs in the U.S.”

He warned that the jail that El Chapo ends up in, he can also run his business.

He didn’t rule out, however, that El Chapo negotiated his capture.
He stated that with Mexican narcos, there shouldn’t be more than one king, and with Caro Quintero free, he may be the new king.

Here’s a conversation that’s been circulating social media. It’s an excerpt from Rafael Loret de Mola’s book: Nuestro Inframundo: Los 7 Infiernos De Mexico released on January 1st, 2010.  It’s a book written by a journalist who after 32 books, no one can deny it.  Rafael Loret has won many awards including: Medalla Libertad de Expresión, Premio Jesús Romero Flores, El Chimalli de Oro, El Azteca de Oro, and Premio Quetzal.

-“Governor is that you?”

-“Yes, who’s calling?”

-“Take note governor.  I’m Joaquín Guzmán Loera.  Does the name ring a bell?  I know that you protected the hitmen of Arturo Beltrán.”

-“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” said Peña Nieto.

-“From this moment on, I’m going to reserve your life for myself.  You will never reach the presidency.”

Loret notes that on the day of his wedding with Angélica Rivera, on November 27, 2010, Peña Nieto seemed very anxious.

  1. Wow, I am more shocked about Jordan talking about Caro then the money to EPN. This guy ran the DEA he is someone in the know. If he is dropping Caro Quinteros name it's important. Quintero is the new boss of bosses.

  2. That's not true, everyone knows that the Z's and Carlos Salinas De Gortari financed EPN's campaign. If El Chapo had been the one that financed EPN's campaign he wouldn't have been caught.

  8. I told everyone that one of the two heads of CDS would be apprehended after the way they went into Culiacan this past week. This will no doubt create a big shit storm in Sinaloa and neighboring states but watch how heads will start falling within the PRI party. Something tells me this is far from over. Chapo is just the beginning I doubt they will let the PRI party do them like that after paying millions for years to the scum in Mexico City. Get your popcorn out cuz mexico is about to get real

    1. Mexico needs a shake up, starting with the corupt politicians that make it possible for the criminals to opperate all over Mexico. First and foremost by taking down the criminals that run the so called plazas. Mexican citizens deserve better. There should be only one tax, and it should be to their elected government. These Cartels just put a dark cloud over the citizens by charging extortion fees, robbing, kidnappings, murders and other threats. Its disgusting to think that in many places their very own government representatives (politicians, cops) are working 100% for the criminal groups, and if they go to them, they run the risk of getting themselves or families killed!!! Chapo going down is very fishy to me (Politics) because the business end of their opperations will continue on "business as usual" with the other players already handpicked. I find it suprising that all of these Cartel heads keep getting taken down yet there aren't any top politicians that make it all possible in a Federal Penitentiary!!!!!!

    1. Good riddance! I hve been told by people that have lived in a town in Zacatecas before the Zetas arrived. It was a nice town with a colonial feel. The people, humble and hardworking had no fear of anything. After the Zetas came in. They started robbing, kidnapping people( sometimes multiple times), killing people even if the ransom was paid, extorting local businesses, killing and threating the local law enforcement, and countless other terrible acts. It got to the point where the people were afraid to go do anthing. The fun safe town where people could spend the night sleeping on a park bench after a night of fiestas without any feer of getting mugged. After the Zetas the town had depressing feel to it as if it had a permanent dark cloud over it. It wasn't until the Zetas were kicked out that the town got its life back. SO GOOD RIDDANCE ZETAS!

  11. Pena-Neito wants to get rid of the Capos that are causing problems in Mexico. Do you recall that he wants to put billions of pesos into the infrastructure of Mexico. Since Z40 and Chapo have been causing problems he has the Marina capture them. He is supported by big businesses in Mexico that affect their $$$. The businesses want trade with US and Canada to go smooth like it was before in the 80s and 90s. He probably sent a representative to each capo to stop causing problems or be captured and sent to the US. At least Chapo has a Barbie to play with and Z40 in the prison, and all the rest of them that were caught under Calderon. Who is next that is causing trouble in Mexico? Just send the Marina for them,! Next!

    1. Take the corrupt politicians to prison next. And these $$$$ big business need to stop being so fucking greedy and share some of that $$$$ with the poor people of mexico that work so hard for very little pay$. I know a lot of people that work for almost nothing In Mexico, and the USA. Thats why they come to America, take a job at Mc Donalds ( minimum wage) with no benefits or social security in their own name. They will live in a house with like three families. For you that don't know all rooms except for the kitchen are sleeping quarters and for forget about having your own room. Can you picture sardines. I personally have lived like that. I love Mexico its always in my heart, and I love the USA for the political system that has allowed generations of immigrants to prosper and be able to reach the Middle class. (And more with ambition) The Elites of Mexico need to look in the mirror and allow for a middle class. How much $$$$ do you really need. $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Fucken Calderon didn't catch any hheavy players from the Sinaloa cartel. Calderon was on ElSapos payroll, that's why the Gulf cartel took all the big hits while Calderon was in office. Now its another cartels turn to work with impunity under EPN term.

  12. Of all the day's news, this is the story that caught my ear when televised early in the day. I'm glad that BB picked up on it. Mr Jordan also mentioned the well known connection between narcos and the PRI during their last reign. It is sad that citizens have to second guess every move by our public servants. There is almost always an alterior motive. Any time a public servant does not put the greater good of their electorate and the rule of law first, there is corruption. Money exchanged in the shadows, ALEC percs, stuctured campaign contributions, et¢.is the root of most corruption. Money talks, corrupted officials listen, society digresses.

  14. PRI has always been about distribution of power to each state almost autonomously. PAN tried to distribute the power to the feds which created a huge imbalance throughout Mexico because there is so many big players and also politicians that were involved. Calderon with the use of the military backing him, tried to give sole power to Sinaloa. That was why the military was in Juarez, Nuevo Laredo and everywhere else he tried to take plazas. The PRI must have decided old school would be the only road to peace and brought Caro back. Ernesto Fonseca Carrillo was Amado's uncle and there lies the blessings on the Juarez. The funny thing is, I thought his partner, Rafael Caro Quintero was El Chapo's uncle? Does anybody remember? But this I am pretty sure of. El Chapo wasn't surprised at this hotel. He was waiting to be arrested. It seems to me this is how the PRI redistributes the power back to state run cartels and peace comes, everyone is happy, and the tourists come back to Mexico. They will put the Military back in their barracks where they belong. In the old days, strong plaza bosses kept the peace and wouldn't let the petty crime happen. Sure it was corrupt, with kidnapping and such but people knew where they stood and paid the ransom and went home alive.

  16. This is a really cool interview piece, thanks for sharing! Few questions:
    - He said: “There won’t be any surprises because the PRI and Chapo know very well that he was well involved in politics with money”. This doesn't answer the question. Is he trying to say that most people in the country know Chapo was financing the PRI?
    - Was this information confidential, and Phil Jordan is releasing it only now tht Chapo was arrested? If so, why was it confidential?
    - One funny thing, the first line "El Chapo contributed money to the campaign of Enrique Peña Nieto in order to become a candidate for the presidency" makes it sound like Chapo wanted to run for president :) :) :)

    Thanks again for posting!

financed with drug traffickers money, priista governors funds, stolen from the public through of their free and "sovereign states", funds obtained from milking pemex el chapo's money?of course, but that was a while ago, carlos salinas de gortari does not put money in a campaign like that, he made money from all sides, and is about to make much more when his consultancy services get paid from the global powers pushing for the TPP to get their claws on anything they wish to acquire, oil water rigts, property of whatever their heart wishes, great philosopher EVO MORALES, president of Bolivia and member of a "cabal hellbent on disappointing the great satan"(the US) , composed of china, spain, the european union, china, all the other great powers that own the US foreign debt, that very same EVO MORALES said at the recent CELAC in CUBA, that the rich want to PRIVATIZE THE RICHESS, AND SOCIALIZE POVERTY, and it is true, the US has alienated the latin-american continent and has done great wrongs, inspired by the same european communist supporters of the wars of liberation that the US got in debt fighting all over the world, te bottom line here is that everybody has been fucking each other all over the world, and it has benefitted the great financial powers of the world, keeping your word given to a fucking bunch of drug traffickers is not part of any plan of anybody's, we are lucky that we have access to some information, grab it before the neo-maoistas are sent to grab control of the internet and keep it away from the rabble.

I believe their had to be some agreement in place where Chapo had to turn himself in. If you look a littler closer in the drug game, the party that really backed Chapo was PAN!! He escaped under PAN President Fox, while PAN Pres. Calderon unleashed the federal forces upon his enemies. Or allowed Chapo to wage war against his enemies without interference. The pro-PRI Hank Rhon brothers' allies, CAF, CCF, CBL, are/will benefiting/benefit from PRI rule -- suffered under PAN rule.

  32. Mexico is going back to the way it used to be. The cartels are going to be regulated by the government like it ws. When PRI lost, Mexico was lost. Now that PRI is bback, back to business. Its not going to happen overnight but in a few years. You can not and will not get rid of corruption. All you can do is try to regulate it. So it does not get out of control again.
