4 die in Tamaulipas state

A total of four individuals, including one unidentified Mexican Army officer were killed in ongoing fighting in the northern Mexican state of Tamaulipas, according to officials and Mexican press accounts.

Saturday two men were reportedly killed in an exchange of gunfire between armed suspects and an element of Tamulipas' Grupo de Coordinacion Tamaulipas (GCT) in Matamoros, according to a news release posted on the state government website.

The encounter took place near the intersection of calles Uniones and Las Torres in the Parque Industrial del Norte colony.  According to the report, a Mexican Army road patrol observed several armed suspects traveling aboard a Chevrolet Suburban SUV when the patrol was fired on.  Mexican Army counterfire killed two.  An undisclosed number of other armed suspects had apparently abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.

The report said that one of the dead was killed on the road, while the other died while still in the SUV.  The dead were men in their 20s and 30s.

Soldiers at the scene seized four rifles, one hand grenade, 36 weapons magazines, 1,019 rounds of ammunition and tactical gear.

Meanwhile in Miguel Aleman municipality, one armed suspect was killed and three were detained in an armed confrontation with Mexican security forces Friday.

A separate official news release reported that a Mexican Army road patrol encountered a group of armed suspects traveling about an SUV near the intersection of calles Tamaulipas and Salubridad in Nuevo Amanecer colony.  When the patrol attempted a traffic stop, they were fired on.

Mexican Army return fire killed one and wounded a second suspect.  Three men were detained at the scene including one of the suspects wounded in the encounter.

The dead suspect was identified in the news release as Edgar Eduardo Reyes Garcia, 23.  The three detainees were identified as Nestor Alberto Flores, 21, and Emilio Neftali Lopez Diaz, 20. The third detainee, Geronimo Alberto Ibarra Mejía, 27, a was wounded in the gunfight.

Soldiers at the scene seized five rifles, one hand grenade, an undisclosed quantity of weapons magazines and ammunition, and personal quantities of marijuana and rock cocaine.

Finally on Friday, one Mexican Army officer was killed and two other soldiers were wounded in a helicopter crash in Reynosa, according to Mexican news accounts.

A report which appeared on the online edition of Milenio news daily said that the crash took place inside a Mexican Army camp, identified as Camp 8B.  The Friday news report said that he crash is considered an accident.  None of the victims' names have been released.

The helicopter was identified as a Bell 212, known in the US as a "Huey" utility helicopter.  A number of other soldiers were aboard the bird when it went down, but were not reported hurt in the crash.

  2. Here's general info regarding Tamaulipas y'all.
Right on the border the Zetas control everything from Nuevo Laredo to Mier (mier is the first city in frontera chica) and the CDG controls everything from Miguel Aleman (the 2nd city in frontera chica) to Matamoros. I will add though that Mier is a plaza being fought for. Zetas control but there's still a few estacas of CDG-Metros.

Then Tamaulipas is split VERTICALLY (sorry chivis in the other post i said horizontally but i meant up and down aka vertically) with Z controlling a bit more of the state with %60 and CDG %30. Zetas have the west of the state and the CDG the east. The other %10 are disputed plazas.

One of the plazas being fought for right now is Ciudad Victoria. To be honest the CDG is not fighting for it but just heats up the plaza. People don't know how important the CV plaza is.The Zetas have the 3 levels of government bought in Cd Victoria. The CDG loves to heat up that plaza a lot and it gives the Zetas major headaches. At any given moment the CDG has between 5-10 suicide squads operating in the city. I call them suicide squads because those estacas are the ones who cause so much mayhem and get killed so often. That's where most new generation CDG comandantes are sent to prove their worthiness. Comandante Cherries use to head the suicide squads operating in that plaza.

Another plaza being fought for is San Fernando. Since the beginning of summer last year the CDG has tried to wrestle control of SF from the Z. They succeeded sometime in fall but once reinforcements from Nuevo Laredo and Cd Victoria came in the CDG was once again kicked out. Though recently the CDG-Tangos (tangos are the ones from tampico) and CDG-Metros and a few CDG-Deltas have recently moved in and are fighting the Z for the plaza. Though I think the Tangos will pull out because of the shit happening in Tampico. The Zetas regularly make incursions into Reynosa from San Fernando using HWY 97. They also hit Matamoros regularly too from San Fernando using HWY 101. That's why SF is an important plaza. That's why Reynosa and Matamoros always heat up. The CDG loves to blame other CDG factions to misinform the population but most of the time it's Zetas from SF heating up Reynosa and Matamoros.

The other plaza being fought for is Tampico. Tampico is as important to the CDG as Matamoros or Reynosa. It's where their coke and heroin comes in from Colombia. Zetas from Ciudad Mante/Ciudad Victoria/Nuevo Laredo and Veracruz have started to take over the municipalities of Gonzales/Estacion Manuel/Cuahtemoc from CDG so they can start to making incursions into Tampico. The Zetas might be successful because the CDG-Tango estacas have started heating up the plaza so much kidnapping/robbing/extorting that the Army and Marines and even other CDG factions have started going against them. Tampico is gonna be a cluster fuck if the higher-ups can't get the Tangos under control.

Those are the main plazas being fought for as of now in Tamaulipas. Nuevo Laredo is still %100 Zeta. Don't believe the people who come here proclaiming "los zetas ya no son nada en nuevo laredo controla el CDG!!" "el chapo les esta quitando la plaza de NL a los z!!". Those are just fanboys. Also Reynosa and Matamoros still belong to the CDG. Any questions feel free to ask. Also Chivis this is GueroDeLaredo don't know if you remember me. SALUDOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. The Zetas ain't doing anything in Nuevo Laredo, nobody gives a shit about them. The only thing they've done lately is the kidnapping and murdering of two young girls. Z42 ain't doing anything, he is been hiding since his brother was caught. The younger sister lives with a Golfo across the border. People ain't scared of them anymore, lots of people are carrying guns with them and shooting halcones. Güero de Laredo get out in the streets, and quit hiding in the closet.

  7. What a lot of people fail to realize, is that the Zetas were the ENFORCER arm if the cdg. Cdg just ran the business side and laundered the money. They were/are known as the little "fresitas" who have lawyers and shit like that. While you got the Zetas who started from the bottom. Who are actual crazy ass men. If everything had gone how Osiel planned it, lazcano would run the Org and everybody would be happy. But greed is one mean bitch. Money changed loyalty and now everyone works independent and claims CDG. Here in the valley it's been calm, but you can feel the underlying tensions. The rumors of war. And the rumors of a treaty? To return to the way shit should be. Zetas enforcing cdg and working towards a better tamaulipas. The govt runs it all from behind the show. And it's our raza that suffers. Stuck in a desolate pit forced to become "tranzas" an outcome of the society we sadly live here in the valley. Imagine if marijuana were legal . they'd be able to act as large corps. And stop all the violence. Cause that's what the people want. Who cares about what they ride, or what there line of business is. As long as I know my streets and corners are safe, and they operate under the blind eye, we'll quite frankly fuck it! Cause where there is demand there is supply and it's going to get here someway or another, but the violence and plundering of the people need to stop.. Drugs and valley politicians go hand in hand. It's almost the law of the land. Just take a glimpse at sheriff Trevino... He has his county working nice and smoothly. Shows how if you pay quota on time, grand rewards you shall reap.... til next time

  15. GDL here again. Let me elaborate more on the SF plaza.

As of now the SF plaza is divided horizontally. The CDG has managed to wrestle control of the northern part of that plaza effectively cutting off Zeta incursions into their two main cities Matamoros and Reynosa. They lost many people taking over the northern part of the plaza but in the end of the day it was worth it because before Reynosa and Matamoros were getting hit up to 3 times a week. Zetas from San Fernando would roll into Reynosa/Matamoros shoot up tienditas, halcones, sicarios, transitos, etc anything to heat up the plaza. The thing is who knows how long the CDG will be able to hold the SF Northern plaza. Every time the CDG seems to stabilize infighting erupts. With the whole Metro(Reynosa faction) VS Ciclones(Matamoros faction) and Alfas(Altamira faction)+most other factions VS Tangos(tampico faction) who the heck knows what'll happen.

arnaldo ochoa was executed for engaging on drug trafficking to cover up for raul and fidel, el che was planted in bolivia to seal the pact with felix "el gato" rodriguez and to pay both of them back for their involvement in angola? the time line raises questions, now who would be in charge of moving it but the gulf cartel?
the zetas armies of carwashers, paleteros, halcones and corrupt police officers occupied a lot of territory, but had to live off the land, dealing by the gram, kidnapping and murdering all the while with the complicity of higher government officers, bringing the crime and suffering to the masses in the cowardly way of the police and military in mexico, cdg, cdj, and cds would have their thing, but they were not involving so many innocent people in their shit, the zetas are not hated with such fervor for nothing...
there is something behind the calling their rivals de agua, is it because their supplies were offshored to them trough the sea? just wondering...

No extorcionaba.

-the same old politicians that have control all over the state police and federal resources are still at the helm of coahuila and tamaulipas, while their dogs and sicarios fight each other for the table scraps, the spoils of extorting the people and their mini-trafficking, with the help of the tamaleros, paleteros, carwashers and corrupt municipal police and local governments, whlie the federals "can't do nothin" about anything.
-is there something that you don't know or can't talk about, gdl?
thanks for whatever you can do about answering any of this.

I wouldn't say the Gulf Cartel has one supreme commander. I'd look at it as more as a loose alliance of factions. The Metros, Deltas, Ciclones, Tangos, Pumas,Lacostes etc have all their own leader. I will admit some leaders have more power and can override orders of other leaders. The strongest leaders I'd say are Simple, Tachas, Polimenso, Metro 7, Juanito Carrizales and the ex Zetas(the viejos original 31) Flander and Mellao. The Rojos, Medusas, and a few other factions have essentially been wiped out or got absorbed by other factions. The Cardenas-Guillen family sill holds major sway. Homero Cardenas-Guillen has Colombian and other South American connections that go back years. Homero has even cultivated partnerships as far as Africa and Europe. Heck I'll even go as far as saying if Osiel gets released early(dont know how the justice systems works correct me if he has to serve the full sentence) he'll take over the CDG once again. Osiel orchestrated the fall of a lot of CDG leaders so his family could still hold over power, and they still do. And Z-40 still controls the Z behind bars. Z-42 is still number 2 but now that Z-40 is behind bars he has more freedom and can carry out decisions more freely.

Those mantas put up by the so called Legionarios and Renegados was just mis-information by the Gulf Cartel. The only major faction that defected from Z were Talibans people. That's why the Gulf Cartel was able to gain a foothold in Monterrey, Zacatecas, and Cancun. Most of them have been wiped out though that's why we haven't heard of CDG operations in Zacatecas or Monterrey lately. The CDG has managed to keep Cancun though.

Don't know much about the Diamonbacks but I do know the Deltas are the creme-dela-creme of CDG sicarios. The Deltas have a few Kaibiles in their ranks and they train in ranches owned by the CDG in Chiapas and the Yucatan peninsula.

They got into it because both wanted to control the Reynosa plaza and the whole CDG. Well Gringo didn't want overall control but he did want Reynosa for himself since it was him most of the time who fought the Z for it. Gringo was also causing too much heat setting up bombs in Nuevo Laredo and Ciudad Victoria. X-20 was given the green light by everybody in the cartel because Gringo was getting out of control. Once X-20 knew that he had numerical superiority over Gringo did he strike at him. When the whole battle went down in Reynosa a lot of Gringos people had already been killed by previous fighting with Z in Frontera Chica.

Can you tell us who was it that gave the green light and who was against it. Cause they said Puma was with Gringo and Comandante Tyson and Luis Trinidad Ceron aka Comandante Wicho have always been loyal to him.

  32. I'd also like to chip in that the descendants of Juan N. Guerra are still working for the CDG. They mostly stick to money laundering and importing but supposedly a great-grandson of Juan N. Guerra is comandante in the Ciclones faction. They don't hold as much sway as the Cardenas-Guillen family but supposedly the Nepomuceno-Guerra descendants are currently going through a "drug renaissance". They've supposedly stepped up importing not just Colombian coke and heroin but also have formed relationship with a Sinaloan family that supplies them with black tar H. There's been a recent surge of quality of black tar and china white heroin in South Texas, Houston, and Dallas all thanks to the Gulf Cartel. If the CDG manages to sort the problems they have between warring factions I could see the resurgence of a stronger CDG.

I know what you mean. Yes that video you are talking are around 1 to 2 years old, but their has been more out. I personaly dont like to see them if they have violence. I only see the interrogations and stop there. People have said many time that R1 was dead or that he was killed but it has not been prove. It would of have been big news. I notice to that lots of sicarios and friends or relatives of them like to read the comments here at borderline beat. Some like to say or answer some questions. You can asked and wait to see if they respond to you. If you go back to borderline beat January 29, 2014, look for the article 4 tons of mariguana in camargo and look at the comment at feb 2, 2014 at 3:48am. Somebody asked about R1. Time later, someone by the name rey de reyes posted a comment as an answear. He stayded that R1 is fighting in Victoria and the area south of tamps. You be the judge.

  43. 8:32 if it were so important, the US an all other latin-american governments coul buy the all the drugs produced, pay the farmers twice as much as the middlemen pay them, give the drugs to the users for free, and save a lot of money on all te other fronts.
let's not confuse the drug traffickers quest for impunity and their greedy money needs with the needs of the addicted.
the chinese allowed opium trafficking for a while until they saw the damage to their country's economy and people; when they tried to stop and control it, the english declared war on china and took their ports on the strent of their superior weapons and navy, and reimposed their drug trade untill today, makng trillions of dollars per year until today.
reports are there that say 90% of the money generated by the drug trade ends up in private banks who then use said money to corrupt other countries, start all kinds of wars, obtain private ownership of state controlled enterprises. narcs are stupid businessmen, and always someone else's pawns. period...
