Jerez, Zacatecas; Zeta Territory

Through informal information about drug violence received from the general public one can only conclude that in Jerez, Zacatecas Los Zetas operate freely with total support of the local authorities. This is the relevant information, a collaboration of statements from different people about the situation.

One citizen wrote about the open activities of these thugs:
"In my town of Jerez Zacatecas to file a report to the local police or PGJE is like throwing the rope around your neck because these police agencies have been completely corrupted by the criminal organization of 'Los Zetas,' This is especially true with the municipal police.

In the town of Jerez it's nothing new to see cars and trucks with tinted windows bearing expired license plates from the United States or in many cases vehicles that have been reported stolen, yet the police or traffic officers do nothing. Inside these vehicles it's also common to see the occupants talking suspiciously on radios, or consuming drugs in public and in many cases they are armed with weapons. These men that we all know belong to Los Zetas do whatever they want; they stop traffic when they park in the middle of the street, they walk real slow like they own the street, they cut in front of the lines in banks, supermarkets, etc.

.... They think they own the streets and when they see young people riding in their cars with the music a little too high, they detain them, beat them and threaten them. Sometimes they take away their cars, or in some cases they tell the municipal police to handle it, who pick them up and beat them with boards."

As proof of the corruption in Jerez the following was told by a resident of this city that exposes the huge complicity between the police and the Zetas:
"Last Sunday I was taking a drive through the streets of downtown on Main Street when I saw a cop stopping and diverting traffic to another street, of course I obeyed, maybe there was some emergency or construction. I decided to take another street two blocks up ahead and to turn back to the street that was closed, and I noted that there were several trucks parked in front of a bar that I recognized as belonging to people that have connections to Los Zetas. I thought 'shit.' ... a complete command of municipal police blocking traffic just because criminal thugs are drinking in a bar ... that is nothing more than stupidity."

Another local resident added the following:
"I know several police officers and even a police commander who work for Los Zetas, they routinely conduct illegal checkpoints to steal cars and money from people. One of them, the commander, is known as Comandante Felipe, and other have stupid little names like el chikis, el negro, el guapo, etc, and so on.

If that wasn't enough the Mayor Eduardo Lopez Mireles, not long ago threw out the army from the city, the only incorruptible agency, who use to enforce the law as it should be. The military were the only ones that made Jeres feel safe, but now we can't even go out and enjoy our town because if you run into one of these thugs, is like running in to a child with a gun, they don't know how to use it and why even use it? The damage they are causing to the town or the damage they are causing to each other."

  3. This shit wouldn't happen in the US. We have crime and corrupt law enforcement like the rest of the world, but here they have to work like cockroaches. They can't close a street to drink and steal people cars. That shit would happen once, and then the FBI and every other agency would be up their asses. But, we do have a guy named Obama and Holder who will send thousands of guns and grenades to the bad guys in Mexico just for the hell of it. I read the other day that Obama wanted to officially apologize to Japan for Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I think he should start by apologizing to the people of Mexico for helping the cartels have all the guns while the innocent take the abuse. Sad we have such a pile of shit leading us AND Mexico at the same time.

  5. At the marines and military have their hands full right now in Veracruz. Jerez is not not a top priority.

  6. The liberal left human rights book worms and little pencil neck lawyers who sit around debating legality should be forced to live in these towns without any private security so they can live with the fear the average Jose lives with. Even with that it will take a gun stuck down the throat of one of these human rights hippies with nobody to help them for them to realize and even then they probably won't.

  7. @ 2:09 PM

'Hippies' have absolutely nothing to do with anything that is going on in Mexico, that is just clueless. Mexico is out of control because they have a weak central government. When your federal government is weakened, criminals will fill the void. Solution: more government.

  8. People of Jerez, Zacatecas, and of all the other places of Mexico and of the world, there is the solution for your Zetas problem and for cartels etc. problems: El Lazo (ingl. lasso) para el Lazca etc. about which you can read here: http://www.world-prayer-for-life.org/pg026.html.

If you don't use El Lazo for el Lazca and others like him then he and others like him will use el lazo for you, but made of most horrible crimes.

Regarding the use of El Lazo remember: 3, NEVER 4!

And don't get me wrong regarding el Lazca etc.: “Is it my will that a sinner should die, says the Lord God, and not that he should be converted from his ways, and live?” (Ezekiel 18:23).

My Parents are from Jerez i was there last August for about 2 months othing really happend except an old man was murdured while working his farm they took his tractor and truck but i think he was able to kill one before they killed him everyone was saying it was the Z. I was expecting to see convoys and armed civilians but i didnt see anything just municipals with uzis. A relative said he met el 50 in jerez and he was in a new ford truck with 3 others and AK type rifles on the floor of the truck. But really all i saw was deported american gangbangers claiming to be Zs. Last thing i was playing Chapo Corridos the whole time but not loud so i was kind of scared and that red mortercycle is alwas at that modelo store.

  11. Same silly responses. Send the Marines, it can't happen in the US, and those darn liberals. I am almost trying to figure out why the article was written. Do you not think this is happening in every town in Mexico. Come on guys, it's in all of them. Every single city and town in Mexico has this. How can y'all even give this article much thought. If you are a BB reader, you know it is everywhere. What it is, they used that nasty word to get your attention, Los Zetas. And they twisted it by saying the bad municipal cops and mayor ask the good military to leave. Remember, the federal police are as corrupt as state and local police. Remember, just 6 weeks ago the military tried to kill the police chief of Juarez, one that is not labeled as corrupt, Leyzola.

11:40 AM...The Marines aren't going because Chapo has not said he wants that town.

12:41 PM...This shit is happening all over the US, they just deal their drugs in a less conspicuous way with more intelligent dealers. None the less, they are taking all the money back to Mexico. If you want to be all macho in the US, go to some of the shooting galleries run by the Zetas in Dallas and Houston and talk your macho shit bad ass. Where is the mighty FBI there. They steal cars all over the border states. Check car theft rates. They car jack all over to. They also do home invasion robberies. Where is the FBI? Working on sending the cartels guns and making propaganda for people like you to fall for.

2:09 PM...Rush, is that you? What does a liberal have to do with any of this. Is that you knee jerk response to something you know nothing about so you blame it on someone you perceive as you enemy? I mean really fellow, what liberals do you see running around Mexico making any impact? And don't go to the poet, his son was murdered and he wanted the world to know how little his government was doing to stop this crap. What does a lawyer have to do with any of this either. Focus on what the article and site are doing.

These responses have no substance whatsoever.

  12. j just read where rolando veytia bravo jr. was released from jail, turns out he was stopped because it was a stolen car....what to believe...well l'm glad not to see his head detached from his body...

  13. They arrived in late 2005. Pretty much extorted everyone they knew had money in town and took over the local drug trade. You don't see the convoys but that doesn't mean there is not a threat from them, they are known to ambush people by swarming in nondescript autos out of nowhere. They kidnapped several people & AFI does not investigate their Crimes because they are a part of that group.
When the army is sent in they leave to the city & their local thugs just go back to their little ranchos surrounding the town.

  14. Why is there not some form of hotline 911 whatever so that force can be applied to correct this gang infested crap?? Narcos especially Zs need to be made part of the history of Mexico!!

You sound like an idiot.."i was playing Chapo Corridos the whole time but not loud so i was kind of scared.." If you were scared why would you continue to play that garbage music, in a rival DTO territory?

  28. Its really unfortunate that the mexican government is allowing these low lifes run the city of Jerez. Im from Jerez myself and I know how beautiful jerez was before the zetas came into the picture. Other cartels have always moved drugs around and through zacatecas but the zetas simply want to take whatever they want without any personal effort.

  29. Two dead bodies in underwear with a note and a knife stabbed into the chest holding the note..this was my fucken welcome to Jerez from the Zetas...never passing through there anymore...
