11 "Polizetas" arrested in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon

Valley Freedom Newspapers/The Monitor

A police commander and eight police officers from Sabinas Hidalgo in the state of Nuevo Leon have been detained. They are suspected of being informants for the Zetas and tied to the July 1 murder of two federal police.

Mexico’s Secretariat of Public Safety announced the July 5 detentions Thursday.

The commander was identified as Ricardo Francisco Monsiváis Tovar, 25.

The police officers were identified as Gerardo Isaías Quiroz Sosa, alias “Tercero Quiroz,” 28; José Castulito Granados Salazar, alias “Castulito,” 30; Roque Antonio Buentello López, alias “Roca,” 25; Juan René Alemán Camacho, 38; Carlos Adrián Medina Cantú, 29; Daniel López Ábrego, 22; Heraclio Ruiz Treviño, 25; and Juan Antonio Sánchez García, 39.

The suspects are believed to be tied to the killing of two federal police officers July 1 in Sabinas Hidalgo in that they notified the Zetas of their presence.

The operation also resulted in the detention of José Guadalupe Bautista Medina, 26, and José Luis González Guardián, alias “El Wicho,” 45.

The Secretariat of Public Safety said that according to law enforcement in the United States, González Guardián is suspected of trafficking drugs into Texas.

The operation also led to the seizure of a police patrol vehicle from Sabinas Hidalgo, a Cadillac Escalade, a Ford pickup, three pistols, 160 rounds of ammunition, 100 plastic bags with a leafy substance believed to be marijuana, four mobile telephone systems and five radio communication systems.

  2. It really doesn't matter. The system is set up that in 12 months their replacements will be doing the same thing for the same or a different cartel. And these 11 men will be released in 4 months due to lack of evidence. They will be full cartel members or working for another police force near by.

    And the Band Plays On.....lol

  8. Sadly, 3:58pm,, every word you say is the truth. These corrupt cops will be back on the street in a few month if not sooner as full time enforcers

Nice effort, but until we see daily reports like this, I don't have much hope things will change.

If we made a big deal every time a group of mexicans were shot and killed we wouldnt have time for any other news. besides mexico censors most of its news so its hard for us to tell whats really going on down there

  13. Is it mainly mexicans posting on this thread? If we're ( USA) is the problem, why would we waste our time trying to help?

We have millions of guns in the US... Yet for the most part we're civilized. Time to step back for a sec a look at your own country and please stop blaming our great nation.... You know, the nation you hate but year after year, millions of you illegally folk to us!

  14. I still say the NRA and ATF is to blame for making it easier for these straw buyers to purchase weapons and put them in the hands of these assassins. The weapons that were used to kill u.s. federal agents in mex and u.s. were all traced back to the u.s. So much for the 5th Amendment. Tell that to the families of the slayin.

How Civil is it of you to support Dictators?
Operation Condor, Operation Ajax, Iran Contra, etc.
Very Civil, and now Nixons war is getting closer and closer, how Civil of you to not go after your Cartels because if you did you would be finding
your own hung by bridges, but thats too Uncivil for you so you rather spill it in other places.
so you can feel good about being so Civil.

Holder Lied: DOJ News Release Shows Obama Admin Approved ATF Mexico Weapons Smuggling
    Tim King Salem-News.com
Eric Holder gave false info. to a Congressional Committee last May about ATF operations tied to the deaths of two U.S. Agents; we have the proof.

Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and Special Agent Jaime Zapata from ICE both died from weapons that were sent to Mexico from the United States. There is no knowledge as to how many lives the U.S. weapons smuggling programs claimed in Mexico.

(SALEM, Ore.) - New information indicates that U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder's actions are squarely behind the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) operation known as "Fast and Furious", which orchestrated the delivery of almost 2,000 weapons to Mexican drug cartels[1].

Holder openly proclaimed his connection to the operation in April 2009 during a publicized speech in Mexico, then told a Congressional Committee in May 2011, "I probably heard of Fast and Furious the first time in the last few weeks."[2]

The ATF weapons smuggling ring involved the arrest of several government officials with the city of Columbus, New Mexico including the mayor and police chief, but that is all[3].

They were apparently known from the beginning and the weapons deals with 'straw buyers' were videotaped. Smuggled U.S. weapons from this operation, described as mostly semi automatic versions of military weapons like the AK-47, were found to be used in the shooting deaths of two U.S. federal agents.

The new information, which is not really new at all, proves that Holder had to be aware of the U.S. government weapons smuggling operation planned and implemented by federal agents from ATF which he denied to Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) less than two months ago, as detailed below.

Lawmakers from both houses, investigating Operation Fast and Furious, fired off a terse and angry letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, accusing him of issuing "false denials" and "distorting the truth."
On Independence Day, acting ATF head, Kenneth Melson, testified before Congress with his own attorney present. Rep. Darrell Issa, chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, said Melson chose July 4 to show the public he was appearing voluntarily and on his own time.
Melson was scheduled to appear before Congress July 13, with DOJ and ATF lawyers present. According to Issa, Melson was never told by the justice department that he was able to attend a voluntary interview with his own lawyer present.
During the interview, Melson said when he first learned of the operation, he was, "sick to my stomach." He went on to say that he moved to reassign every manager involved in Fast and Furious; however, he was not allowed to tell Congress of the reason for the reassignments.

  19. Dictatorship??? Ya your right, we live under an iron fist here... Best laugh I've had in a bit. Far as seeing our own hanging from a bridge... That might happen once or twice but nothing close to whats happening in mexico. Give your head a shake, splash some water on your face and wake up. While the united states may be hated, you can't argue the fact that every year million upon millions see something good enough to leave everything behind for a shot at real freedom.... How many people are clambering to reside in Mexico??????... Best guess... 0
