Polizetas are Accused of Being Halcones

Soldiers and federal agents seized the facilities of the Police of the municipality of Guadalupe in the Monterrey metropolitan area in an operation in which twelve officers were arrested, officials said Monday.

Federal officials have pointed out that one of the main obstacles in the war on drugs has been the corruption of the police, so that that investigation of 400,000 municipal, state and federal police throughout the country have been necessary

In an operation they arrested six municipal officers, including a commander who was responsible for the canine unit of the agency.

While in another operation, Mexican Marines detained six other agents of the state of Nuevo Leon, which borders the United States and is the capital of the state of Monterrey.
